I think the “speed bumps” are meant to be wooden planks put over the ballast / ties so workers can cross the tracks without worrying about getting stuck or tripping, but exaggerated so that you can trick off them. But yeah, those would totally cause a derailment the way they’re done in the game.
Ah yes, Super Bell Subway. My favourite track in the series, I love this track so much. I love dodging the trains online, I suck at it but it's so satisfying drifting past them all. I'm probably not gonna use the guide since I time trail 200cc almost exclusively but it's great to watch anyway! Edit- Just watched the video, and 1: I will definately learn that low trick on the stairs, and 2: in my experience I seem to be the only person who ever picks this track online, so I think we have very different experiences there. I think at most I've gotten, like, 5 people picking it at once, since I started playing again last year. I wish I had your experience because I could play this track all day.
This course was frustrating to play but once I was finally beating the red subway train on Lap 3 it was so satisfying. In a weird way, the difficulty dropped once I didn't have to try to drive around that subway train. I didn't find a good way to consistently get the low trick off the boost panel at the end, so I shook my controller and hope the motion trick would get it. All in all this is my 2nd least favorite track, only above Toad's Turnpike. I don't really like the tight spaces around the subway, the theming isn't that interesting and there's no outside to look at as it's entirely underground, and races can quickly go to hell if you hit a subway. It did give it a fair grind in time trials though so I can at least know where to drive, making it a little more tolerable.
@Bayesic: when you say "miniturbo trick off the ramp", does that mean that you need to release ZR and immediately press it again just before the ramp? Just to be sure :)
Three reasons 1) Cause taking full advantage of the mini turbo stat is really hard and only saves like 1-1.5 seconds over heavy characters on most tracks 2) If you DON’T take full advantage of mini turbo it’s much slower than using heavy characters 3) the main purpose of these videos is to teach you how to play the tracks as if you were going to take these strategies online, and for a variety of reasons, babies just aren’t really that viable online
@@Bayesic Yea we need a guide with shrooms. The lines you have in your shromless guide are harder than you make them seem. Most of us will never be anywhere near as good as you. I'm barely good enough to beat some of the harder ghosts with shrooms even though I always beat all my friends online.
Long story short…. Meh lol. I wish we got more tracks from actual previous games in the franchise instead of the booster pass being treated as a dumping ground for mediocre tour courses… buuuuuut still worth the $25
I am wondering how much difficulty you have with pulling off all these strats (not only from this track) in mirror mode? I fail many of the NISCs on mirror mode (or dodging the trains in this case) as my brain is extremely confused...
@@Bayesic I am pretty much a beast on tracks like rainbow road, dragon driftway and neo bowser city as winning on these tracks is heavily dependent on soft drifting skills... It feels satisfying to play online as I tend to win very often in these tracks. However, when they come in mirror mode, I am driving like a clown 🤣🤡
I love how twisty and turns this track is. It’s really fun! The music is also really awesome. I also love the originality of it.

Greatly appreciate you making a video for this track. I was watching your vid where you run every course for ideas on how to play this track.

Best track in the franchise for sure.
I love how when I posted this it got 1 like immediately and now it has 0 likes- I dunno why, but I just found this funny.
Happy 2nd anniversary to Bayesic Training!
This track was frustrating to play...
Nice tip for the low trick on the stairs, will try it asap!
One more track to go. ONE MORE TRACK!!

On lap 3 I’m able to make a grand total of 5 Ultra Mini-Turbos. Then again I go “balls to the wall in favor of mini-turbos over speed”
Nice vid!
Can’t wait for Big Blue!
Liked and commented, thanks sir
Bell Cup, best cup ever!
Please do the 150cc tutorials for wave 1 tracks you didn’t do after the big blue 150cc tutorial
Great… now I want subway
Eat fresh breh
Can you add the timestamps as you did in your other videos?
Sorry will definitely get around to it, but probably not til tomorrow
Could you explain why a few records have Lemmy instead of the babies?

Basically yeah
Useful
y’know what i’m proud of myself as i had a 1:45.2 on my own 😂😂
Great vid! I have a question though; why don’t you use baby characters in your time trials if they have higher mini turbo?
Three reasons
1) Cause taking full advantage of the mini turbo stat is really hard and only saves like 1-1.5 seconds over heavy characters on most tracks
2) If you DON’T take full advantage of mini turbo it’s much slower than using heavy characters

@@Bayesic ah ok, thanks!
Random mod idea
What if
Leaf Tires could Ultra Mini-Turbo in 1 frame?
How BUSTED would that be
bayesic subway
Would you ever do a "beat the staff ghost guide" with less optimal lines that are easier for non expert players?
Yeah I'll probably do a video for every cup with shroomless lines and lines with mushrooms
he has shroomless lines!

I suck ass at mirror mode tbh lol
