Yes, the directions say exactly that...... Fill it when it is up, and you will have oil everywhere, when the liftgate goes down, just like his video...
Just had this happen myself. You overfilled the Reservoir. When you let the liftgate down the fluid goes back into the reservoir and since you had fluid in the hoses you overfilled it. When I did it my reservoir exploded
Do you have any knowledge of where to go get my lift gate checked out? It’s not working the on and off power switch button on the driver dashboard isn’t lighting up
is there any way you have pictures of the wires going to the solenoid, i have the same setup but i think i crossed a wire. i know shouldve took lots of pictures before i took it apart.
I was taught to always fill the fluid in the reservoir when the gate is all the way to the ground on a level surface
