Love your video of your visit to Kaieteur Falls. I remember taking the trip and freaking out, how small the plane was. Seeing the Falls was a sight to behold but a little nervous getting too close. One of the pluses for Kaieteur Falls, it has been left in it's natural habitat and not commercialised. Hope you enjoy the rest of your adventures in Guyana. Stay Safe.
hello good day how are you I want to talk to you about how you can help me visit guyana why do I see a lot of beautiful parts in guyana answer me please it is very important

It's an incredible waterfall, but at 226 meters, It is not the tallest single drop or free fall waterfall in the world. In fact, this isn't even the tallest by any metric in Guyana. Despite the fact that that Angel isn't the tallest waterfall on earth contrary to widespread and long standing belief, it still harbours the tallest single drop and free falling waterfall on the planet at 807 meters.
@@AlexOuthwaite It's a dubious distinction. How is this quantified? What's the criteria? So it's the tallest in the world with a minimum flow rate of? I suspect this is a case of local government and tourism claiming their waterfall is the X in the world - a phenomenon seen countless times. I really think, in terms of natural earth, waterfalls are amongst the most incomplete and misinformed topics when it comes to correct heights, etc. Take Angel for example. Long cited as being 979m tall but my research has concluded it to be an impossibility. Ever try to get topo maps out of Venezuela? Regardless, Kaieteur is impressive to say the least and the second highest rated waterfall in the world on our site (rating system takes height, volume primarily into account).
@@AlexOuthwaite somewhat. niagra has way more water flowing over it and it is a single drop. Kaieteur has a spectacular height and a large amount of water flowing over it. but in both those separate categories it does not rank in the top 10. its has a nice combination of the 2 dimensions. but in no way is it the largest by volume or height.
I left Guyana as a child 30 years ago for the US. I really should go back someday soon for a visit.
Beautiful ♥️ falls 😄 nice scenery enjoying fr jamaica 🇯🇲🏖️😎🌞
Been there once, gave me chills.
This looks incredible! I'm inspired to travel to Guyana. :)
It was honestly one of my most memorable trips. With so few visitors each year it still feels largely unexplored!

Venezuela water falls is the longest my dear
Beautiful place... Sad, places such as these are dying slowly but surely..
That's not true about Guyana's rainforest..it's one of the most untouched places in the world
@@matthewdoliveira9421 please reread.. My comment reads: "Places such as these." It did not read, "This place."
@@Kiss__Kiss such as is also an inclusive phrase...your statement could easily be misinterpreted to be including this place

But Amerindians told me "kaie" means high and "teur" means water so it's high water falls. They laff at me when I told them that tour guide story
Perhaps nobody quite knows haha

We were told it isn't about height...it has the largest single drop record by volume of water flowing over it. Apparently

its not the longest single drop. im guyanese. they lied to you. its not the longest single drop in guyana
