Some years ago I saw clouded leopards at the San Diego Zoo. I was awestruck! Their coats reminded me of the Burmese Python, I was surprised at how small they are, and gobsmacked at how affectionate they were with their handlers!

Dav thanks for posting. I've always have been a big cat fan almost all my life. Used to volunteer at a big cat rescue in Bridgeport Texas with a friend of mine. All big cats have a special place in my heart especially clouded leopards. I love the interaction between you and them. It brought me to tears. That's how much I love big cats. To have that special time and bond with a big cat has always Been my favorite.
Clouded Leopards are my favorite big cat even though they aren't so big. I first saw them up close at the exotic feline breeding compound and the hurdles to captive breed them was unreal but finally happening at last. Neofelis has to be the most unique cat.

Funny how the camaraman said he was goin to McDonald's to eat while he's cuddling endangered animals. For example, the cheap hamburgers u get at McDonald's r mostly from cattle who r raised in some rain forest areas that r being burned down and cleared away to make room for the cattle to graze. This displaces many rainforest animals from their home so thank God for people like Sabrina who r able to take many of these now homeless animals in and care for them. 💕

way back when I was a kid I used to spend most of my weekends at the San Diego Zoo. it was free for kids under 16 at the time. I used to go right when they opened and there would be virtually no other visitors for a half hour or so. one day I was down by the clouded leopard enclosure and one of the keepers was sitting just outside the cage petting the leopard. I started talking to her as I was fascinated that she could do that. she asked if I wanted to pet it. I said of course! still remember that dense fur and how friendly that cat was.

Clouded Leopards are absolutely my favorite in that size class. I would love to buy land and participate in breeding programs to help them gain numbers. They aren't a type of leopard though (neither is the snow leopard). They are totally a separate breed and as un/related to the leopard and snow leopard as to a house cat or lion.

I'm 71, adore animals, and have never heard of Clouded Leopards before. They are beautiful, and sabre toothed, wow factor. I wish I was 24 again and ask the lady if I could work there. Hard work to be sure, but soul satisfying. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for filming this. I loved it.
Yeah, it's a native to southeast asia region. Like where I'm from, Malaysia, the species is almost extinct and now our government is trying really hard to bring them back.

And right now I'd LOVE to be able to have been in your shoes and have such an amazing encounter with clouded leopards. The few I've seen in zoos were always tucked away in dark corners sleeping. Clouded leopards aren't technically big cats. Plus, they're critically endangered & seeing clouded leopards in cages should make you cry.
