I'm referring to the M9a1 model I am aware of the surplus 9mms I'm not a fan of the heel release AT ALL and I don't think those are in surplus, and I live at poverty level 300 bucks is about half my rent, I like guns but I like not being a hobo again more
@@30cal23 Well I hope you’re able to find a great deal and get yourself the beretta you want! If you monitor gunbroker and armslist you might eventually find the score you’re looking for. As a side-note, I’d recommend the 92A1 over the M9A1. Very similar, but the 92A1 has another slot on its rail and has a longer service life, as it’s got an internal buffer system that reduces component stress, and a beefed-up slide. It’s actually a detuned 96-series pistol, where they basically took the more powerful .40S&W model 96A1 and rechambered it for 9mm, but kept the beefed-up slide and internal buffer system. As far as I’m aware, no other 9mm 92-series pistol has those durability upgrades.

Glock 19 if you want a black plastic box that go pew pew but is pretty reliable (also it is a bit small). Beretta 92 if you want a metal pistol that not only looks beautiful but also shoots great (although it is pretty big).

you can get surplus 92S and M1951 pistols for $200-$300. Very good guns if you’re looking for a reliable 9mm Beretta.
There's also the Girsan Regard MC and Taurus PT92 if you're interested in some budget friendly clones.
