She’s shopping at Erewhon, which is this super hyped local gourmet market and health food chain in L.A.
The place is insanely expensive. On my first and probably only visit, I wasn’t paying attention to the prices and got some pre-prepared hot food (just some ribs and two sides in a paper takeout tray like those at Whole Foods but smaller) off of the bar and a fancy smoothie. Set me back almost $70.
Smoothie was delicious but not worth over $20. Food was good but not worth $48…not including tax. Wild.

Why go to Erewhon three separate times a day, for each meal, instead of buying everything you need in one trip? Or, even better, one trip a week rather than every day?
I work at a grocery store one step below erewhon in regards to pricing and I know quite a few private chefs who make 2-3 trips max per week. The only private chefs I know who come daily are the ones for millionaires and/or sports players. Sports, I get because you need a good diet.
