There was no such microphone at this event, so all we hear is the applause from the members of the orchestra and choir.

USA-what can i say Amira. your first songs i thought were amazing, now they are beyond that. the beautiful vibrato in your voice brings me to tears. i enjoy listening to opera and i have never heard such a beautiful vibrato in any opera singers voice (or any singers voice). the high notes are spectacular but the vibrato is what moves people. you could mis pronounce all of the words in the song and i would not enjoy it any less. your voice is overwhelmingly beautiful and i am sure beautiful voices transcends all languages and mis pronunciations. thankyou amira for such beauty
very good analysis. i will be listening for squillo. people hear different portions of a voice than others depending on your frequency range. your ears may be better than mine therefore i may not be able to enjoy squillo like you do. thanks for the technical discussion. i am electronic tech and on researching your squillo point of view has made me realize how complex the human voice is. there are some singers i enjoy but i cant understand why i have to go back and listen to them over and over like a vocal addiction. i assume that the reason it is that way is that they sing in my frequency range and am getting all the harmonics of the beautiful voice . in amiras case she not only has a beautiful voice but she is a beautiful person and am curious (because of her age) to see just exactly where her pinnacle of perfection is going to be. you dutch are so lucky to have such a amazing phenomena. I am listening with high quality headphones and at this venue all of the notes from the upper middle to her upper registerare washing out. Sorry it's the best I can explain it. It turns part of the frequencies of her voice flat or muddy. Someone commented it was the wrong Mic and audio setup for her voice. Does that make sense. other performances of Amira s are fine. The reason I bring it up is because some people have commented that she has lost some of the wonderful vocal quality she had when she was younger, but I don't think it's her voice Its the audio setup at this venue. Could it have something to do with it being a tv broadcast ?

Lovely concert. Amira's artistry is so much better when she sings with an orchestra and conductor, as in this case. Her technique is steadily improving and singing Mozart arias is just what she needs. I do wish she would drop "Nessun Dorma" which is an aria for a spinto tenor despite pop stars giving it a try. Earlier on she used to sing "Ode to the Moon" from Rusalka and did it extremely well. She might also add some new lyric pieces from light operas and operettas. Her voice is ideal for Lehar's "Vilja, o Vilja, the Witch of the Wood."

So she might have made some minor mistakes on the lyrics but you cannot deny (unless you are brain dead) that her voice is stunningly good and maturing beautifully. So just enjoy her amazing performances and chill out!
She has sung that "O mio babbino caro" so often since she kind of figured it out from RUclips that it must be almost impossible now to correct the lyrics, the phrasing, etc. If you listen to "Voi che sapete", you’ll notice the lyrics are nearly perfect there, as well as the phrasing. She probably learned that with a teacher/vocal coach. Somehow I feel she just loves singing and doesn’t care too much about anything else, even if the orchestra isn’t too good or when her mother goes completely off-track on her recorder (at a Christmas concert in a church in Nijmegen, during a wonderful version of Gomez’ Ave Maria which I hope she’ll put on her next CD).
I'm lucky not to be an expert and Amira liked me even more when she was nine years old and she had not received any singing lessons that she was not manipulated by a legion of "experts"
From where did this last note come ? This is new - even the formation of her lips shows what must be her relatively new achievement. All I can say is WOW !!!
In Amira's VPRO Titaantjes documentary Miranda van Kralingen gave Amira some techniques on the formation of her mouth and lips when singing. Amira also has a new singing teacher. Here Amira is beautifully putting all that recent instruction into practice.

There is a video of a recent interview of Amira where she says that "Schilpaddie" now stays home and doesn't travel with her.
