i heard that freddie had to practice this for a year before he felt he was comfortable playing it live. that's true dedication to the music, since he probably learned the notes in a day.

this is just so unbelievably tight & beautiful - what a quartet - Freddie came to SF in 2008 prior to his death, and I missed the show. have always regretted that. but thanks for this - a worthy memory of his greatness.
This is jazz. No slowing no stopping. Pressure with trumpet and bass starts and goes to the end. This hardbop tune is one of the best tunes ever.
