Bhante, with due respect, your 'right view' seems to be just a mundane right view, depending on your knowledge and logic.
Right view of the Noble Eightfold Path, is just as you said, to see things as they really are, not dependent on your accumulated knowledge.
For that to happen, to see things as they really are, one need to be just more awake than one is at that moment, to be more attentive. Without thoughts coming in, then one can see things as they really are, no right view or wrong view. Then, "right thoughts" will arise,ie, wisdom coming from stillness.
So one need to develop the mind to a higher state of awakening. And gradually, becoming fully awaken.
Sorry, that's my understanding and practice.

Personally, I think Bhante did a wonderful job explaining the right view in a nutshell. And to be fair to him, it's not possible to explain the complete right view within the time he has for this talk but I love how he, ever so subtly hinted at impermanence. Sadu Sadu Sadu to Ajahn Bramli.
Regarding the point you made, right thoughts(wisdom) arise from stillness. For that to be true, sir, you must have achieved stream entry and already attained right view in the past. If that is so Sadu Sadu Sadu to you too.
For us ordinary puthujjanas, it is my understanding that right view can only be attained by the study of the sutras, the original word of the Buddha. If wisdom was born of stillness then samadhi would be the first factor of the noble eightfold path. And frankly, if that was the case, looking back at India 2500 years ago, the world would never have produced a Buddha.

Go to the full talk that precedes this q&a. He beautifully covers both mundane and liberative (supramundane) right view. I found it very helpful.
