So, the first film was shot on mini-DV cams. THIS FILM WAS SHOT USING iPHONE 15s! :)

I didn't know that's! That's really cool thanks for sharing that. We were actually talking about how interesting the original looked when we were making the thumbnail. It has a grainy quality that is really haunting and we weren't sure how they achieved that until you said that.

Yes but also if you see the rigs and lenses they had those phones hooked up to, it’s pretty misleading to just say it was filmed on an iPhone

@@MojiBeau I've used the Canon XL-1. The same camera model used for 28 Days Later (except for the final scene in 35 mm film and the flashbacks in 8 mm film). What you see in that film is not what you see in the viewfinder of that camera. There is no camera, be it film or digital that allows you to just point and shoot and get the kind of results present in this trailer.
My initial comment was referring to the advancements of the digital camera technology. The sensor on an iPhone 15 Pro Max is very small and thick, heavy camera lenses can hinder how much light and information that sensor has to work with. Even with a much bigger camera, some things like House of the Dragon, for example can look flat, muted and too dark. It's because the ISO on those Arri Alexa cameras are a bit cumbersome. Look at the scene in the 28 Years Later trailer with the soldiers in the dark with their flashlights. The tiny sensor on that tiny camera managed to separate and define the light and shadows in a way that's clearly astounding, and it wasn't the Panavision lenses that did it.
