A big part of dating in the 80s started in the workplace. It was normal to flirt and ask out coworkers on the clock. There wasn't this big taboo like now. Sometimes this was unwanted attention, but 90% of the time, men and women knew the rules and weren't freaked out if someone hit on them at work. And it definitely wasn't all guys hitting on the girls. I had girls put their hand on my leg or pinch my butt at work in some of my high school and college jobs.
All true. Those were the best days. And talking on the phone meant spending hours talking to "your girl" after meeting her. The longer you talked, the better the chances were it could work out. Also, to this day, I've always been a fan of the dating bases after meeting a girl (1st, 2nd, 3rd... home run). Some drunken moments may have lead to one night stands but the slow bases were ALWAYS better.
Holy sh!t, that's crazy. I was just talking to some coworkers literally today about my old '80s "blind dares" on the CB radio. They mostly worked out pretty good but I was definitely freaked out about it the first couple times.
As a teen working at Walmart back in the 80s was awesome. Myself and several schoolmates were in the DECA program which allowed us to receive credit for having a part-time job. Some of the schoolmates were the in-crowd girls and their friends would often stop by and visit. Along with that were their older siblings like their sisters working part time while attending the local community college. It was like a social hub to which we can meet new friends and hook up with people. Fri and Sat nights was the best bcuz the parking lot was the hang out where we would just park, show off our rides mingle and make out. The cool thing about it was next door was McDonalds, Sonics and Taco Bell, other places our schoolmates worked at so you can imagine the social interaction Man im missing the 80s 😑😐😒😮💨😔
Having to plan out what you'd say to your girl crush for an hour before you actually called her on the phone to ask her out. You wanted to sound interested but not eager. Confident but not cocky. Oh, I remember.
In the 80s when a woman gave you her phone number there was probably 80 % chance that this would turn into a first or another date.Flaking was rare.Nowadays there is 80% chance that it will NOT turn into a date. When a guy gets 10 phone numbers (on the streets, clubs, onlinedating..etc) probably only 2 of them will turn into date. Its because women have too many options since the internet. They dont have so much time to meet a dozen guys. Therefore women are more and more damaged.
Did I miss something????

The Millennials today handle that dating? Sir, the oldest Millennials are 44, and even the youngest of them are approaching their 30s.
I never waited five dates to kiss a guy. Sounds like he is talking about the fifties.
