"It's not your car." Good point. With unlimited funds, you could put a new K member in the car. You could add new control arms. And... you could gold plate everything. The factory parts are fine as long as they're in good shape and the car has never been in a accident.
Great work 1st off. I built my turbo ls SN95 on the tightest ass budget aint no name brand parts, hot wheels, fancy nothing everything I did myself and spent money on tools to do what I couldn't, it took awhile to get it but finally got a used 75$ tube k-member and still have stock a-arms, rack, hubs everything. A'guy chooses to buy high priced expensive parts or not, the deals are there you just got to wait and keep hunting for them
Jegs or tin man fab sells a kit for like 360 it comes with motor mounts trans crossmember all hardware to fit an ls with 4l60 in a 79 to 04 stock k member
The engine is typically higher up than the axle, so gets it pointed in the right direction to reduce the operating angle of the U joints. The LS engine also has front stream port crossover, so helps push any steam pockets to front of engine to remove air pockets from the head.
Hell I bought a k member was very disappointed with fitment and build quality so I just made mounts off my factory k member but I did use 1/2 spacers on the k member so I could drop the engine down to fit a truck intake under the factory hood on a Foxbody.

Yezzir. Easy to get caught by the snowball and not finish.
Even if it was twisted up a bit..it can be good enough...
You sir, are a magician with a cut of wheel, sawzall and a mig welder.

$75 is a good deal.
This makes me feel better about using the stock k-member in my 97 ls swapped mustang. Very nice
Huntertuned was going 8s with stock K in Chevatang.
@@BlaserBuilds I’m still trying to decide go your route or go hunters route with the dirty dingo in my 89 coupe . It does have the 5.0 stock k member.
He'll want to replace the rag joint with a flaming river U joint anyhow. Nice work!
Great low-cost solution to improve the car
Great !greatings from the netherlands
Hellooo there.
Great tips and pics!!! but gotta ask the name of the tune please???
Tracktribe "As you were". Should be listed in description, I pulled it from RUclips library.

Would you say the pinion angle is the same on a fox ??
Same chassis, I would think so.
Looking good

Watching the guy
Looks good. Do you get any vibration with this style of engine mount?
Vibrating from engine rocking or?
Just wondering how they compare to factory ls mounts in regards to isolating engine vibration.
@@bobbieandianguenter6693 These will be more stiff compared to a factory rubber mount. You'll feel some vibration especially with a big cam.
Ok serious question here. Why is the degree of the motor important? I really need to know I’m doing a motor swap myself. Thanks

The one on Banana did not fit well either.
I used those mounts on the 350 Z I work on with my son. They are vibrating sob,s .....but cake
He's going from solid mounted motor plate to this so should improve the vibration.
👍

Happens sometime if you're early while it's processing. Can try again in a few minutes.
