@@kookietherapy9398 She'll accept it when he's old enough. Seriously, it's adorable how they've taken to each other - she's truly accepted him as her own, and vice versa. But don't ruin it by projecting human emotions too much on animals. It's natural for young males to leave the herd to create their own when they're old enough. Once the colt is old enough to be independent, she won't dote on him so much, or be heartbroken when he leaves. Watch a mother dog doting on her newborn puppies. Keeping them close, nursing and licking them, utterly devoted. But by 6-8 weeks, she's usually worn out, annoyed when they try to nurse, sick of being nipped, chewed on and jumped on, and ready for them to be grown! It's a part of nature for young (in most species) to leave their parents when they're old enough to begin their own lives. It's natural for them to be so close and nurturing with a newborn (although unusual here since she adopted him) then to gradually reduce that close attention and encourage independence in their young, even drive them away from home in some species when old enough (lions do this). Don't ignore natural processes and project heartbreak onto animals for your sentimentality. That's unfair to the people and the horses involved here.

The little one also knew that this wasn’t his mother when he first arrived, but his instinct was to nurse..I’m sure by now he was completely forgotten that anyone other than the Queen was his Mum..the bond between them is just beautiful to see.
Rising Star’s owners must be so happy with how well Uniek is caring for their little foal. Uniek is an amazing horse - once in a lifetime mare. Somehow she knew that Rising Star was at the barn for her. She was so excited to meet him - and now the little guy is putting on weight and doing really well . Wonderful 🐴❤️🐴❤️
That’s really well said.
They will need to find a way to keep them together, seriously. I believe her heart would be forever broken if they were separated. Rising Star is her heart and soul now.
Uniek is like: „Yeah, I know...he’s red! It happened while I wasn’t around him. Stop staring at him.“
The other horses be shocked that he's a ginger xD
Horses his color are called sorrel. Some of them shine like a new copper penny in the sun.
@@littledikkins2 I‘m not sure if Uniek knows what English speaking humans call them. In German we call the color „Fuchs“, meaning „fox“.
I simply wanted to point out, that everybody around seems to be black, when she first saw her foal it looked black, then it vanished, came back in red, only to stick out like a sore thumb now.
@@petersiliekrause2203 It is the color of a red fox, and I doubt if the horses much care. That mare is a magnificent animal, I hope her next foal is born easily and very healthy.
@@toolatetothestory- at times I get the feeling that Uniek thinks she is showing off that she has a special baby that the other horses don't have. LOL
Baby Risey and Belle Uniek.......just priceless! How ADORABLE is he! AND, How BEAUTIFUL she looks. It's so sad what happened to her. She loved little Risey. She was a great surrogate mom❤❤❤❤
I love how she guides him along with little nuzzles, as if checking in and giving encouragement. She's such an attentive mother, and baby is thriving.
Not sure how I started watching these videos but now I can’t get enough. Your horses are beautiful.
Me too! I’m hooked!!
@Kathy Olney Can't agree more !
I miss Barney too :( (though he wasn't one of the lovely horses 💗)
Just came on my feed, subscribed. How did they know Freisan horses are my favorite. First time I saw one in the flesh I was in love. ❤ Norwegian ancestry must be in my DNA.
@@horselover7744 He is missed because he was one of the family.
Sameeee lol
It's wonderful watching him discover how powerful and awesome his legs are. "Just look at me Go, Ma.!" 💗
he runs so happy I 💙itt mumz& baby stallion
He was so excited, like he knew she's gotta get that fluid out of her belly. Chase me mommy! It reminded me of the movie Bambi, when his momma took him to the meadow the first time❣
@@maritzacaruth9283 Where do you think they drew inspiration from for the animation? Deer aren't exactly on demand, yet horses are everywhere and a decent substitute for walk cycles and motion and such.
@@Undomaranel to the contrary, Walt & Roy Disney actually Did bring deer to the studios to aid the artists depiction in Bambi. I have footage of this on my Bambi Collector's Edition. Your condescending tone is inaccurate, rude & not welcome here. Have yourself a better day though. ✌
Falling in love with Risey all over again. 💞
Me too! Every single time ❤❤
She is so protective of him. I've seen many many mares not nearly as careful. She follows him so closely.
She understands she got a second chance unconditional.
How lovely.
She's thinking, 'I lost you once, I'm not loosing you again!'
"My baby is different because he's the best foal" -Uniek, probably
🤣👌
@Brendan Fraser vs The Truth It's only a joke. About how (rightfully) proud mothers are of their own babies.
It's interesting how close Rising Star stays to Uniek, compared to the other foals who - on their first time in the arena - tend to run off almost immediately, leaving mem to follow after them. It's like Rising Star has some memory of mama not always being there.
or maybe he is a little insecure to the fact that was without a mother for 24 hours & unlike stomach haven't recuperate as nice as the other mares. It was a traumatizing birth. Such miracle for the two to get together ...
I noticed the same thing. Similarly how VERY protective Uniek is. She keeps herself between Rising Star and the other horses like glue...almost afraid that he'll become lost somehow
Uniek is looks like a mum who'd stomp a person into the ground like a peg with her feet. To her RS is her baby and nobody can him.
It's amazing to see Rising Star galloping for the first time!
I am soooo invested in Uniek and rising star’s story, please don’t stop posting updates!
I so agree. First thing I do when I turn my computer on is go to youtube, look for Friesian Horse videos and then look for Uniek and Rising Star. I apologize to all you other Friesian horses, and Johnny, I look for you also.
Yes..please post more follow up's
This is so beautiful! They’re a match made in heaven.
I fell in love with Uniek- the way she pranced when Rising Star was brought to her just made my heart melt
Agree! I’ll never forget that.👌🥳🎉
I agree it was beautiful. Keep going back to watch it.
Mine too
That was so adorable.
Made my heart so happy to see her do that!🥰
If anyone had any doubts before about Uniek accepting RS you can be rest assured they've accepted each other now because he's staying close to mommy and she won't let him out of her sight, this is amazing.
So good to be able to look back on how small Risey was. How sweet they were together!
Mama Uniek is _literally_ spinning in circles every time Rising Star starts running 🤣 _very protective_ & not taking her eyes off of her baby 🥰 I bet she's tired at the end of the night!!
Ki ki nm
Wow she won‘t let him out of her sight. Amazing how protective she is.
Such a miracle to watch. She doesn’t take her eyes off of him. That maternal instinct is so strong
Nice to see her dedication!
K❤❤ no❤jkl😂😂ii. Kjh6 ujhgg🎉u
Our precious little Risey! Please be healed!! Please stay with us! ❤
Uniek is oh so very happy and a proud mom.
I notice she is not “slouching” (depressed in English) and RS is like ... “yea this is my mom... I love her so much!” This is just so moving ... thank you for sharing all of this Yvonne, we all know you have a lot to do and this takes a lot of your time ... just know you are loved and appreciated very very much!
Your comment was in my heart too.
We use slouching in English as well btw but yeah she seems to be very happy
I love how Rising Star wanted so badly to run around but wouldn’t dare go more than a few feet away from Mom….🥹
I want to believe she really thinks that is her baby. The one she gave birth to. And him the same. I love this worked out beautifully.
I don't think that's the case...but still wonderful how they felt in love
I believe the same think. She wanted the second she saw him.
@@angelabaan6984 you don’t think what’s the case?
@@xx_rare_xx1146 I don’t think she thinks that’s Star either. But her need to nurture a foal is being met, thankfully.
@@xx_rare_xx1146 like, I don't think Unike beliefs Rising Star is her bio baby. What I believe is that they accepted each other - and that's enough and beautiful ❤️
I like how the colt stop to look at things tbat interest him, but makes sure hes not more than a step or two from mama ! Very sweet to watch .
I had to come back and watch our little prince...boy his mom is so good, she sticks to him and him to her like glue..LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the video. Continued prayers for you both.
RS was so shy and sticking close to her side going out. But a few minutes in the wide world, he was able to confidently walk in like he owns the place. Little Prince of the stable.😁
She is so Proud to have him as her own. Her stance as he nurses, is absolutely stunning. You have gorgeous Horses!!
I love how she is like
"Look at my son! Look how awsome he is!" To the other horses 😁
It’s a beautiful miracle that they were ready and available for each other.
Yes. 💖💕
Right! GOD watching over HIS beloved creatures!
I have never seen a mother and baby so in sync with their movements and their posing. Rising Star stays so close to Uniek unlike the other Friesian babies did when they were out of the stall for the first time. Their bond is so strong. Uniek is not just an amazing mother but truly a unique and once in a lifetime horse.
And for Uniek to adopt Rising Star after losing her foal, is testament to the love and devotion of the people involved in that. He is just gorgeous and Uniek is a proud mum.
I think Uniek kicked the "adopted" label to the kerb the minute she saw him, that was her son and no one is gonna tell her any different ❤❤
Uniek is like...keep away he's mine! lol. And then she is schooling him...THIS is a proper trot for a Friesian!! Too cute...he will learn lol. Whether anyone wants him to or not lol
Uniek was such a good mum; she never let Risey venture far. ❤😍
Thanks so much for explaining about the fluid in Uniek's abdomen. I don't really know anything about horses (other than that I love to watch yours!), but I had noticed that her abdomen continued to be distended and I was worried there was something really wrong because I don't remember seeing that in any of your other mares after they gave birth. I'm so relieved that you said the fluid has cleared up since the making of this video. Thanks for all the information you share us as well as getting to see these wonderful horses!
It’s fun watching RS discover running & kicking! He even got Uniek to gallop a bit. I’m so happy they’re doing great.💞
Baby's like "I wanna run. But mom, mom oh there you are.
Queen Uniek is one of a kind. What a beautiful mare. I'm so happy she and Risey found each other. 👑💫♥
I can almost hear Uniek say “ be careful now” when Rising Star starts running off! 😊❤️❤️❤️
I just think it’s amazing that this little foal is SO attached to his “mom”. 🥰. And Uniek really doesn’t leave him out of her sight for a moment. 🥰
Out of difficulty comes the forge of a bond between the horses and the people as well
Watching Rising Star galloping just made my day.
These two started my journey with Friesian Horses…❤️💙❤️💙👑💫‼️
I will never forget this day as long as I live! The Union of Uniek and Rising Star JK was miraculous! A match made by God! Just lovely!❤️🥰💜🥰❤️🥰💜🥰❤️🥰💜
Mine too ❤
It is absolutely beautiful how Uniek has adopted the foal without hesitation.
I sensed she was a very proud mama walking through the stable with her baby
I love how animals don't even care. He's a different color, yeah, but all she sees is her baby ❤❤
Funny bc horses can see some colors just not as much like us for example they can’t see red lol.
I think most humans are that way,its the media who isnt.
@@PennelopeWhitmore the media don't create the laws or the policies and procedures like NFL's "race norming"

Most people don’t really care about color, either. It’s just blown out of proportion nowadays
It’s really cute when he’s charging around and she trots around behind him.
Uniek is use to a crowd to watch her. Now with Rising Star beside her, she makes her presence felt across the Fresian horses family and all line up to pay her the attention she deserves. Rising Star your fitting in well. Congratulations Yvonne and the team.

I have been referring to him as Mr. Three Socks LOL
Ha...good one. You know all that lint you find in the dryer vent screen? I think it's a really a lost sock 😬
The baby has a beautiful gait. And sticks to his mom's side like glue. Absolutely beautiful.

Risey was so smart from a small age. He knew exactly how to follow his mummy!🥰

Rising Star is magnificent, first time out and already doing piaffe, flying changes, turn on the hind quarter and levade! He has beautiful conformation and "presence". He is going to live up to his name very quickly.
I thought his grandfather was the famous Jazz...? I just heard about this, but the baby moves like a highly bred creature.
Rising Star is very brave. No problems walking out or in. He stays close to his mem yet ribs around. Love this video.
He's like Velcro when Uneik is on the move.
Uniek has a constant watchful eye on her son. Rising star 🌟 is joyous and affectionate toward his mum.
I know this happened awhile ago, but this is so sweet! Animals are amazingly resilient. Little Rising Star ✨ has the "zoomies" and it's hilarious 😆! I love how Mama kept after him while he galloped, jumped, and ran those zoomies out of his system.
Lol, I was getting dizzy watching Uniek turn and turn to keep her eye on Rising Star. Very good Mom.💖
The other horses might be saying that Rising Star must take after/look like his father’s side of the family! He couldn’t be any cuter and has the longest legs. It’s good for Uniek to move around by keep up with his movement.
Rising Star is so adorable prancing around for his first time outdoors. Bringing a smile to all of us around the world.
Rising Star is such a beautiful foal, he is a comfort to Uniek and she is his lovely mem!♥🐴♥
