I think this is really cool, but every person I've met says that puffing your cheeks is bad, and when I try to puff my cheeks, it is harder to hit high notes and have good tone. I would also recommend not blasting so much, because I hear the "spread" tone.
Nah man marching band actually requires good tone quality... I'm sure you're referring to pep band which is what he's doing in this video, where no one gives a shit about tone quality.
What were your infill settings and what material were you using? I've tried several times to make a cornet mouthpiece, but they keep breakign after a few minutes of playing.
This is really cool! I know I’m 4 years late but make sure to not puff your cheeks out and to tongue the notes instead of blowing into the horn every note them.
As someone trying to learn trombone and failing and seeing you playing those songs in succession really inspired me to practice more i just want to know how you did that noise in the 2nd song you played
Wow! 2018 Cura looks nothing like the newer versions! 🤯 The sound is not my favorite, but doesn't sound bad at all. I just don't like cracking sounds from brass. I'm more of a euphonium guy.
I play tuba and I have a 3-D printer myself and was going to very soon print a tuba mouthpiece and try it out you encourage me to do it in sooner than I FYI you can download one at thingiverse.com
Hello, I'm writing from Argentina. I work at a school of music. Could you tell me where can I find plans to make mouthpieces on 3d, please? Thank you very much.
It doesnt matter if they do puff their cheeks or dont. There are people that do puff their cheeks and are/were world famous. Wanna say that to Dizzy Gillespie?
When you play the lower notes I would suppose anything under a B flat you have to puff your cheeks for more slack on your lips and more air getting through
Here is the link for the mouthpiece on Thingiverse: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4816168
you are a legend! i play a different instrument than my friends and now i can play their instrument!
how much you charge per mouthpiece made?

It's still technique that needs to be improved.
Yeah, no doubt. I'm sure almost everyone that plays trombone has tone quality technique that can be improved.
Look, it's not good to puff your cheeks. That was my point. I am not attacking the guy. I just wanted to suggest something that would help him.
The views speak for themselves... You should do more of this stuff!!
Wonderful playing, I especially like the sing sing sing part
Could you please tell me how you measured the interior cup of the mouthpiece? I'm trying to do a similar project.
What filiment did you use? also did you use a special food grade filiment??
What were your infill settings and what material were you using? I've tried several times to make a cornet mouthpiece, but they keep breakign after a few minutes of playing.
Use more infill.
Dude that's AWESOME!!! Sing Sing Sing is part of my band's jazz show!!!
The fun part of Inferno ;) nice
I’m planning on making a clear resin printed mouthpiece, looks like using 3D printed ones work and doesn’t mess with the sound
Are you still alive?
This is really cool! I know I’m 4 years late but make sure to not puff your cheeks out and to tongue the notes instead of blowing into the horn every note them.
You should make a Megatone trombone mouthpiece
You’re so cool omg
Hey do you have the design files for the mouthpiece on thingiverse? Looks like something I’d like to try printing.
Thanks!
Is the sound different with a 3d printed mouthpiece?
Love that part in sing sing sing
What's he playing at 1:52?? Really curious because it sounds real nice and I would like to try it out
He is playing sing sing sing by Benny Goodman

Can you 3D print an entire trombone? That would be nice.
Were you playing The Inferno 😮
What’s the song you played at 2:28
1:53 omg! That Sing Sing Sing part was spot on! Good job
As someone trying to learn trombone and failing and seeing you playing those songs in succession really inspired me to practice more i just want to know how you did that noise in the 2nd song you played
you should really start a mouthpiece business. For Trombones and Trumpets. Maybe try making a reed next lol
Wow! 2018 Cura looks nothing like the newer versions! 🤯

But... Why?
It’s good, but 12c is trash
AH the puffy cheeks, no puffy cheeks!
It will stretch them until they look like chipmunk cheeks
Don’t puff your cheeks
It doesnt matter if they do puff their cheeks or dont. There are people that do puff their cheeks and are/were world famous. Wanna say that to Dizzy Gillespie?
@@trashbaglarry943 the difference is is that Dizzy had a medical condition
the only reason why you wouldnt puff your cheeks is because you look like a blow fish. it has no effect on how you play
En español
You don't tongue properly
You are not supposed to Puff your cheeks
True
savannah simson That's for playing the trumpet, you cashew. You're supposed to puff your cheeks for low brass
@@flissfloss915 no I'm a trombone player and the very first thing I learned was that you aren't supposed to puff out your cheeks
For the love of God man stop puffing you cheeks.
If you play low notes you need to to get a better air seal
Lanthaniel
Ikr
This should explain my point m.ruclips.net/video/JEzh4lyPriM/видео.html
I know but notes like pedal G or lower you get a better air seal on the mouthpiece
When you play the lower notes I would suppose anything under a B flat you have to puff your cheeks for more slack on your lips and more air getting through
Please don't be foolish enough to pay 20 Dollars for a mouthpiece like this...
