I thought you were super brave shaving your hair and so are people who grow the colour out , I couldn’t do it!! I went grey by having highlights every 4 weeks!!( expensive) but eventually I didn’t need to do it anymore and I haven’t dyed it for yrs now and can’t imagine ever doing it again. But wow it was a big deal for me to go grey admittedly I have very white hair so it does look quite funky and people always say what colour do you have on your hair and a lot of the time they don’t believe me when I say it’s all me!! It’s definitely easier to do the transition from blonde it’s not as much of a shock xxx keep being fabulous 💗💗💗
I think you've done the right thing for you and like you said, listening to your gut instinct is really important. You have absolutely NOT let anyone down! You should be really proud of yourself for getting as far as you did! 4.5 months is the best part of half a year for goodness sake! :o) One thing though... I'm glad you have only put the semi-permanent dye on because just incase you wish you hadn't stopped a few weeks from now, this will be so easy to carry on from, but a permanent dying or bleaching would be basically starting from scratch. It's got to be harder though also because you were stuck between a cut you didn't really like and a colour you really didn't like, which is probably why the cut seems much better now with a colour you prefer on . If I was you - which is a silly statement because if I was you I'd have just done what you've done, but you know what I mean ;o) - I'd keep on with the semi-permanent dyes until you have your cut exactly the way you want it, so it quiffs like you want and goes behind your ears and so on, and then maybe try the grey again just to check, and if it's still not working then you know it wasn't the cut after all. Either way, please believe you didn't let anyone down AT ALL - Yes, we're here for the journey with you, but we're also here because of you and the way you do all your videos xx

Hi! I have been doing my silver grow out for two years. I can totally relate to not being ready, as this is my fourth time transitioning. I’m 47 now, two years in, could be fully transitioned if I just went shorter, and I’m still not sure how I feel about my salt and pepper hair. I waffle back & forth over whether I should or shouldn’t. I started an Instagram to be encouraging to others in the journey, but I’ve never really hit the place where I, personally, feel awesome about my silver streaks. They’re nice enough. I don’t hate them. But I also don’t love them. I’m just ‘meh’ about it. What I HAVE learned is that transitioning the silver is an emotional journey and a “growing as a woman” thing. It’s discovering and accepting what’s under the hair makeup and seeing the truth of it. I am learning to do what I WANT with my hair. Right now I feel conflicted. I have created a monster in my husband who is so much more for the grey than I am! Lol He makes me feel guilty about the possibility of dyeing it again. However, if I want to dye it cherry red, then I should be able to do so with no muss, no fuss. I’d really like a nice plum color ,to be honest!

I think you did great. If you don't where happy with your natural hair,it is ok. You are really good with any colour and hair cut . For me,that is totally white it has been a tough journey. I started to get grey when I was in my 20's. Coloured it for years. But it is thick and massive. Grows so fast . So I gave up. But for my kids,especially my daughter, it was tough. Many asked her if I was her gran. Looking older than women ten years older than me . But maybe,one day I will try again. Dying my hair helmet red again.
Yes, your channel was recommended because I was following people’s grey journey. I will continue to follow you though because I feel connected now! But I do agree that what’s important is how you feel when you look in the mirror. I’m still jazzed about my grey coming in...but I’ll recolor it in a heartbeat if I don’t care for it once it’s all in.

Its not a fail hun, as long as you are happy. Im happy at the moment that I chopped my hair off & haven’t dyed it but mine was mostly grown out but with semi permanent did grow out. I have been every colour under the sun as well. I did shave of my hair years ago too.

I stumbled on your channel and nearly fell over, we had the same hair, the natural quiff and all. This is the 3rd time I tried to go gray and this time I'm doing it. The difference between you and me is I'm 60 years old and sick of being a slave to hair dye. If I was your age I'd keep on coloring it. When you're my age you may be ready to try again. I like the purple and it is probably taking better with the grey bits. I was also surprised that it wasn't whiter as it grew out. Not the right time but it has been interesting to watch anyway.

@@LightningLassTCB Hun it's how the body works... we are almost like the trees, we lose hair cause our body it's getting ready for the colder months, but also our nervous system can do the same if we get too stressed, depressed of after a big "shock" :-( In doubt go to a neurologist, I went to one when I almost got bold more than 20 years ago. xxx
you could have thyroid problem your vitamin d difinacy or iron if it falls out. Could be anything stress , anxiety. you could try anti breakage shampoo. or plantur. Watermans is brilliant growth product. The purple is a nice change if you didn't like it. Have you tried women vitamins ?

Hi Michelle i am 48 years old and i am very grey and i dont like it and i do drying my hair every six weeks because you can see the grey comeing through and i hate and i do get a permanent hair colour i go for reds and purple colour and i do get dark blue as well i started going grey in my 20sh and i have dry it every sin i know i not ready to go grey yet i got my permanent colour yesterday so i going to clour it at the weekend back to myself again and wait for six weeks again ps you are looking good hen ❤❤

@@LightningLassTCB Hun it's how the body works... we are almost like the trees, we lose hair cause our body it's getting ready for the colder months, but also our nervous system can do the same if we get too stressed, depressed of after a big "shock" :-( In doubt go to a neurologist, I went to one when I almost got bold more than 20 years ago. xxx

you could have thyroid problem your vitamin d difinacy or iron if it falls out. Could be anything stress , anxiety. you could try anti breakage shampoo. or plantur. Watermans is brilliant growth product. The purple is a nice change if you didn't like it. Have you tried women vitamins ?

Hi Michelle i am 48 years old and i am very grey and i dont like it and i do drying my hair every six weeks because you can see the grey comeing through and i hate and i do get a permanent hair colour i go for reds and purple colour and i do get dark blue as well i started going grey in my 20sh and i have dry it every sin i know i not ready to go grey yet i got my permanent colour yesterday so i going to clour it at the weekend back to myself again and wait for six weeks again ps you are looking good hen ❤❤

Got to say you look lovely with colour to your hair, I'm grey but bugger me nobody will see that till my 70th birthday haha, I've got the dye on and the keys are still swinging in the door its that fast haha, its how you feel and nobody else, because if you feel crap it shines out, the minute you put that colour on your hair the joy in your face was palpable lol xxx
