Teemto was my favourite. Just loved how his podracer looked like. Man, that podracing game makes me realize that I‘m not getting any younger! 😂 Nonetheless, thank you very much for this thorough video - brings back a lot of memories!
I always raced Teemto Pagalies in the podracing video game so he is my favorite. I liked the look of it and it was skinny enough to fit in tight spaces.
Gasgano was always my favorite just based on the pod design alone. I exclusively used him for every single race for years on the Podracer game and now have only recently decided to use all the other racers out of nastalgia. Pretty cool that he came in 2nd, I don't really remember that part.
I love how much information there is on such obscure characters in Star Wars. My favorite racer was Gasgano when I was a kid, but now I feel more of a soft spot for Ratts Tyerell due to how he died leaving behind a grieving family. It's also interesting to see how Teemto Pagalies (who once bullied him during the race, nearly crashing him into a rock formation), had a change of heart and was kind enough to help Leia get information on Anakin.
I honestly enjoy listening to the obscure stuff in general for Star Wars, especially in Legends. Sebulba buying Anakin's pod and making it one of his own shows a begrudging respect to me, though he definitely wouldn't let that loss go in kept Anakin racing instead of leaving the planet. I mainly came to learn about Gasgano, but hearing about the other racers was fun such as Quadranaros joining despite being out of his depth to win a bet and experiencing the more dangerous half of pod racing. Or the story of the Tyrell family after the Boonta Eve and how they raised awareness of how lethally dangerous pod racing was. For me the pod racers always were interesting because of how slapped together they looked, and the sounds of their engines are something I wouldn't have expected. The pods I like the most are Sebulba's, Neva Kee's, Dud Bolt's, and Ebe Endocott's.
My personal favorite is still Aldar Beedo since his pod’s design always looked cool and was a personal favorite for me to use in Episode I Racer. Such a shame that we never got a figure sized toy from Hasbro, but thankfully there’s both an official Lego release back in the early 2000’s and a fan made MOC that are worth building. Really cool that he won in 3rd place in this race. My other two favorites aside from Sebulba are Gasgano & Neva Kee. ^-^
Aside from Anakin, I enjoyed racing as Neva Kee in Episode I Racer. His wacky pod had incredible acceleration, and the way he’d give a crazy laugh when he died was infectious…and, perhaps, on-brand.
@@hyperspacedatabase Didn't realize Slide wasn't in the movie. Do you perchance recall any others who were in the game but not the film? Either way, thanks for reaching out.
@Falchion1984 several of the unlockable characters don't appear in the movie, like toy dampner and fun sang, although neva kee was technically in the race but you don't really see his racer in the movie (it has the cockpit in the front connected to its pods)
@@hyperspacedatabase Way back in the day, I got Episode I Racer as a reward for completing a stint of summer school catching up on math. Bled the game dry, and loved every minute of it!
Neva Kee was stopped and captured by a bounty hunter who had been sent by the manufacturers of Neva's engines who wanted information on the modifications he made to them.
Aldar Beedo's MARK IV Flat-Twin Turbojet looks like two tooth-like fuses that you might find in a car's fuse box. Dud Bolt's Vulptereen 327 looks like two electric hair-trimming razors. Gasgano's Ord Pedrovia looks like two backwards-facing rockets.

Teemto was awesome!
Lol, yeah I feel that!
Glad to do it!
Gasgano gets my vote!
@@LEGOkingJETTT Solid choice!!
Ben Quadinaros.
So legendary that two characters took his first name.
I always raced Teemto Pagalies in the podracing video game so he is my favorite. I liked the look of it and it was skinny enough to fit in tight spaces.
Nice choice!
I used to replay Mars going "Raaar" all the time as a kid.
Lol, yes!!
Aldar beedo was always my favorite. I used his pod almost exclusively in the game when I was a kid, just love the look of it
It does look super cool!
My Favorite besides Sebulba was Mars Gua
@andreaskrysztofiak4197 Good ol' Mars Guo!
I used Mars Guo exclussively through Ep 1. Iirc he had best acceleration and boost, abit clunky and big but manageable
@Demonkah nice!
The Podracers could easily have filled a 'Tales from' anthology novel.
For real! I'd read it!

Right? So much behind the scenes information! Super cool.
Podracer lore is insane, great video
For real! Thanks for watching!
RIP Ratts Tyerell
For real though.
"Sebulba needs little introduction"
Anakin: "am I a joke to you?"
Well, he was a joke to the other racers prior to the Boonta, so yes. 😂

aldar beedo and sabulba are the best

Fantastic video

Oh yeah? That sounds interesting! Do you have a source for that info?
Ratts Tyerell’s crash happened in the first lap. And Wan Sandage’s happened in the third.
Oh yea Sebulba was the main antagonist of the tatooine segment only
😅
Did… did Dud Bolt and Ark Bumpy Roose collided with each other in the race?
