    Among FBS teams, Georgia ranks 9th in all time wins. However, they rank 4th in total wins over the last 50 years. Georgia also ranks second in all time bowl game wins, 11th in total weeks ranked by the AP and have the 10th most NFL draft picks produced. They also have 2 Heisman trophy winners, including, arguably the greatest College Football player in history in Herschel Walker. Finally, they have 4 National Championships and could rightfully claim a fifth (1946) but refuse to. Three of those National Championships have come over the last 50 years. That puts them ahead Blue Blood programs like Ohio State, Texas, Michigan and Notre Dame during this period. The story of College Football could not be fully written without the University of Georgia. They are, without a doubt, a true Blue Blood of College Football. Go Dawgs!!!

      OSU has won 3 in the last 50 years with 4 more unclaimed titles. OSU has played in 5 Natty's since 2002. 41 conference championships to UGA 17 conference championships how does that put UGA ahead of OSU? 8 Natty's to 4🤔🤷🏾‍♂️. UGA is a great program but knock it off.

      @@southeastdaygo6193 OSU has won 2 in the past 50 years, period. I'd love to hear about these unclaimed titles. OSU fans and their delusion. Your last three titles have been in 1970, 2002 and 2014. As far as conference titles, that is simply because you play in the weak Big Ten. It is a conference that historically, has been a two pony show. Add to that the fact that Michigan took about 15 years off this century made it very easy for OSU to win 11 big Ten titles in that span. In the past 50 years, Georgia has more total wins and more National titles than OSU, period. We have also beaten your ass twice in bowl games. Never lost to you as a matter of fact. Nearly every time you play for a championship against the SEC, you lose. The lone outlier occurred in 2014. Every other time, whether it's Florida, LSU, Alabama or the Dawgs, you lose.
      One thing I can say about OSU and their fanbase: If I could buy them for what they are worth and sell them for what they think they are worth, I'd be a rich man.

      @@truedawg1339 Wow cool bs narrative. It doesn't change the fact that OSU has tripled UGA in Natty appearances alone. Never met such an arrogant fan base that until 2018 hasn't really done anything worth talking about. I lived in ATL on and off since 2004 and I saw them lose to Boise St. OSU would never!

      @@southeastdaygo6193 I wouldn't agree with that. In 2012 we played Alabama in the SEC championship game. Whoever won played Notre Dame for the natty. Everyone knew whoever won would beat Notre Dame. I would say that counted, at least indirectly, as playing for the NC. It wasn't as easy to get to the game in the SEC as it was in the weak Big Ten. Besides, playing for ain't the same as winning.

    Georgia has played the most games against LEGACY top 25 teams all time. Has the 3rd most wins against those teams all time and the 7th highest win percentage against.
    The reason this matters is to show that some teams(OSU,USC) actually drop win percentage substantially against those teams, verifying that they have inflated stats against lesser than competition.

      I like a much more exclusionary historical view of what a blue blood is. I think you need to be in the top 10 list for multiple catagories to be considered a blue blood. Those catagories are as follows...... all time wins, all time winning percentage, all time national championship list, how many bowl games have you been too, bowl game record, how many heisman winners have you had, how many weeks you have been in the AP poll, and how many weeks have you been number 1 in the AP poll.............
      that is 8 catagories you need to be top 10 in atleast three of those catagories to be considered a blue blood in my opinion.
      that is my opinion i know people will disagree but if you disagree i challenge you to come up with an OBJECTIVE way to MEASURE what a blue blood is not just "are they in the story of college football?" that is super subjective and while i agree with the sentiment it isn't an accurate way to say who is a blue blood or not.

    Huge dawg fans. Love them to death. UGA isn’t a blue blood 🤷🏽‍♂️ We’re dominating RIGHT NOW. But we don’t have a bunch of championships throughout time. That’s gotta be part of the criteria.

    • @truedawg1339
      @truedawg1339 Месяц назад

      UGA is a Blue Blood. I listed my reasons above. I'm not sure what you're criteria is. Listening to your logic I would have to assume you include Michigan as a Blue Blood. Michigan claims, without much proof, 12 National Championships. Yet 8 of those championships claimed, were before 1935. Before the AP poll even existed. Some of those championships are dubious at best. You also claim Nebraska as a Blue Blood, which they are, but they only have 5 National Championships and three of those were won in the 90s. So I don't believe Nebraska meets your "bunch of championships throughout time" criteria.
      It sounds like you believe that only the five or six teams that were the most dominate before 1940 and Nebraska, count as Blue Bloods to you. That certainly isn't my view. My view is simply this: are they one of the handful of greatest teams over the history of College Football. Georgia is, and they are a Blue Blood.

      @consciousm1nd Месяц назад +1

      @@truedawg1339 that's your opinion... youre more than welcome to have that... I also have mine. I think UGA is a GREAT team right now. I'm a HUGE UGA fan... the facts still remain... we aren't a blue blood. It also doesn't matter if you are a blue blood or not today. Very competitive teams today aren't blue bloods. You're making a ton of speculations based on a few sentences buddy... You seem very passionate about this so good on you... but don't create an argument based on things that weren't said at all... Lets see how UGA stacks up to teams that most consider blue bloods....
      Nebraska does only 5 titles... They also have 46 conference championships, 3 heismans, and is 9th all time in total wins which is all more than UGA claims.
      Michigan is 1st in all time wins, has 45 conference championships, 12 titles, and 3 heismans... ALL MORE THAN UGA
      OSU 3rd all time in wins, 41 conference championships, 8 titles, and 7 heismans... ALL MORE THAN UGA
      Bama 2nd all time in wins, 18 titles, 34 conference championships, and 4 titles... ALL MORE THAN UGA
      ND T-4th in all time wins, 11 titles and 7 heismans... ALL MORE THAN UGA
      Texas T-4th in all time wins, 4 titles, 33 conference championships, and 2 heismans are pretty close to UGA... But 33 conference championships and all time wins record would give them that classification as a blue blood to me.
      Oklahoma 6th in all time wins, 7 titles, 50 conference championships, 7 heismans.... ALL MORE THAN UGA
      Like I said I love UGA! But I also can look at where it stacks up to other programs throughout time and see that we just don't have the same domination as other programs. UGA's 11th all time in wins, 4 titles, 16 conference championships, and 2 heismans are great, but our dominance is pretty new with Kirby coming to town... Even with unclaimed natties we would fall short to other blue bloods. I'd say UGA is comfortably on top as a "New Blood." UGA has been one of the most consistent programs in history... No doubt or argument there... but if we're comparing ourselves to true bonafide blue bloods... we just aren't that.

      @@consciousm1nd Okay, don't say you have your opinion and then say it's a fact. Further, what facts you do present are flawed. Georgia is 9th in all time wins and Nebraska is 8th.among FBS schools. Conference Championships mean nothing unless you consider the conference. Of Oklahomas 50 conference titles 5 were won in the Big Six, 12 in the Big Seven and 16 in the Big Eight. Same with Nebraska and their 12 Missouri Valley Conference titles. That is not the SEC, where the only program that has more titles than Georgia is Alabama.
      Michigan claims, without much proof, 12 National Championships. Yet 8 of those championships claimed, were before 1935. Before the AP poll even existed. Some of those championships are dubious at best. The next two were won before 1950. Even more to the point is the fact that over the last 75 years, Michigan has won 1 National title(2023) and split one in 1998.
      When it comes to both Ohio state and Michigan conference titles, the Big Ten has historically been a two team race. Not so in the SEC.
      Our National Championships are equal to Texas and one below Nebraska. Over the past 50 years we have the 4th best record in CFB and more National Championships than Ohio State, Michigan,, and Notre Dame.
      Lastly, I never claimed those teams weren't Blue Bloods. I just claimed we are as well. This is my opinion. My one step further opinion states your opinion is uneducated, lacks context and is probably that of a Florida fan. Not a fact, just an opinion. See the difference?
