Love these vids! As a Swede, the Gotland guess was quite awful. 😊 However, I think that most pros underrate that region guessing in Sweden as well as Norway.
You were right in the middle of the heartland of Swedish lumber industry. Logs on roadside, straight high-growing trees. And the slightly billowing landscape (which historically helped power the industry with hydropower) should steer you more towards Ångermanland than Medelpad, together with a higher share of pine vs spruce. In fact, the hilliness of coastal Ångermanland is a truly underrated clue. The fact that some of the forest had some broad-leaved trees made coastal areas more likely.
Also, the direction sign was to a place called Forsed which noone would know, but Fors translates to Rapids. This could also be a general area clue for a Swedish speaker.
Fors is not a good clue, there are fors placenames everywhere and the density of them aren't even higher in Ångermanland. The sjö suffixes would be more informative since although they also exist everywhere they are very common in Ångermanland. The fors prefix would not exclude Gotland but the sjö suffix would (not that this is reasonable knowledge). There are 1332 sjö suffixes in Sweden and 178 are in Västernorrland while there are 420 fors prefixes and 25 are in Västernorrland.

Los Lagos is a town in Los Rios. I also saw a sign once and of course sent Los Lagos Region.
Los Rios Region used to be part of Los Lagos region, so I guess that's the reason.

A small tip for France moving : here there was a highway nearby but in rural rounds you generally want to get to the very center of town, where there will almost always be an intersection with distances to nearby hopefully bigger towns, probably Mâcon in this case (contrary to Romania for example where town entrances often have the judetul and are therefore more useful than town centers)
France is the worst and most frustrating country for playing moving, with it road numbering (repeating in every province). The Cities on the signs are mostly small and if you know, you know, but if not, you can do nothing and just click middle.
@@Pucyn619 it also makes it one of the most rewarding countries to learn things, like Philippines for example where if you don’t know provinces you can’t do anything
24:00 You should completely ignore this as I am terrible at the game, but I did call Narvik: If we have water that we can assume is sea level, that loc looks like where it is with the relatively short trees and relatively low snowpeaks (without it being winter). I am probably talking out my ass, but it just looked vaguely Arctic Circle to me. I have been known to go north on high altitude south, but I rarely miss north.
i checked out the cambodia location ~13:00, and there's a really cool waterfall right near (where the season changes), worth a second look
