Amazing video, but you seem to ba part of a common misconception according to my data science teacher at uni. In programming if you strip down the concept of AI to its roots, it's having a program that uses a model to analyse data (and then react to it if nessesary). Bots are a kind of fixed model, where the programmer had to think of the situations to program in (aka teach) the AI how to react. The model doesn't have to self improved to be AI, it's just that the spectrum of AI is quite large.
Here's something you might not know that'll probably blow your mind, Open AI 5 has been purposely limited, it's not actually nearly as powerful as it could be. Basically, Open AI is limited to "human potential", or, "human reflexes", it can't for example, click or move the mouse any faster than what is considered possible by humans, it can't communicate with the other AI's faster than a human would, it can't react to another players movement faster than a human would, its basically as good as a group of humans could be if they lived long enough to gain as much experience with the game as the AI has, but that's not what its actually capable of, if completely unrestricted, Open AI would be literally impossible to beat, imagine being able to communicate without speaking, without anyone talking over each other, just instantaneously knowing what your team mates are doing and what they are about to do, imagine god like reflexes, literally always getting the last hit on a mob because the AI's timing is in the extremely low milliseconds, being able to click with single pixel accuracy anywhere on the screen just as fast. Probably not the best explanation, but I think people will get the idea, Open AI can think and act FAR faster than we can, hundreds of times faster, it's currently not doing that though, its literally beating 99.8% of DOTA players JUST with better strategy.
I think you missed the massive physiological effects letting people rely on AI rather than them working up the courage to reach out to other humans and people. I could easily see a group like facebook abusing something like this.
I'm glad to hear Project Malmö mentioned. I was quite excited for it a few years ago when it was announced, but then it pretty much disappeared from the internet, to the point that it was hard to even find information about it.
Instead of a buddy AI i imagine an enemy. He also needs to keep up with resources and everything but he want's to kill you. maybe he even tries to grief you with traps and stuff like that. I think this could add a whole new experience to the game ^^
I love how I know alot about AI all because of this one video I saw last year. I forgot the channel, but it was this cube that had to go through multiple levels, and it had to keep repeating the level and slowly it would make progress till it beat the level. Make a mistake, it would restart and try to find another way around. (It was kinda like at 8:01) That one video alone makes me understand this video so well, I'm happy
Imagine, There are new breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence, they are almost the same thoughts as people. And we trap them in a minecraft world, thinks that what they are seeing is the True Reality. And then we Spectating them in the The Minecraft Worls, what will them do the world. (And.... what about *this* world we live in? Is this The True Reality? Are we been Spectating? Oh sorry i'm overthinking.)
The greatest thing AI could contribute to Minecraft is through Adventure maps. Just imagine being able to play an adventure like Shadows of Israphel, where every one of the characters you come across are actually AI that are capable of responding to you and pushing the story forward.
A faction of 50+ Ai with all the achievements would be the scariest thing in the world. Imagine they could just build an Obsidian Fortress and completely occupy it 24/7 with guards, water, regenwalls, etc. It would definitely be fun to see ngl. IT would be even funnier to see them break into another base.
10:39 How does the baritone detection work? Does it detect some sort of special data, or does it use a copy of baritone to generate what baritone would do?
There should be a mechanic in minecraft that lets you be able to spawn a decoy of yourself and the game keeps track of how good you are at a survival world, with secret stats, and how good that bot is depends on those stats. It would also have very low health
In case anybody's subconsciously thinking OpenAI are good people because they made a fancy AI, they created a super powerful text generator called GPT-3. They then stopped being an open-source organisation and you need an account, then wait for around a half a year to be accepted, and then be able to use it a little and then you have to pay. I didn't even know an open source company could stop being one.
It would be cool if they trained AIs in different things like regular MC or bedwars to beat the game asap, getting faster and faster so we can see the best strategies that they come up with
When there are ai accounts on servers, there could also be AIs trained to detect them. There is a similar AI that is trained to break image recognition AIs by changing only a single pixel in the image but still manages to complete confuse them. This can, and likely will, become an AI arms race at some point.
I feel like if baritone could work with an ai to control baritone's steps to achieve a goal, as well as have cleverbot manage a chat then you could have a full minecraft player at least
And then there's FitMC where somebody in 2b2t made a change in Baritone so that Baritone accounts can PVP, End Crystal PVP, escape spawn, and call different baritone accounts to help them PVP. Looks like 2b2t is going to be the new AI testing ground, as an AI tester said: While AI's on different servers and greeted more friendly, the Ai's on 2b2t can learn how to survive, mainly because they can't get diamonds by someone giving it to them, more likely they'll be killed. So AI's can learn how to get out of the difficult spawn terrain of the anarchy server, and have a better chance to learn to survive from the hostile envoroment.
Damn, imagine how horrifying it must be for the mobs to recognize the Steve in their world are like themselves, maybe even an AI Steve could find a way to possibly utilize mobs for farming one another in multiple chunks.
If AI was also developed to detect other AI, then we could keep up in preventing the rapid overtaking of servers by superhuman players. There would be an arms race.
Ik a while back there was an ai based aim assist for call of duty and after 5 days the developers got a cease and desist letter from activision presumably because of how good it was and undetectable it was since it would run on another machine and the movement would look natural as it was trained on human movement.
You can also use A.I. for world generation. Imagine a world like our own, with things like natural wonders, actual living and expanding villages, herds of cattle, zombies groups and waves, etc... The possibilities are endless A.I. will *always* be good, the rest will depend on how you use it.
the OpenAI Dota project had several restrictions on what it and its player challengers could/couldn't do - illusions (and iirc most summons), smoke (an item that lets you become undetectable) and wards (provides vision on the map) were banned afaik, and the hero pool was restricted. So while the AI was super impressive they didn't get it to fully understand all the mechanics of the game
the reason for many of these restrictions (such as the restrictions on multiple unit heroes/items), would be because the AI would be far too strong with it. And yes, while the AI still doesn't understand all the mechanics of the game, back in 2016 it could only do shadow fiend mid 1v1's so it has already come quite far
You remember those .io multiplayer browser games that used AI bots when there weren't enough players online, and people could be fooled into thinking they were real? What if there was a Minecraft server in the future with 100 random bots playing alongside normal players, doing all sorts of things that normal players would? Perhaps even communicating in chat naturally... that would be a real feat of machine learning
I just want to see a group of AI minecrafters... living, for a lack of terms- Buildings settlements, making groups, fighting opposing groups... trading- things like that... Basically like a factions server- but with AI... In a way, I'd imagine them "creating" their own rules and standards of communicating between each other to fullfill the need to survive in the land they are in- It would be a pretty decent simplified simulation of reality, if you can call it that.
simple solution to cut off baritone mining: just set up an anti xray plugin which sends to the client packets that its a lot of ore underground, so baritone will be really confused, and even xray wouldnt help.
We already didn't have to play the games anymore with RUclips being a thing. Now we can actually "play" the game and just sit there watching an AI do it for us and be like "Yeah completed it mate" XD
I don't know much about AI creation but I think giving it a log file,or Virtual memory, to log and refer to would be beneficial. Like we as players remember where stuff is the AI would print to the log file the coords for iron, for example, where it seen it before and when it needs more it would search the log file aka it's memory, and go to the location. I feel using soley the rewards system for the ai would make it see certain tasks need to be done one way and one way only, when there is actually multiple ways to complete a task. Giving it memory and a referral system would be sort of mimicking how we think, like Hey I need to do this or find that so where did I put it or find it or see it last. Or a self learning mechanic like for example learning to auto gather common stuff like iron. It sees that iron is used in a lot of recipes so it auto gathers when it sees it and put it in a chest for later use. Something like that anyway. I suppose I'm just rambling at this point. It make be done like that already I'm not even sure.

0:36 Circuit? Who's Circuit? I know of Curcuit, but who's Circuit?
the moment he said 'imagine you are on a server and u dont even realise you are playing with a player or AI' that horrified me for a sec
hahahaha
Amazing video, but you seem to ba part of a common misconception according to my data science teacher at uni.
In programming if you strip down the concept of AI to its roots, it's having a program that uses a model to analyse data (and then react to it if nessesary).
Bots are a kind of fixed model, where the programmer had to think of the situations to program in (aka teach) the AI how to react.
The model doesn't have to self improved to be AI, it's just that the spectrum of AI is quite large.
there should be a category of AI SPEEDRUNS
which ranks the ai Minecraft speedruns of a (so the codders will also have a competition)
x'D that makes sense
Imagine this being a speedrun challenge to beat the Enderdragon before the AI does
8:12
does this mean i can finally have a buddy in singleplayer? damn bro, where can i get that
Here's something you might not know that'll probably blow your mind, Open AI 5 has been purposely limited, it's not actually nearly as powerful as it could be.
I was quite excited for it a few years ago when it was announced, but then it pretty much disappeared from the internet, to the point that it was hard to even find information about it.
ikr, if it wasn't for the videos on the official minecraft channel, I doubt I would have even heard of it!
Instead of a buddy AI i imagine an enemy. He also needs to keep up with resources and everything but he want's to kill you. maybe he even tries to grief you with traps and stuff like that.
I think this could add a whole new experience to the game ^^
The "maybe create a Herobrine AI" idea opens a rabbit hole in which I'm willing to fall. That would be scary.
it would be so much fun
@@TheMisterEpic massively.
Okay the Herobrine AI idea sounds totally rad
turn your Minecraft into a horror game with a entity that's slowly and sneakily trying to mess with you
I honestly just want to use AI for menial tasks like farming (actual crop farming), mining, etc.. I’d like to make a small village with them.
Someone on youtube made a Dream and a Technoblade AI, that uses waterbucket, breaks blocks, follows players and more. You should check him out
imagine a distant future where an smp with a role-playing Ai that actually can read and respond
I love how I know alot about AI all because of this one video I saw last year.
I forgot the channel, but it was this cube that had to go through multiple levels, and it had to keep repeating the level and slowly it would make progress till it beat the level. Make a mistake, it would restart and try to find another way around. (It was kinda like at 8:01)
That one video alone makes me understand this video so well, I'm happy
What they tell you they’re trying to do: 8:20
What they actually want to do: reach you about your car’s extended warranty.
9:02
Very cool!
Bot: Thank you!
Destroy it
Bot: ......
Me: AI, place 3000 blocks of TNT.
AI: What are you doing, Dave?😅
10:39 How does the baritone detection work? Does it detect some sort of special data, or does it use a copy of baritone to generate what baritone would do?
I would love to see mod that makes mobs harder using AI
There should be a mechanic in minecraft that lets you be able to spawn a decoy of yourself and the game keeps track of how good you are at a survival world, with secret stats, and how good that bot is depends on those stats. It would also have very low health
I think advanced open AI would be great. I would love to see NPCs carrying out complex tasks, even hunting down the player.
I like how it sais "The future of minecraft" when there is no point of a game when someone else plays it for you
In case anybody's subconsciously thinking OpenAI are good people because they made a fancy AI, they created a super powerful text generator called GPT-3.
2025: Minecraft Speedrunner vs AI remach
Damn, imagine how horrifying it must be for the mobs to recognize the Steve in their world are like themselves, maybe even an AI Steve could find a way to possibly utilize mobs for farming one another in multiple chunks.
Imagine having a village with your AI pals and human pals, that would be awesome
If AI was also developed to detect other AI, then we could keep up in preventing the rapid overtaking of servers by superhuman players. There would be an arms race.
Cats: meow
Dogs: woof
9-year-olds: *FIRST FIRST*
11:46 Herobrine AI? hell no, that would be creepy he just fallows you and watches, knowing you every move, just out of sight.
Hope they make it tho
@@dejay100 Mojang: *hiding plans the sneak it into the next Halloween update, behind there back*
Ik a while back there was an ai based aim assist for call of duty and after 5 days the developers got a cease and desist letter from activision presumably because of how good it was and undetectable it was since it would run on another machine and the movement would look natural as it was trained on human movement.
You can also use A.I. for world generation.
Imagine a world like our own, with things like natural wonders, actual living and expanding villages, herds of cattle, zombies groups and waves, etc...
The possibilities are endless
A.I. will *always* be good, the rest will depend on how you use it.
2:47 "AI RUclips channels will take over"
These are what we call sub-bots.
the OpenAI Dota project had several restrictions on what it and its player challengers could/couldn't do - illusions (and iirc most summons), smoke (an item that lets you become undetectable) and wards (provides vision on the map) were banned afaik, and the hero pool was restricted.
*Company of Elon Musk*
Mark Zucerberg :- Al is great
Elon Musk :- It is more dangerous than nukes
Imagine you're an AI forced to play dota 2 for 10,000 years...
bruh if I'm ever making a cake on minecraft out of bordom and some ai steals my cake and eats it I'm throwing my computer
Just lost all my stuff in the nether and discovered your channel by chance. This already looks sick
I just want to see a group of AI minecrafters... living, for a lack of terms-
Buildings settlements, making groups, fighting opposing groups... trading- things like that...
Basically like a factions server- but with AI...
In a way, I'd imagine them "creating" their own rules and standards of communicating between each other to fullfill the need to survive in the land they are in-
It would be a pretty decent simplified simulation of reality, if you can call it that.
AI in minecraft, 3D printers in Warhammer 40,000
simple solution to cut off baritone mining: just set up an anti xray plugin which sends to the client packets that its a lot of ore underground, so baritone will be really confused, and even xray wouldnt help.
Its smarter then that lmao
damn
hollow knight music
a beautiful gem :)
Good tracks
Imagine applying baritone to all mobs in Minecraft. Skeletons would be aimbot again.
Edit: I thought baritone used AI, but I could be wrong.
baritone doesn't use AI. It's a pathfinding bot designed for anarchy servers
We already didn't have to play the games anymore with RUclips being a thing.
Now we can actually "play" the game and just sit there watching an AI do it for us and be like "Yeah completed it mate" XD
I would love to see an A.I. let’s play video games.
It make be done like that already I'm not even sure.
when the world starts burning, "it was probably Minecraft"
This a is very interesting channle. Even though minecraft is a game, you make it educational!
:)
Ayo! I love this channel!
Thanks :)
@@TheMisterEpic i also love this channel :)
I still remember FitMC talking about this thing
Would be nice to have an ai channel where you use your channel mascot as the face of the ai therefore making your mascot the actual youtuber
Themisterepic: is ai the future of Minecraft?
Me a dumbass: the future of warfare for all to be seen
Imagine manhunt with AI hunters, wait it already happened...
But AI speedrunner?
AI Minecraft player can be used to make roleplay instead switching voice or getting someone or some people to say and it will be useful for player with no friends,AI MOBS and other AI
The thing about the dota thing is they would have essentially frame perfect reaction time. Thats a massive advantage in dota
I was the one who came up with the idea for the baritone thing but I was too lazy to code it so I told taco to
I find it kind of funny that the video of a player "cheating" he used wasnt even someone using baritone lol
Finally, a robot Minecraft friend for me.
now I want an AI to beat GTNH for me.
"I know how to play Minecraft"
hmmmm ... does mean "You don't know how to play Minecraft"
