- It's alive!!! The new engine is finally in. It still needs a bigger throttle body, runners, tuning, etc. but even this way it has become even more fun. So far it runs much better at higher RPMs and when you standing behind the exhaust pipes, it sounds brutal. As for the video, it will sound much better with headphones.

This just confirmed my route. I have an 84 base camaro that is ls/9"/t56 magnum and getting an lsa now and I just bought a mostly stock very nice 88 Maui Blue TA with a Digital Dash (non-gta) which is 305tpi / T5. It runs and drives great as is but I'd like a bit more out of it. I'm finishing my camaro up this summer/fall but I'm picking up an L31 vortec out of a 98 suburban soon that I'd like to put into the TA and really want to keep a TPI setup to keep the car somewhat original feeling. Definitely going to replicate this setup, it sounds amazing and clean! Car is obviously super nice too!

@@V8AmericanMuscleCar things are looking good for it, scored an insane local deal for an OG Street & performance (Sounds like they went out of business in 2005 when the owner passed away) TPI Throttlebody/ Full Upper/lower Intake with their ported SLP large runners and their ported base. Should be enough to let the mild LT4 cam L31 breathe enough to be fun with the tpi!

When it runs, it runs strong but now it doesn't run well, I still have to check some sensors. I'll make a video then. I can't wait to give it a fair ride too. 😁

One of my favourite cars, i always wanted to have one, since one model did talk and jumped and etc... ehehehhe
The talking one is the first car I remember as a kid so when I saw this one I had to have it. Fortunately I wasn't married at the time because that makes buying a car like this way more complicated. 😅 If you get the chance, take it. They are very fun to drive.

Maybe there are a few of them hidden somewhere in garages of Portugal. 😉 But they are not very rare in Europe, don't give up.

@@santamanta69 yes, that was 305 5 speed from the factory. Unfortunately it wasn't matching number engine when I bought it so I decided on something more fun under the hood. 🙂

Yes! European plates are too big so they don't fit in the bumper. In front I have a Croatian one and behind is this one from Florida. Once the police stopped me, they were driving behind me and I explained to them that the plate do not fit. They looked to see if I had front plate and they let me go. 😁

@@V8AmericanMuscleCar any drivability issues with the factory tune? I think the MAF cars do a little better with bigger cams than the speed density like mine.
@@andysteele4056 I did not change the knock sensor, so sometimes it works poorly and the exhaust smells of unburnt gasoline. But when decides to run well, it pulls strong.

Few years ago I bought new 350 TPI crate engine from Scoggin Dickey. It was already with cam, heads etc.

Ako misliš na ovo "svađanje" cilindara, to je normalno zbog ove bregaste osovine. Mirnije od toga ne može, a i ne želim jer uživo je zvuk brutalan. 😁 U ovaj komp se može ubaciti čip po specifikacijama motora ili drugi komp. pa se mapira. Za sad ću najvjerojatnije staviti bazni 5.7 program, pa kad stavim veće injektore itd. onda ću ga mapirati ili šta već odlučim. Kad stavim sve što mislim, vjerojatno ću na valjke.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar e dobro je bitno da se moze..ma ne mislim na svadjanje,da je bar jos agresivnija bregasta..nego kontam sad moze progutat vise zbog nje i glava
@@JedemPoKucama da, sad ova mapa od tvorničkog ne valja. Ler ima normalan, u nižim okretajima je čak i malo slabiji. Tamo gdje se prije gubio, sad puno bolje ide ali zna se i ugasiti kad naglo pustim gas u vožnji pa stisnem kvačilo kod zaustavljanja. Ne može ova mapa to više popratiti. Ali kažu ameri kad se sve to porikta, monstrum! 🙂

What exhaust setup are you running
@@felixortega21 pretty much everything is like stock except bigger pipes. From the part where the pipes join into a single pipe diameter is 2.75 inches and behind the muffler pipes are 3.15. Cat is deleted too.
