- Two Days after breaking the World Record; Ryan Crouser is teaching a young thrower at local high school with cousin Sam Crouser.
70 feet while carrying on a full conversation? WOW !!
What is the secret to Ryan's success ?
"I throw with only 60% effort, line it up, no effort, get body ahead of the ball"
Just started throws and been watching these pros to get an understanding of their technique. Absolute legends
First thing.... Gain about 80 pounds.
And 10 inches
And add 200 pounds to your snatch.
Haha. He threw very very far as a skinny kid in high school...national high school record
@@70footerRyan definitely isn’t fat, but skinny is not the word Id use to describe highschool Ryan Crouser haha
In HS Ryan looked lean at 260lbs because hes like 6'7
Ryan just makes it look so smooth. The many hours of practice have resulted in muscle memory to move like that so he can turn on the juice and explode.
Imagine throwing 21.30 ish with a static drop in. Mans a beast.
This day was fun. We did about 60 throws until I figured it out.
Looks like home! Proud to have the Crouser roots in Gresham!
I want to be as skilled and as strong as him when I become an Olympian for track and field
LMAOOOOO LIKE WTF MAN ABSOLUTE LEGEND IN THE MAKING
I feel lucky to be alive at the same time as King Crowser.
The size and strength also help.
I think that is Gresham High school. That is where his uncle Dan Crouser taught me to throw in 1987 at the Crouser Throwing camp. His uncle was Duck and an Olympian. I increased my throw by like 10 feet after than camp within a month. I still hold my high schools shot record. I only threw it one year.
Hope he can preserve his state, and do some crazy shots in Tokyo, like 23.50m NEW WORLD RECORD.
Good prediction! He just threw 23.56!
23.98
Gresham high school baby

Yeah buddy, coaching at my old high school. Wish I would have known they were there! Would have loved to see my old team mate, Sam, again.
I went to ghs
Is there anything more boring?
Yeah, you
This shit is deep! I love the dedication it takes and then the realization that comes through hard work 😓 and that is why it seems so easy to him now!!! Damn it’s sweet
