That process was so much better for the stallion no kicking or anything else from the mare. He is gorgeous stallion good choice Yvonne for Uniek. I hope she has another foal I’m so excited. Thank you for sharing this awesome video as usual.
I appreciate Yvonne including us in the “behind the scenes” process of breeding. I found it to be very interesting and educational. These are God’s beautiful creatures. A gift to us. It is our responsibility to care for them and treat them respectfully. As amazing and intelligent as they are they are still animals. Not human with human emotions. I think some of the viewers need to remember this.
You're so right - it was very generous of Yvonne to share this process with us. She always is generous with her viewers, and it makes me very glad to be a subscriber.
Yvonne, your explanation about why you don’t allow the stallion to mount the mare is so true. I volunteer at a horse rescue here in USA. We lease property from a local farmer where we keep our horses at . Last summer his stallion (who was there only temporarily) broke out of his stall and mounted a mare from the rescue who was in the outside paddock. That incident occurred later in the day when everyone had gone home. When it was realized that he was out , we investigated and noticed that this mare had big wounds on both of her sides indicative of his mounting her. Luckily she did not get pregnant but it was soon after we realized that she had suddenly gone blind. When our vet came out to assess her she felt the blindness was caused by some trauma. That incident with the stallion was the only recent trauma she had had. She is such a sweet horse and has done well afterwards with interventions by the founder of the rescue & now she is able to freely move about in the outside paddock & arena with the more senior horses.
Wow this is exciting! What a good choice you made - Fonger is a magnificent man, an absolute gem imo! Remember: he is the father of Marije and, not to forget, Sylke Faya! One thing is not fair of course: Yvonne, you know and we don't... 😍😍😍
So funny, Fonger looks like a male Uniek and also seems to have the chilled temperament. No wonder he seems to be the perfect fit 😊 Good luck that everything will turn out well 🍀
That's was very interesting 💖 If someone wants to question why they don't let nature take its course? Well in nature it's not expected for a mare to mate with a stallion she doesn't know. It would be the leader of her own herd. The horses might not even like each other and they could be seriously hurt. This is the safest
I watched a video here on RUclips where they tried breeding a pair of horses the natural way. Unfortunately, the owners were not very experienced AND the guy handling the stallion was full of bravado as if he were an old pro and knew it all. In other words - he was incredibly careless. They had a halter on the stallion with a very tight lead. When they took him in the corral with the mare - the handlers missed the obvious cues from her that she wasn't receptive to this particular stallion. The guy went in with the stallion holding that very tight lead. The mare kicked out without holding back - she meant business. Had the stallion been free of that tight lead, he would have thrown his head up high and avoided her hooves. She landed her hooves square in the middle of his forehead, and he dropped dead. That stallion was beautiful - I forget the breed, but he was just stunning. His conformation could not be surpassed (much like Fonger in this video). It made me angry that people with big egos and little experience decide they need no advice or guidance. and the animal ends up paying the price! So - it is obvious that these Friesians are under expert and compassionate care - and their safety comes first!
It would be great, if the Queen would be pregnant with a little prince or princess. But if not, don't be sad, Yvonne, then there is a good reason for it. She survived a very hard birth last year... we all remember it very good. So hopefully she's pregnant, and hopefully she will give birth to a healthy foal next year. We are all with you from afar, praying for good luck and health for mother and foal❣
Maybe it's now getting a bit embarrassing for me - too late I saw, that the video was already made in August. Didn't Yvonne say in a later video, that Uniek isn't pregnant? 🙈 I am not sure...

Well, that was fun...I learn so much on this channel, such a beautiful stallion doing his duty for the cause...and that Rising Star, so demanding and growing fast...lol...
Every time I see a Frisian stallion I am always impressed by their temperament and behaviour. It really speaks for the breeds overall temperament.
What a calm and sweet stallion, just comparing him with Johnny is such a difference 🤣🤣🤣 If it was successful there will be a very good natured foal 🐴❤️
I like your comment. Here's hoping you're right 🐎🐎🐎🌹🌹🌹☺️🇺🇲
Johnny needs a phantom mare released some of that Bent up frustration.
“How relaxed Friesian horses are.” Now give that guy a bowl of pellets and a dram of water and we won’t hear a peep out of him till tomorrow ! 😂
LOL AND THE EQUINE EQUIVALENT OF A GOOD CIGAR - MAYBE A REALLY BIG 🥕CARROT, LOL!!
@@lindatruax8319 I was so thinking that! 😂😂😂
@@scrapykat3028 RIGHT, TOO FUNNY!!!
LOL. Best comment award to you!!!
Saddle up!! As they say. Lol
Wow! That was interesting and educational for those of us that just was taught how it's done. Hopefully, Uniek will be expecting a little one soon. Rising Star sure missed his Mommy. He wanted milk, lol. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So cool! I hope it works and Uniek can have one more baby!! But Risy loves her sooo much. They are truly the best story ever 🥰
I can still remember when my own chestnut horse used to nurse off his black mama. These two look so much like them. Gorgeous stallion too. Hope she gets a live baby next year.
The stallion that you picked for Uniek was absolutely gorgeous and so sweet. I hope everything goes well and come May, there’ll be a sweet baby. Uniek produces a lot of milk. RS can’t get enough of her milk. Kisses to Uniek and Risy.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing this incredible experience with us!!♡♡
Very interesting. Two beautiful horses and Risey too. If Uniek gets pregnant the baby will be very beautiful and extremely relaxed!! ♥️♥️♥️
What a lovely character that stallion has, very calm even for this kind of job, that's exactly the kind of temperament you want a stallion to have.
Such a beautiful calm Stallion 🐎. Such a good match for the Queen. RS was so happy his Mommy was back. That hour must’ve seemed like an eternity to him. Can’t wait to see the new baby. How long is their gestation period ? If she takes when will the baby be do? 🙏🏽🐎❌⭕️😇
What a beautiful stallion. I pray that Queen Uniek gets pregnant and has a beautiful healthy foal. 🐴🤞🙏
Fonger is a stunning Stallion !!! Very interesting to see how the procedure goes !
Valorie....
Good advice!!! Lisa 🌏🇦🇺🐨
I agree a 110%. I feel a lot a respect and love goes into every sung horse. I am moved deeply.thank you for sharing this.
You're so right - it was very generous of Yvonne to share this process with us. She always is generous with her viewers, and it makes me very glad to be a subscriber.
👍👍🙋
@@dionlindsay2 gosh. So true Dion! Thank you!
I imagine humans mounted like that 5000 years ago. And occasionally and sadly nowadays
Fonger is such a handsome stallion! He and Uniek are a good match! Praying she will be in foal and have a gorgeous filly or colt come spring! ❤️
Both stallion & mare have excellent temperaments. Friesian horses are the best! 💙❤️
Wow this is exciting! What a good choice you made - Fonger is a magnificent man, an absolute gem imo! Remember: he is the father of Marije and, not to forget, Sylke Faya! One thing is not fair of course: Yvonne, you know and we don't... 😍😍😍
I still miss Sylke Faya. I loved to see that foal run. She was so fast.
@@dianebannister4591 So do I...
Fingers crossed for Uniek! That stallion is so handsome!!
💕 Uniek and Rising Star
A gorgeous stallion! Looks like a long mane! Uniek takes a day trip and hopefully comes home with a souvenir!
😆 maybe the next foal should be named Uniek’s Souvenir!!😆
Goed zo .. you are so creative in thought.. love the answers and questions on Friesian Horses!! ❤️💗
@@franceshale584 love this suggestion….Souvenir! Male or female. U rock Francis…..
...a Fonger souvenir.....👌🥇😊💕
RS was happy to see momma….he missed her! Fingers crossed XX😊
So funny, Fonger looks like a male Uniek and also seems to have the chilled temperament. No wonder he seems to be the perfect fit 😊 Good luck that everything will turn out well 🍀
Uniek is such a Beautiful Mom💗So interesting how they are inseminated
Rising Star is so amazing 🤩 you all are STARS 🌟
Es simple... Seguridad y $$$
Very interesting video! Poor Rising Star was just starving away lol. Hoping that it takes for Uniek and she can be in foal soon!
Fonger is a true beauty and so calm (also funny 1:06 ) i agree that he looks to be the perfect match for Uniek ^^ I do hope it works
I’m hoping the best for Uniek! Beautiful kind girl!
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖
It would be great, if the Queen would be pregnant with a little prince or princess. But if not, don't be sad, Yvonne, then there is a good reason for it. She survived a very hard birth last year... we all remember it very good. So hopefully she's pregnant, and hopefully she will give birth to a healthy foal next year. We are all with you from afar, praying for good luck and health for mother and foal❣
👍👏🙋
🙏🙏🙏❤️❣️
Maybe it's now getting a bit embarrassing for me - too late I saw, that the video was already made in August. Didn't Yvonne say in a later video, that Uniek isn't pregnant? 🙈 I am not sure...
Wow I checked the date on the video which was August so that means the attempts in June and July were not successful. Hope the live insemination did the trick. That was interesting to see the stallion side of AI.
Of course I heard Risey soon as you got close to the stable, even in August still a momma's boy.
Thank you for sharing such an interesting video.
Awe, rising star is still such a cute baby 🐴
Ok👍education time🥰he is beautiful but my heart belongs to King Sjors 😂😂
I'm already taken with the way Fonger fiddles with the chain in his mouth! What a character! xD
Thank you so much for sharing with us. Let’s hope it works this time, the goal will be so gorgeous with such beautiful parents. X
Yvonne, that was really interesting. Fronger is a very handsome stallion. Crossing my fingers for you.
So sorry that the foal was lost, Fonger is good looking and his disposition is wonderful!! 😢❤❤
Very interesting! I’ve been getting quite an equestrian education since watching your channel! Little Risy still needs his mama and how sweet is that!? Watching from San Francisco Bay Area in California!
Thank you for showing us these miracles of life. It is wondrous! Thank you for all the time and thought and effort you put into these videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! Very best wishes to all at your beautiful place!
Another informative and GREAT video- Thanks Yvonne! Sending good wishes for Uniek to become pregnant!!!
Very interesting process! Both Fonger and Uniek were so calm and relaxed. Rising Star was certainly happy that the milk bar had returned home. He's always so thirsty!
You mean Rising Star? 🤔
@@akiriith Thanks, Annie Lynch, I'll fix it.🙈

Fonger is an amazing beautiful stallion . Him and Unique are a beautiful couple. I hope the Queen has a healthy foal .
WOW, that was so neat to see! Please don't keep us in suspense for too long Yvonne! I remember seeing Fonger in that big show video you made when the Stallion retired! What a beautiful boy! Lets cross our fingers everything takes, she certainly got a good dose of the good stuff!! Can not wait to find out! xoxo
