Yeah, I'd be hesitant just because I'm not sure where that content restriction begins. Likely it's on the upload related to the map, but with AI lately I wouldn't be surprised if there was something on the backend looking for red flags. Probably not. But I wouldn't wanna risk losing access to the app.
wish i had known this a few months back, when i lost my first dog. wish i could see her in 3d again because memories fade, you can't save them no matter how personal wish, is all i could do. but, thanks man i will start using it for my mum, dad, family pets, and other strays.
Thanks for the video! It's always a joy to see other people discover and share the same passion for photogrammetry, mixed with VR, as I have. :D If you like this, then I would highly recommend getting into photogrammetry, you can achieve much better results with other apps, if you are willing to put in the time. That said this looks super easy, compared to what i used to do! :D It's super cool, and I upload them to VRChat all the time. It's such a fun experience to share it with friends!
I've been scanning stuff for days. It's surprising how much experience it takes in landing a good scan. I'd been doing it wrong even leading up to this video.
Really interested but could you be a little clearer about watching the scan from an iphone on my Quest 3? I watched the video several times but you never mentioned the web address for scaniverse thing. Thanks!
@@davederave792 sorry, I just said search Google for Into the Scaniverse and that'll take you directly to it. I believe it's just Scaniverse.com, but you can also simply click "launch on quest 3" from the app and it'll open on the headset.
what am absolutely dreaming about it being posible on the quest 3 is to record raw fotage of the two stereoscopic cameras in 3D and play them RAW on the quest 3 display, no tiny 3d window screen. just played raw into the displays as it is. meaning full immersion and that it would be the worlds best 3D camera/viewer, and probably, most realistic.
@@bringhurstvr for me what matters at least, is the depth. and the cameras on the 3 are okay. what I meant is that the depth 3D will be rich and precise as other 3D videos that look flat or thin.
The app you linked to in the description says:. and export splats to PLY Gracia allows those to be loaded and viewed in 3D and lets you move around the environment.
I have an android phone (Samsung Galaxy A41) but google play store says the app (Scaniverse 3D scanner, LiDAR) won't work on my "device" ... any ideas anyone?
@@bringhurstvr I just tried searching it again, but this time from google, rather then the play store.. it still directed me to the same place, but this time the message was "Your Device Isn't Compatible With This Version"
This app makes me wanna upgrade. The adult content that could be done is a mind blowing thought.
I believe in has been done on flatscreen device such as smartphone but it make much more sense in vr

That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that.

Some day, for sure. But they aren't high resolution enough right now for that, I don't think.

I was able to view a .ply file scan with gracia feom steam but it would only by connecting via air link and not virtual desktop
I'm not sure what a .ply file or gracia is, but I'd sure like to know more.

@jason002YT that's awesome. Can't wait to try it. Thanks very much. Wonder what the hiccup with VD was.
@@bringhurstvr no idea why VD didn't work, but it would not display anything, so I don't know
I love my headset, but I get pains in my forhead. Is ther a solution for this?
What strap do you have with the headset
@@ravnOne65 yeah, what he said ☝️. Need to know that before anything else.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. I have an iPad from 2016 and it doesn't work on that either.

Doesn't have a Lidar, or the phone doesn't have the ability to do so
wow.
Aww Cute boys!!!
Use unity to import the OBJ and use the XR Plugin for VR to see them natively on your headset on the go with no internet.
