The general population still doesn’t understand that this is a brain disease. Most see it as just behavioral because they focus on what they see. For instance saying your lazy when what you’re feeling is your deep depression which makes your body feel heavy, everything is overwhelming and sometimes you just can’t get out of bed because you are so numb.

Thank you for this video! I got out of a Psychiatric inpatient facility right as COVID had started here in WA. I walked out of there and entered an entirely different world. My medications were all messed up and I had to do some major med changes. As you said, it was an awful time to do that. They did raise my propranolol and gabapentin which helped and switched me from Cymbalta to Prozac. I'm on the mend but you are so right about the news. Watching it puts me in a tailspin. I'm trying to find more coping skills but it's hard. I'm so glad to know you and appreciate you sharing your heart. PS I love your earrings!

Thanks for watching Sierra. I was praying for you during your inpatient and I hope you're doing well 💗. I feel like there are so many triggers out there for people like us right now. Praying that you and your's stay safe and well. PS they are my current favorite pair 😊.

Oh my I did a med change too! My mood took a turn for the worst but it was a mistake. I do have to say that upping my lamotrigine to 250 mgs really helped. But upping my antidepressant was just too much.
The news especially politics is my big interest but it definitely has taken a toll and I’ve realized that following too closely is like self harm.
As far as self care, I do a lot of yoga and use adult coloring books.

Adult coloring books are such a great idea! I have one but had forgotten about it. Thank you for watching!
