It is about material dependency of modern society which result in the collapse of mental health. The level of mental illness in the west is mind boggling over 50 percent to 90 percent depend on the severity. Just mind boggling.
I never knew that Einstein shared his thought about buddhism, but i came to the same conclusion due to followings: 1. Since we can live/build only in accordance with the laws of physics, a religion can only be true if it is aligned with the laws of physics. 2. Buddhism indroduced Karma. If you do good, you receive good and if you do bad, you will receive bad. The Newton's 3rd law states, that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The pinciples are exactly the same. If a religion said their god can forgive all humans wrong doing, it cant be true. In contrast to other religions, Buddhism is never about forgiving its followers, but rather karma. if you punched a wall, you will feel exactly the same impact of your own force on your fist. You cant transfer the pain to someone else and it is impossible. 3. Buddhism is also teaching about reincarnation as the cicle of our life and beyond. It is exacly described in the 1st law of thermodynamics. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only altered in form. Human is a form of energy, thus we are consuming food, and basically glowing like a walking light bulb. If we died, we alter in other form but not disappeared. It will keep transforming just like reincarnation described.
I like your explanation using physics: Newton, and Thermodynamics. Your rationale is scientifically correct, and logic. Thus, Buddhism is aligned with science, such as physics, and engineering. I like Buddhism
Reincarnation is problematic. My thinking is that the Jungian "Oceanic Feeling" is the epitome of human experience, perhaps a premonition of "afterlife/Heaven" if such a thing exists. At death (not meditation which is the premonition), the droplet (symbol for the soul or spirit or life-force/energy) returns to the ocean, as such the droplet ceases to exist - it cannot be reconstituted, only new droplets emerge... The Buddha was a mortal - I will not regard him as infallible or omniscient. Sorry to offend the religious if so done, almost.
@@paulalexander2740 Psychology (mind, behaviour, feeling, etc.) Is not an exact science. An “exact science” is one in which explanations and predictions can be reduced to mathematical equations very readily and reliably. Hence I would not take psychology into consideration. I also think there may have been a misunderstanding. A geometric form (droplet, cones, cubes, etc.) is not a form of energy. Energy can have different form such as electrical, thermal, kinetic, etc. Comparing energy with droplet is like comparing heat with an apple.
Not before questioning that supposed proof. He is fundamentally in favor of his worldview. He has hosted many speakers, such as those of Near Death Experiences, the Pope when hosting interfaith dialogue, etc in order to solidify the Buddhist worldview of rebirth, cyclical time, karma, etc and to build an anti-materialistic common ground with other religions. My point? There would be extreme hesitation toward bowing to a materialistic discourse brought forth by, say, a scientific study that “proved” something contrary to Buddhist thought.
The Dalai Lama said that Buddhism is the science of happiness, where happiness is defined as peace of mind. As a scientist, I have found Buddhism to be a very helpful path for myself.

Having grown up Catholic, then later in life looking at other religions, I discovered a path similar to Buddhism in the Punjab which answered a number of questions I had in my youth the church only said one had to accept it, leaving me empty. Living a philosophy of life as presented here as well as meditating daily, I feel more at peace with myself, very connected to the cosmos. Our physical compostion is the same as our universe. We are negatively charged, the same as our planet, thus we are very connected in many ways as one with the universe.

Living in America, I find it very hard to stay Non Violent since there is so much of it on T.V, in person, in school. Which is why I stay away from most people nowadays, But thanks to the Buddha, I have wisdom and can control my anger and actions through meditation.
I believe some of Einstein's science discoveries were sourced from Buddhism, eg every action has an opposite reaction (karma), energy will not disappear but change in form (incarnation of soul into different being) etc.
OK firstly "for every action there's equal and opposite reaction" is Newton's Third Law and concept of Karm is something older than Buddhism and was mentioned in bhagavadgita
That karma ( every action has an opposite reaction ) is not something said by budhdha , it's hindu teaching The karma said by buddha is different , (every action we doing by mind ,word and body is define as karma in buddhism ) I think this will be help to you improve your knowledge about buddhism Namo buddhaya
It just fits... a cycle or patterns based on cause and effect. This is what I have observed and learned over the past 70 years. Compassion is the action of love for loving others is easier than liking them. Love is a force that endures beyond all suffering when one learns to detach from personal desire as a motivational device to quell the fear of the unknown. Accepting I cannot know beyond this life freed me from the illusion that I or others did.❤
As a student of Physics and a Buddhist I started seeing the link of Buddhism and Science.... Buddha said that human mind cant understand the universe. Yeah!! We are in a 3 dimensional world and we cant understand the other dimensions except 1 and 2 since we ourselves are 3 dimensional objects. Modern Science says that there are 10,11 dimensions . But Buddha said he saw 31 dimensions.

Great and interesting video, thank you! I didn't know Einstein had talked about Spinoza's god and neither did I know that Einstein had said something about buddhism. It probably doesn't do anything for anyone to comment things here online, but Buddha's call to find out the reason for pain and suffering is just skillful means to make people do something to solve those issues and while doing so they realize that the questions they had in mind about the creation of the universe and everything else are solved simultaneously. Maybe it could help someone if the meaning of religion is revealed? It comes from latin root re-ligare meaning to bind together or connect again i.e. make human being's experience whole (same root word with holy and health) and clear. All nonsense about self development and such could be addressed by the words from a 13th century writer of the book The Cloud of Unknowing where is clearly explained how our experience of the self is the thing that keeps us (our experience of being) separate from everything else. And don't take me wrong, it is all good to try to develop the self and see how it works out. But what Spinoza, Gautama etc. talk about is something totally different.

Unfortunately, the title of the video is incorrect. Buddhism, like Taoism, is not a "religion". They are both spirituality based philosophies. However, Buddhism is both spiritually and scientifically based. The same is true of the teachings of the Christ, which are based in the same tenets of Buddhism, known as cause and effect. That's what the golden rule is all about. It is science, based in what we now call quantum physics. Truth be told, every major tradition that people erroneously refer to as "religions" are based in this same understanding, they are all philosophies, except that they have deities. Neither Buddhism and nor Taoism have deities. And then there is the misunderstanding of the terms God and gods altogether, which most people do not understand the correct meaning of. All faith traditions are actually based in the same universal science, but they add the complicating factor of deities, which confuses most people.

@@paulalexander2740 Psychology (mind, behaviour, feeling, etc.) Is not an exact science. An “exact science” is one in which explanations and predictions can be reduced to mathematical equations very readily and reliably. Hence I would not take psychology into consideration. Energy can have different form such as electrical, thermal, kinetic, etc. Comparing energy with droplet is like comparing heat with an apple.
I saw a reporter ask the Dalai Lama: What if science proved something in Buddhism was wrong? He answered, Buddhism would change.
beautiful. yes!
He needs to be asked about asking a young boy to kiss his tongue
Not before questioning that supposed proof. He is fundamentally in favor of his worldview. He has hosted many speakers, such as those of Near Death Experiences, the Pope when hosting interfaith dialogue, etc in order to solidify the Buddhist worldview of rebirth, cyclical time, karma, etc and to build an anti-materialistic common ground with other religions. My point? There would be extreme hesitation toward bowing to a materialistic discourse brought forth by, say, a scientific study that “proved” something contrary to Buddhist thought.

In reality It is Brahmanism and you manuwadis used hindu to exploit indigenous people (obc/sc/st) and minorities as well.......
And again there is no name like Sanatan Dharma.....to be a name it should be a noun....but the word Sanatan means which can not be subject to change (eternal) or permanent so it is an adjective thus religion can be sanatan but can't give a name so called sanatan dharma...as it is adjective...it can be used as to show qualities but can be used a noun.
And whatever you are stating above is on that level of science and understanding.....majority in the world would have accept....and you would not be dropping such false statements here....
and mere saying does not prove your this underrated statement....

Christianity teaches people how to love God.☠️
hay bạn, tối chán bọn u mê đấy lắm rồi
Good and clear voice for Buddha's teaching.
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear that you found the message clear and resonant. Your support means a lot!
Around @:06 the photo shows Einstein holding what looks like a pine cone. That may be a composed picture, not a real photo, but to many modern seekers of the meaning of spirituality, the pineal gland in our brain (which is shaped like a tiny pine cone), is the center of our spiritual life, along with "the third eye" of chakra.
great observation. thank you ernest. Namaste!
I am proud to be a born buddhist 😊
lucky you!

The ideological approach of Buddhism is familiar in my spiritual and intellectual beliefs, a utopian society that is practiced in part, in many geographical circumstance, a degree of quite seclusion allows for a collective cultural collaboration in specific goals to be achieved and maintained, Costa Rica appears to have achieved a solemn respect for its natural environment and to protect the biological contributions in tending too ,with minimal interference of it's natural surroundings.
Manufactering processes and eventual by product waste has severely damage ecosystems at a global level, time must be spent in utliization and application of technology to reverse direction in going back to the basics of biodegradable compounds that add too and not deplete. There are places and culture's that genuinely demonstrate humankind's successful attempts past and present to change for the betterment thru specific attention and focus in collaboration thru cultural influencual decision making in reach constructive goals in achieving quality standards. ❤❤❤❤❤
thank you for sharing your insights!
Dhamma is everywhere and It's all about taking actions not just believes like most people in the world used to. One can't just being a buddhist by only reading nor listening in Buddhism but have to put it into action and keep developing oneself to be a better person in everyday life.
There're 3 ways for a person to develope to which are 1-better behaviour. 2-better speaking. 3-better thinking. These're 5 precepts about which is 1-don't kill. 2-don't steal. 3-don't dishonest to one spouse. 4-Don't be a liar. 5-don't comsume anything to dull oneself senses and conciousness
Start with those first and being a better person. I think the world really need real practitioners not just talkers.
Beautifully said! Buddhism truly shines through practice, and the 5 precepts offer such a meaningful foundation for self-development. The world does need more real practitioners committed to positive change. Thank you for sharing this wisdom! 🙏 Namaste
"I don’t follow any particular religion, but through exploring the differences and core principles of each, I find Buddhism to be the most reasonable. Some other religions do not encourage us to interpret or question the world but instead require us to simply love and obey their laws. Of course, adhering to these rules can help us develop personal ethics and make the world a better place. However, personally, I seek something beyond that.
It’s wonderful that you resonate with Buddhism's approach to questioning and exploring. Wishing you a meaningful journey in discovering your truth! 🙏😊
@@mayawisdom888 but now i believe we are living in "the age of degenerate Dharma" and it will be like and getting worst for many thousand years. Thats sad but nothing we can do
The background noise is most distracting.
will fix next video, thank you for letting me know. Namaste!
Huge part of the Buddha teachings was Love. But you Must know that, this Love is not the love that we know and feel right now
His Love is the real and the absolute one, which is Pure and Unconditional
our love is Always need something in return because it based on greed, anger and ignorance
it's just little thing we Need to clear 1st, another millions more are waiting on the path, if one want to follow .
that's why there're many thousands and thousands book in Buddhism, walking us step by step, on the Correct direction, to truly understand what this whole Universe really is.
Fun fact : If a smart man wanted to become a Buddha, he needs a Minimum of Four asankhyeyyas and a hundred thousand aeons to achieving spiritual perfections.
1 asankhyeyyas = 10^140 ( 10 to the power of 140 ) of 1 Aeon
1 Aeon = around 1.335 Billion years ( the length of the world's life cycle )
Can you imagine how long will it take to become the One ?

Buddhism is not a Religion. Is a teaching of behavior.
thanks for sharing friend. Namaste!
I think that Buddhism is a road to comprehending the meaning of life and death and learning to focus on the importance of life itself instead of dwelling on material things. To be selfless and take only what you need to survive.
Mind-blowing insights from one of the greatest minds of all time! Buddhism truly seems to resonate with science in ways I never considered before. ✨🧘♂ #Einstein #Buddhism"
I'm glad you found the connection between Buddhism and science insightful! It’s fascinating how these perspectives align in such profound ways ❤️🙏✨
we must look at Buddhism (like all religions) not as physicists, but as psychologists, because it is all about the subjective perception of the world (psyche)
that is so true. Thank you for sharing. Om mani padme hum!
When a religion respects all lives are equal ,that religion is what you have to follow.
Absolutely! Respect for all lives is such a beautiful foundation for any belief system. Thank you for sharing this insight!✨
Buddha first brings Vedanta to public. Every prophet says same thing according to the demand of time ❤
yeah that makes kinda sense. sending love and blessings to you and your family friend!

If everyone follows Gautam Buddha's path, I think there will be no one left to nurture Buddha so that he can achieve Buddhism. If Buddha's wife had also gone searching for happiness and salvation for herself, what would have happened to the newborn baby? Gautam Buddha married and gave birth to a child, but shirked the responsibility of being a husband and father.
yes, that is a great story. Good to take into consideration. I am actually curious what happened with his son? And the rest of his lineage. But yeah if that is what it takes to influence millions of people, then he might have done the right thing. Its not up to us to judge it I guess. But valid point. Namaste!
