These are powerful discussions, I feel THESE are the videos I can discuss with Muslims. These are the videos that can really make a big impact on changing minds. To hear someone critique a scholar you’ve listened to for so many years in ways you yourself would never think/allow yourself to critique them, is really a game changer
Poor Allah, he cannot live without worship. He needs your praise like we need oxygen. Imagine burning someone for eternity simply because they didn't believe in you. How weak of the creator of the universe
Really enjoying this video. Not only do you both have a very human approach, as well as a lot of insight, but you also both have Arabic. You are the perfect hosts for this kind of video.
1:11:32 - yes. Similarly, when I was a christian I saw no point in praying for a dead person, since their ultimate fate would have been sealed at the moment of their death. I was mildly surprised to find that catholics do pray for the souls of the deceased. I was a kind of Calvinist, so I didn't really think that praying for the souls of the dead would have any bearing on what the outcome of judgement was for that person.
I find that so interesting. I was only Calvinist in early childhood but later was Methodist at a Catholic school and much of my family was Catholic or Lutheran for generations. Praying for the dead and lighting memorial candles for their souls has been perfectly normal throughout my life. Even without faith I light memorial candles to remember them.
Did that Jewish tribe actually betray mo , or did they just not want to fight against another tribe ? I wonder what the latest count of burned Churches and Christian homes is in pakistan ...
Nice collaboration🙏. I'm still at the question about praying for an unbeliever after they've died, but it reminded me of the dilemma that Palestinians had last year when Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was sadly killed while reporting on an anti-jihad operation. The Palestinian Muslims wanted to exploit her funeral for propaganda purposes, but Shireen was a Palestinian Christian so that caused a bit of a fight as to what was 'correct' or not.
1:24:38 That’s the thing I don’t think many people realize: religions define the terms for people. What a Muslim thinks is merciful is going to be different from what a Christian thinks is merciful in part because their religious upbringings differ and draw distinct lines in the sand where conflicts can arise. Such structures prevent people from being able to have their own understandings of what is good or justified based from their own natural experiences.
Because his adopted son and his childwife are already fighting over the inheritance at the grave. The big business. Remember the many wars the theft and raids. The old saint always took the biggest share!🤑
At least, as fellow men, you two had the empathy and compassion for non believers who are destined to eternal hell fire, especially talking of/for parents who raised their kids who are believers but parents are not Yet so called 'very merciful" Allah has other ideas, all knowing from the beginning. All Gods are just a charade, including the Christian kind. Well educated, intelligent mankind do a better job for humanity than ever elusive god/s. Keep up your good work.
Because they believe in a *dark* book, which brings darkness, misery to humanity, and no wonder they are joyless. We have the freedom to reason to give mercy, compassion, love and peace to ALL humanity hence our lives are always joyful, living without fear, hate or anger.
The difference between hoping and going public with a prayer is that hoping doesn't upset the apple cart. It's a similar notion that you find in many Muslim majority countries when it comes to sin. Many drink, have extramarital sex, even disbelieve, but they are lowkey permitted to do this as long as it is done behind closed doors, and the public façade of devotion is maintained.
Good work guys. The most important question 'why?' was answered by YQ at 1:13:44. Everyone seems to have missed it. This has been one of my biggest issues with Islam so I was paying close attention. The reason why a ruling is the way it is or why Muslims believe what they do is because that's what the Quran says. Khallaas. YQ says that at 1:13:44
Very interesting video... got a better clarity on the concept of afterlife. Keep collaborating with secular spirit, seems like a cool guy. Keep up the good work buddy
Imam Baqeer is in the same category as Mufti Abu Layth I think. MALM tends to reason in a very similar way. I really like MALM and I watched every q&a session he did when I was the final stages of my islam. For a while he gave me hope that Islam could be redeemed but there were times when I thought 'Mufti if you know these things how are you still a Muslim?' He rejects 'ijma as does Shaykh Akram Nadwi if memory serves. Shaykh Akram rejects tawaatur as well.
Good livestream. I am not a Muslim. In fact, I am one of those hell-bound polytheists. This discussion doesn't give me warm fussies about Islam. You have two fellows trying their best to make the best of a pretty clear hard line. Allah hates nonbelievers, especially polytheists. He's made up his mind and doesn't want to hear a word about it
Interesting; my impression of Bakeer’s view here was that you’re not allowed to hope it in your heart either… Does he actually articulate the ‘lenient’ position at any point?
He doesn't actually articulate the lenient position, but he basically is saying that when he brings up the example of Abraham "hinting" at being allowed to supplicate for his father.
@@SecularSpirit OK I listened back to the whole thing and you're right; he thinks the istighfar prohibition applies only to belligerent kuffar, although I guess his objection to YQ's 'feeling vs verbalization' distinction would work on either side of the argument

(3:144) Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and Messengers have passed away before him. If that is the case the logical question would be what is Muhammad doing in the shahada ❓
He’s the central cult leader oh sorry I mean the man with ‘great character.’ Not like he had entire verses dedicated to him having unlimited wives, and able to offer herself to him asking for marriage without dowry. (33:50) and notice how the verse says ‘if he’s (Muhammad) interested which consequently led to him harassing a woman who responded ‘can a queen give herself in marriage to an ordinary man’ in a sahih-Hadith (Bukhari) Or verses of Allah conventionally insulting any man who criticises or insulted Muhammad(Surah al-Masad and Surah al-kawthar) ;D
As a guy who goes to Indonesia quite often, a country with over 240M muslims, i can tell you that the imams use that "tactic" - to let their audience finish the sentence for them - all the time when i hear them in the speakers of the mosques they're preaching in. Also those mosque speakers are astonishingly annoying especially when the imams that call for prayer have a horrible voice because it sounds like they're screaming, a lot of the times they have kids on the microphone reading the qur'an or calling for prayer.. f*k me that's horrible, to hear a kid screaming for f*king hours.. 😱.... In the city i have been to, in the region of Banten, they do it all day long... and they start at about 4 - 4 :30 am 🥴.... Is that how the supposed heaven is going to be like for muslims?🤔 Hearing those awful screaming like sounds every day and having to pray every day 5-6-7-8 times day and night for the whole ETERNITY??? 😳 WTF.. what kind of a god is this nonsensical bs...
It will.grow.. Good seed take time to grow, but evil seed as Islamic seed grows faster than healthy plant.... In Muslims channel even the convert it grow by .100000 in less than a week..
Interruption is another way of putting words in other person's (YQ) mouth. As much as they complete the sentences of the opposition most of apologetics use these tactics to justify their claims.
Always wanted to see a supposed moderate debate an extremist muslim, but they never do, because moderate muslim don’t follow the quran and cherry picks the verses they believe. It’s ridiculous, they can’t defend their position so cowardly only debate those who are ignorant or reaffirm their argument. A theological debate of Islam is just two people talking nonsense for two hours, they accept the presupposition it’s true, with no evidence. It’s all built on a fallacy. Apparently it’s sooooo logical, but we can’t accept the disciples eye witness testimonials when they knew Jesus, but have to accept some one God never spoke to and came 600 years later. What stupidity.
My point on 9:113 is, If you cannot know if someone truly dies in a state of disbelief, then why did Allah, the all-knowing, put that verse there? That verse being there in the Quran means(islamically) that it is possible to know if ones dies as a disbeliever, or at least that what is apparent to us about the person is enough reason to not pray.
@@manulajo1803 logically there is only one sane conclusion : If you don't see or hear directly or via someone else that the person took shahada before dying, you shouldn't pray. If the 3rd party giving you the info is lying, then even if you pray there is no sin on you, but on the person who lied.

Dogmawise, prayer after a non-muslims death defeats Allah's purpose: His worship, and His worship alone. The deceased had their opportunity to worship God. They chose not to. It's not about being a good person, deserving of mercy. They committed the ultimate sin of not believing in Allah. They made their bed and must lie in it. Prayer for the deceased is an affront to Allah, as if His worship is not that important, as if it's not the biggest sin imaginable. As if God's judgement is not just. Thus the iman of the person praying is in question. In a nutshell: it goes against tawheed (pure monotheïsm).
Welcome to the confusing, contradictory world of Islam, Mohamed's words and his world. Even the Islamic scholars could not agree with only a small selection of Islam. I am pretty sure the UK Dawa gang too have their own versions. Yes to know Islam one has to learn Arabic was/is the cry. Of course Allah know/s best, the one and only omnipotent, omniscience. He should have picked English instead as it is the most used, spoken, written language if He ever had known or a vision. Arabic is the 6th, Chinese and Hindi are the 2nd and third. No wonder Daniel Haqiqatjou PhD gives the 'best' narrative of Islam which suite the eternal humanity (as it serves the women best amongst many other ridiculous things). Loved the programme, very thought provoking and educational to the world of Islam. Now we know why we 'all were born Muslims' but decided to become kufir, and I am lucky I did so. Yes eternal hell fire awaits me, as I never knew Arabic.
AP is wrong in his interpretation. Yasir meant by "verbalize" "to say out" hence he keeps touching his lips. When you touch your lips that means physical speech. Not "construction in your mind"
Why this Muslim man has to always use Arabic word that only few understand it , ? Very rude and annoying. + he talks as if he knows something but he is full of himself , and he attacked the Shia bcz they do pray for dead people forgiveness ! 😮

When he the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come, He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.”

Sad I missed it! Watching replay! 💜
@@tiryaclearsong421 that I do understand. When it's a ritual for us who remember them with fondness, then I can see the point.
So it’s permissible to hope for someone’s well being. How loving.
Did that Jewish tribe actually betray mo , or did they just not want to fight against another tribe ?
I wonder what the latest count of burned Churches and Christian homes is in pakistan ...
Well the thing is, the historical sources we have for the Jewish tribe betrayal are Islamic ones...
Yes I remember that.
nice work
Yo good stream
I guess Muhammad's parents are also in hell, he couldn't pray them to Jannah.
Wow, you guys should be teaching at Al-Azhar!
Wow, sweet Arabien Prince, long time no see ;)
At least, as fellow men, you two had the empathy and compassion for non believers who are destined to eternal hell fire, especially talking of/for parents who raised their kids who are believers but parents are not Yet so called 'very merciful" Allah has other ideas, all knowing from the beginning. All Gods are just a charade, including the Christian kind. Well educated, intelligent mankind do a better job for humanity than ever elusive god/s. Keep up your good work.
I can see why they have those dark circles under their eyes leading such joyless lives

Love this series on dissecting apologetics
Hi there. May I suggest a collaboration with the channel “cults to consciousness?” I believe it would be fabulous
So you can hope things in your heart that are forbidden by Allah ,but Allah knows what is in your heart 😅
Great content as always! The imam who kept cutting Yasir Qadhi off was starting to become unbearable. For the love of Zeus, just let the man speak.
You're a white male hiding behind. Fake account? Got it
Imam Baqeer is in the same category as Mufti Abu Layth I think.
@@misabel8719 Agreed. I feel like there was a lack of clarity in the end there.

The idea that you are “soft” on Islam makes me laugh as whenever I’ve tried to share your videos with Muslims they’d say you were being mocking and otherwise harsh. You just can’t please everyone LOL 😂
It’s just taboo
My Lord! You’re not the same person.
(3:144) Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and Messengers have passed away before him.
If that is the case the logical question would be what is Muhammad doing in the shahada ❓
He’s the central cult leader oh sorry I mean the man with ‘great character.’
Not like he had entire verses dedicated to him having unlimited wives, and able to offer herself to him asking for marriage without dowry. (33:50) and notice how the verse says ‘if he’s (Muhammad) interested which consequently led to him harassing a woman who responded ‘can a queen give herself in marriage to an ordinary man’ in a sahih-Hadith (Bukhari)
Or verses of Allah conventionally insulting any man who criticises or insulted Muhammad(Surah al-Masad and Surah al-kawthar) ;D

Imam Bakeer interrupted too many times
My point on 9:113 is,
If you cannot know if someone truly dies in a state of disbelief, then why did Allah, the all-knowing, put that verse there?
That verse being there in the Quran means(islamically) that it is possible to know if ones dies as a disbeliever, or at least that what is apparent to us about the person is enough reason to not pray.
Very interesting.
Question would be how can we be sure??
And why is it wrong to pray for somebody, especially when they are your love ones??

You are spot on, well said! The All Knowing is All Un-knowing, or perhaps "Allah knows nothing", what more could I say, probably one more. If the All Un-knowing had picked an educated man from the desert who could *read, write and comprehend properly* rather than an illiterate man (as the legend says) he could have written ONE comprehensive Book for people to understand in one voice, without misinterpretations, misunderstandings and contradictions. There would not be an Uthman to standardize the fictional Book after destroying the originals (in plural) many years after Mo, and there would not have to have Hadiths and Sunna to clear up doubts, contradictions and holes in the Quran and which too were *composed* only nearly 3 *centuries* after Mo's death. And now we have hundreds and hundreds of *scholarly Quranic Arabic tribes and sub-tribes* at each other in public, and much more in private to evade the gazing eyes of non-believers. They are not only at each other vocally but sadly physically too, in this day and age, so much for the religion of peace. Imaging this happening in the yesteryear, there would be brutal wars amongst Muslims, *did so* and are still on in some places on earth, so much for the religion of peace. Allah knows best.
