It's really sad that Best Buy is no longer selling physical media in stores because I remember going to Best Buy a lot over the years since I was a little boy and just thinking about how the store used to be filled with so many movies in rows of 7. I will cherish those moments forever.
Does anyone remember Specks, Sam Goody or Suncoast?😢
It's not the fact that it's just a store. It's the fact that something that brings you joy is leaving. Buying online doesn't bring joy tell you get the package

That was a beautiful final Best Buy Blu-ray hunting trip. I’m going to miss your BB song. Although, my local store closed in early 2021, the memories of getting physical media there still holds a special place in my heart. Getting Black Hawk Down 4K steelbook as your final Best Buy purchase was a great choice, Oppie 4K was my final BB purchase. I definitely enjoyed the final hunting trip and it even made me emotional.
I will miss ordering from Best Buy. My store never stalked the shelves much, so I didn't go very often.
Now Barnes and Noble is my go to place, because the other stores don't stock their shelves. Just very sad.
You are correct it may just be a store but it’s the memories made there every week that I’m going to miss. 😢 had some good times in a Best Buy hell I met my closest friends in or outside of damn Best Buy. I’m making one last trip to the store by my work office to pick something up then I’m done. Unless I need a video game or tv. Sad times bitter sweet Indeed.

I was told by Best Buy employees that they have to get rid of everything by the end of the month, so you still have time to go back.
I wouldn't stop going, until you're totally, sure and have checked every nearby Best Buy.
The nearest one to me had COMPLETELY EMPTY 360 shelves and "New Releases" shelf.
All that was left was basically, one two-sided rack with movies and a small-side cart with some movies.
Other Best Buy stores I've been to look very similar with the empty 360 shelves and such.
I wonder if maybe during the last week they’ll mark everything down real cheap

So sad physical media is going down, I knew about Best Buy would stop selling movies, so so sad for us collectors. Your trip to Best Buy and Walmart was like coming back to the US through a tunnel, for a while , just for fun, to pick up some 4ks and bd from that immense offer you guys have over there. I was expecting much better prices than those. New disney steelbooks are apparently just too hard to get rid of so those are actually marked down enough
You may want to reconsider picking up Arrow's 4k set of The Warriors (before it disappears like Witness did) as it contains the theatrical version of the film, which the previous blu-ray releases did not.

Here in the UK, we're really well catered for by HMV and they offer a massive range of movies.
Best Buy just doesn't compare in terms of what they offer.
I'm just wondering if Best Buy used to offer more range?
And are there other chains in the USA that specialise in movies etc?
I ordered all the $9.99 Steelbooks and picked them up yesterday at my local janky BB. They're not my type of movies but for $100 I'll put them in storage unopened and hope one of my nieces/nephews will appreciate one of them for a gift at some point in the future.

I’m gonna miss shopping at Best Buy, where I would buy my favorite movies, shows, and anime there. Now a days we’re gonna have to rely on buying on blu rays like on Amazon, eBay, gruv, right stuff anime, etc

I Just Picked up "The Northman" on Blu-Ray Last October at My Local Best Buy Near Me in Indiana.
I did a vid of me Best Buy browsing last October, because I knew the end of it was near. Had to film it for historical value of course.
Going blu ray shopping at Best Buy will be missed, as we unfortunately have to leave it in the past. At least there are a few other stores like B&N that still carry them.
"The Toxic Avenger" arrived in the mail today from Amazon. I also bought "Suicide Squad," "Black Adam," and "Wandavision." Wandavision arrives tomorrow though.
Thanks for reminding me to check out my local Best Buys. Even thought they are still open, they are dead to me…. 😂😂😂😂…. Just like Circuit City, Wiz, Borders and bunch of chains I bought from to my collection for 30 or 40 years…. 😢

I also stopped at Best Buy today and picked up that Equalizer 3 Steelbook, one of the Wakanda Forever Steelbooks (they didn't have the other one), and the Master Gardener blu-ray for $6. I'm also very sad that one of my consistent stops is coming to an end.

Its not just the store, but the experience. As time goes by this world is giving us less and less experience in real life. Everything is being digitalized and were slowly moving into a fully online lifestyle.
The Witness 4k LE is sky high now since it's out of print. I waited too long. Serves me right I suppose.

Great video Sue. Angel Has Fallen is the weakest one in the Trilogy but it’s still enjoyable. Been doing Videos at Best Buy since I started RUclips 14 years ago. It’s sad to see it end. I’ll keep going since I buy electronics from there but no longer going to the movie sections will suck.

Hey Sue, I’m blaming your awesome last Best Buy video for creating FOMO in me to drop over 💰200 today at Best Buy in Quakertown, PA. I picked up two 4K Young Gun Steelbooks, two 4K Equalizer 3 steelbooks, two 4K Ender’s Game steelbooks, a 4K 2 Guns steelbook, two 4K Smile steelbooks, a 4K Shazam: Fury of the Gods Steelbook, and a 4K Arrow Video Mallrats. The prices were too good on all these to pass up. The insanity is real. Thanks 🤷🏼♂️
P.S. I don’t even want to think about all the physical media I just ordered online at Best Buy. 😰 And January was supposed to be a catch up month for my finances. Oh well! One last hurrah for Best Buy physical media. 🥳🎉🍾👏🍻🎈🎁🥂

My Local Best Buy removed all remaining Physical Media out of the store before they open today.
I agree i use too love going into bestbuy but they closed 2 in my area now the one we have is further away only been there about 6 times in 2 years went this week just for the memories

Not me! Here in New York on Long Island, My Best Buy still have a lot of videos (4k, blurays). I will keep going until they totally stop selling videos. And buying online too and also buying from Walmart and Amazon and eBay BUT MOSTLY BUYING FROM BEST BUY. I spent over $1500 in a month or more. Keep going until best buy totally stops. Happy new year!
The witness 4K boxset is now out of print and any leftover copies were bought up when the sale started
I wish I lived in America - married with children boxset $17 brand new. That cost between £51 - £70 in the uk. I definitely would have picked that up 🤣😂

I don’t know what to say about this I’ve asked the employees at my Best Buy‘s (I’m in NYC) they’ve still haven’t said anything about Best Buy is not carrying movies anymore they’ve heard it through the Internet but their store is continuing to get movies every week and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop according to them. So this may not be your last trip to Best Buy‘s
Most stores have said February is when they expect to clear it out, but good to see some stores are holding on as long as possible.
My last movie from my local best buy was FNAF got it signed by Matthew Lillard last Saturday at the Creep IE Con what a moment to end my journey to best buy

I went to a Best Buy farther away from me Saturday for a steelbook. I picked up Thor Love and Thunder for $10.They had the Shuri Black Panther steelbook but not the Nambour. I had already brought those release week . Didn't end up picking up anything else from Best Buy since felt it was overpriced. Sad because am not going to be cruising around look at appliances like I would with movies. I did try some Dollar Trees and Big Lots on the other side of town near the Best Buy. Ending up getting Immorals 3D Blu $5.99 and Double pack Blu Reservation Road/Return to Paradise $3.99 from Big Lots. I recentily got 3D 4KTV so am buying a bunch of 3D Blu past couple months.
I'm truly saddened to see. They used to care for physical copies. Walmart is alright but now just for local cinema stores

I'm so sorry Susan even though I haven't been to a best buy in years because I don't live in America anymore I used to go into best buy and browse their physical media collection. I remember when they had their CD section and my favorite bands and musicians would come with a DVD or blu-ray when they came out with a new album and the games to I would look at and buy and movies yeah that was the main reason why I would go into a best buy now If I ever go to a best buy I might just buy some more wireless earbuds I'm crying Susan I don't have a physical media channel like you Ken Dave and others but I do collect a lot of movies and it really saddens me that best buy is no longer carrying physical media but I know there will be other places where we can get our movies. It just feels like a death in the physical media community which is like a big family😭😭 best Buy is now just a tombstone to us

If you watch her videos, she hasn't gone in almost a year or maybe more. Her Target doesn't have movies. She'll probably just stick to Walmart.

Target is worse than Best Buy for movies in most places and has been for years. They are going to pull physical media soon I bet.

My Best Buy is pretty barren now nothing with more than a few copies left. Yours still looks really stocked up! I think that the prices are pretty much as low as they'll go, so if anything is out there that you guys want that is there I'd advise to pick them up right away. I'd love to have picked up that copy of The Boys Season 3 for 17 dollars, that's a great deal. All gone in my region.

You're lucky youve still got a TON of movies left. My Best Buy has got probably down to like 5% of what you have left. They've never held that many movies even way before there was any talk of ending physical media.

Best Buy employees told me movies will stay in stores till the end of the month and then the displays will be removed so you’re kinda early
There's no reason to keep going if there aren't any more new releases.
More like whats left of their inventory. I rather go to Half Price and find full shelves of movies then going to Best Buy with whatever they have.

@@MoviesSue True but I've used your video to look out for which movies are on clearances prices, so it may be interesting to see how low prices drop. But I think they are about as low as they will possibly go. Your store still is pretty stocked up compared to a lot of others including mine.
