When not consumed in one sitting, the recurrent enemies are not as bad as it's depicted here. Having played the game over the course of about 2 weeks, it's a wonderful world I loved to return to every time. The soundtrack is also noteworthy. Also check out the Hidden Orchestra - Wingbeats and Night Walks albums before or after playing.
It's certainly more straightforward than Machinarium -- everything you need will be clear and will be on the same screen as you. And for me, it was also much more fun than Machinarium.
James O’Berry....you’re in for a real treat with Creaks. I was so sad when the game ended. Machinarium seems to be such a well loved game, but have to admit, the fact that it’s a point and click puts me off a little. I’ve heard that there are puzzles, but not sure to what extent. After horror, puzzle games are are my next favourite genre, so would definitely give it a try if I knew it was a predominately a puzzle game.
I haven't played this game...so take this with a grain of salt...but the art style is stunning for this game. I feel like it should have been mentioned alot more in this review.
David King, relaxing is the key word. I’m playing this game today, eating birthday chocolates, wrapped in a blanket and letting the grey clouds do their thing outside. Interesting piece of trivia about the music as well.
@@azuregiant9258 just realized how pretentious that "Did you know...?" fact looked when written out. Nonetheless, glad to hear of someone as tranquilized about this game
David King......you didn’t sound pretentious in the slightest. Comments in general can sometimes get a little repetitive. It’s nice to read something that’s interesting for a change ☺️👍
@@pearspeedrunsyes dude. Just... YES. Imagine 8-bit pausing the video to break down the layers and atmosphere of each track and how it makes you feel. I got this game knowing Hidden Orchestra's music prior to this games release, so 8-bit doing a video to this would be hype
Not a word about the unreal art design in the review. Most people play Amanita Design games only becuase of the art and will wonder how Creaks compare to other of their titles. I really wonder if the reviewer was familiar with any their works.
Other than the paintings, it looks like every puzzle is just repetitive. How many times can you run back and forth, go up and down the ladder, to escape a desk? The whole game apparently.
As the review said, every single puzzle is distinct. The mechanics are used in unique ways. This is the mark of a great puzzle game design. If you need to teach the player 40 things for 50 puzzles, you have a sparse and flat game.
The art design is INCREDIBLE. I can already feel the atmosphere.
The soundtrack alone is worth it, to me. I really enjoy Hidden Orchestra :)
Exactly
If you like the art, check out machinarium. It is a point and click adventure, but a good one. It is from the same artist.
This might be my favorite puzzle ever. Absolutely Amazing. The soundtrack, the atmosphere, the stunning graphics... the cleverness! 10/10
For beginners who like this style, what others would you recommend?
@@gregoryhaddock5395 if u liked this one try all amanita design games
@@aakashvarma143 Will do. Thank you
I love the game but wish there was more interaction with the environment, since it is so beautiful and detailed.
Almost finished the game. Your review is spot on and very well written!
From the makers of Machinarium?.
Yep, machinarium, samorost, botánicula

Thanks for the orchestra recommendations
I don't think there was any complaint at all in this review about enemy types being reused. Maybe the opposite.
This game was amazing. The story, the artwork, and the gameplay was relaxing.
Amanita Design do another masterpiece...
I like the art style. Looks there are alot intersting atmospheres
Very nice game, hard puzzles and great atmosphere...!!! Almost finished...i hope there's no disappointing ending.
Loved playing this on my IPhone! I will be getting this for my switch too.
Would you say that this game is easier or harder than Machinarium? That game was HARD but very rewarding at the end
It's certainly more straightforward than Machinarium -- everything you need will be clear and will be on the same screen as you. And for me, it was also much more fun than Machinarium.
Reminds me of a beautiful game called Machinarium
It's from the same studio :-)
You should try Botanicula by the same studio, it’s one of my all time favorite games. The Samorost trilogy is great too
I’m around two thirds of the way through with Creaks and never want it to end! Are the puzzles similar in Machinarium?
Laurel Reef I haven’t played Creaks yet, but Amanita’s other stuff are traditional style point and click adventure games

I'll pick this up. Looks cool !!

Great review. No notes. Well, I suppose I'd probably score it higher than 7.
Its a good choice for a relaxing puzzler. Did you know that every track in the game is completely randomized in its composition?

That’s really interesting. It would be cool if 8-Bit Music Theory did a video on it.

I wanna play this. I love the devs..
First time I heard of this game. It looks interesting
you should play it, i continuously played it for 15 hrs and completed it without any help. Such a brilliant game
You should also hear about Samorost (1, 2, and 3), Machinarium, Chuchel, Botanicula, Thimbleweed Park, Monkey Island, and Broken Age.
This kid explores an amazing giant caverns, but must avoid posesed ghosted furnitures, that may hit this kid and make to perish and cry.
Pls help I get black screen error when I start the game in pc ( gog version )
Looks awesome love this company
It's not my Amanita Design favourite. I would rank it lower than Samorost 3 and Machinarium but higher than Botanicula.
2 thumbs up. I just finished this game. Game is amazing.
This game is really good I just finished it

This game looks interesting
After playing samorost 3 and machinarium i know this will be good
The art style of this game reminds me of flipping death
This looks VERY Machinarium......Is this a new Amanita Design game? @.@
What did the video say?
Fun fact: *Everyone else including me who is commenting right now hasn’t even watched half of the video yet*
Here because I saw it onsale on the ps store probably cause of the corona virus
10/10
Gives me machinarium vibe.
Same dev
