I really loved vibrant and electric colors, so I definitely prefer F2nd, of course, I understand what DT was going for, realistic, but it's just too dull in some areas of her face and I don't really like that. Plus, some bone structures look odd in the dark.
PSP: All its too dark , don't have water in the setting everythink is dark (but Rin not) Dreamy Theater: the water looks more realist but every is too blur , Rin's hands they too bigs and thats scare me F2nd: every have effect , Rin got AdultShader (looks like) the water are blue-clear when Rin's coreography are cool and lips , Shaders , setting looks like an really game of Anime for me , the better is ...F2nd are more realist and have a cool coreography and camera (and sorry for my bad english)
Kriz Kiwiz for me though it seems PSP has the best overall color, dreamy second, and F2nd is just overly sharp and saturated. they really should use some simple shaders for skin because anime always has simple skin shading but flamboyant garments and eyes, that which are the focus of eyes. F2nd is the newest and has been created with the best technology, but it looks like further back in technology the better the artists sense of beauty. that last bit in f2nd when they had those scintillating particles and that weird sound effect is just completely destroying the atmosphere. the mood of that is to make you want to suicide, not to think "oh my gawd picture so pretty so much light"
I hard agree with you there! Its sad that SEGA has been at a steady decline with the Project DIVA series's MVs after F 2nd. F 2nd was literally the pinnacle of Project DIVA animations.
Dreamy Theater has an amazing background and effects, good color, etc, F2nd has great movement and camera angles. Can't say much about the PSP, it looks clunky and laggy if i'm being honest.

guys, you have to remember, that Project Diva F games, are an actual port from the PSVita, but in PS3 the engine was optimized.. PSP runs at 30fps in the actual gameplay DT runs at 60fps (more like the Arcade counterparts) and PDF2nd also runs at 30fps... i think it due to fact, it's a direct port... but honestly, i prefer PDF2nd... because "Anime Realistic" lookin to the PV LOL xD

Usually it runs at 60fps when not much is happening in the song, and the Vocaloid or module is not on the screen. For example, at the beginning of "The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku", when nothing is really going on, the game is running at 60fps (About). But when Miku enters and a lot starts happening, the fps rate goes down.
I prefer Dreamy Theater on 60fps alone, but F2nd does have some amazing colors and improved the faces, mouths, and lip sync. But what I like the most about the Dreamy Theater renders is that they more accurately reflect what a real Vocaloid would look like with the slight uncanny valley effect. It can get a tiny bit creepy depending on the PV, but it has an odd charm for me.

If you were to play the game for yourself, you would know that all the songs in project diva f 2nd have an alternate ending/ different scene to them. Dreamy theatre has more realistic looking graphics that can easily take the colourfulness that Project diva F2nd has always provided for it's players. I will prefer project diva F2nd to anybody who likes colourful graphics and the "alternate endings".
I REALLY want them to mix FT and F2nd cause which one is better makes me more torn then a piece of paper that broke. I mainly want them to change the way Rins face looks and make her hair slightly less poofy and fix that terrible lip syncing and make the colors more saturated and appealing, but keep the realistic setting and all the details in the background. It would be nice if they made the characters more expressive and make the movements in some of the earlier songs look more natural (looking at you Meltdown and World is Mine) and put more detail in the fingers and body movements (like what they did in Rolling Girl F2nd) Also it would be nice if they made slightly different models for the characters which are a middle ground between the Anime style of F2nd and the realistic doll like style of FT. It would be nice if they put the updated F2nd PVs and change some camera angles on other ones as well. As well as keep the chance time effects. Put the best version of each pv in instead of the outdated ones (looking at you Kokoro Diva Version. Mirai version is better) and add the effects from Mirai that they removed for some reason (looking at you Deep Sea Girl and Yume Yume). It would be nice if they changed the setting of the pvs to better times. (Like Wintry Wind would be better at night then at day and Kagerou Daze would be better at day because Diva threw accuracy out the window there) Change the way certain models look in FT. In some types of shading, Kaito, Rin and Len look weird. Meiko, Miku and Luka all look fine typically. But i know that this is WAY too much to ask for.

They do that to any song over the 3:30 second mark... but if you want the full song you could just search it up, it's kind of like a sample for me to see what I like XD

You can tell which one is shorter by hearing how long it takes for the music to start after the title goes away. The long one will be if the song starts almost right away after the title. The short one is after a-maybe 5 to 10 seconds period (Probably not, but close to that).
Ik I’m 6 years late, but I got back into the fandom so idc Psp: I really like the low saturation and darkness, it makes her look like she’s in a dark alley in the middle of nowhere, and the large text as well. It has a retro feel to it. But the lagginess kinda throws me off. Dreamy Theater: DT is a hit or miss, and since she’s against the lighting, the shadowing is not so good, naking her look flat and look like a doll lol. But the graphics of the water is really nice. F2nd: It’s a bit oversaturated with the blue and the yellow in her hair, but the special effects and her model is really good. The good thing about the F series’s models is that it doesn’t rely on actual lighting, but has shading literally on the model, so they don’t look so flat, like in dt sometimes. The perfect project diva for me, is if you take DT’s background, F2nd’s model and special effects, with low saturation and larger text.
F 2nd is good, I'm not gonna lie it's one of my favorite games and I do not like how DT. Uses the Psp Rin's movements and camera angles they should have used F 2nd Rin's angles and movements
That is because DT is just a Ps3 add-on to PSP DIVA to make the graphics look better. You actually need PSP DIVA to use DT. And also, DT was W A Y before F2nd, considering the fact that it was a really just a graphics updater to PSP. (Also there is PSP DIVA 2nd and Extend, and there is DT 2nd and Extend)
People usually hate on the newer games for being “emotionless” or “not expressive enough” some characters I do see this (especially Rin), but some songs they look fine! Yeah they are more expressive in the older games (F, and F 2nd) but they don’t look totally emotionless. And everyone says “it’s the eyes” but I still don’t see it :/
Well, Dreamy Theater feels like hometown to me, I think they should have kept Rin's hair color in Dreamy Theater. Anyway I guess F2nd is better...The effects are amazing and the models are amazing.

i think PSP is trying to hard to be smooth, which causes it to be a bit choppy at the fast parts. I Believe Dreamy Theater is really good. it has more details in rin and the water. the brightness is also turned up alot which allows you to see everything cleary. I think F2nd Is okay. i think its to vibrant for my liking but other then that its really good.

I really like F2nd because it does look more cartoony, but the cartoony makes it more anime like. I mean, some people consider VOCALOID as "anime", right? The graphics are simply beautiful to me. I understand if people like Dreamy Theater because of the realism (I loved Dreamy Theater before I found out about F and F2nd). Everyone has opinions! ^^
Really it is all up to your opinion. I think both Dreamy Theater and PDF2nd have their own perks. DT is more realistic and the hair and clothes are just soooo pretty, well F2nd has brighter colors and in my opinion better backgrounds. Honestly I think if they can fuse the great hair and clothes animations from DT and the colors and animations from F2nd it would be perfect. But all in all everyone has their own opinions, right ^^
It'll be awesome if they combine the graphics and realistic of dreamy thether plus the vibrancy and detailed stage of F 2nd and the new chance time ending, It'll be amazing! Bet they will add that on the Project diva arcade future tone. Plus, this song on extreme, has gone a bit easier.
They might add this in future tone but there's a good chance they won't because for one its taking them a long time to port all the songs from F they still haven't completed half and all the songs in F besides world's end dancehall although I believe this is world's end dancehall's first time being in a home console! So because this game has returning songs if they port any songs at all (they first have to finish F) they may not port old songs
Maybe but don't get your hopes up to high chance time is something unique to diva f series and if they do port f 2nd songs they will probably do new songs first (if they ever finish F)

Here's how I see it, PSP, then Dreamy Theater and then PDF2nd. BUT Future tone is better then all of them. Though that would be obvious, since it takes the improvments from PDF2nd's videos and adds dreamy theater into the mix. Though...some things in PDF2nd are just better.

Environment & Smoothness: DT Expression & Camera Angle: F2nd Cuteness: PSP Despite it being clunky (yikes at the sudden change at 1:48) , PSP one made Rin's body & face less mature, and imo cuter. Love F2nd the best. Can't say it perfect, but I really enjoy the expression change and the more mature face. I still dislike DT despite the smoother texture, lightning and movement. They made the models way too doll-like.
Dreamy theater is the best one because the models look satisfying like realistic anime dolls and the water looks very realistically clean and crisp. PSP is too dark, blurry, and distorted with a very dull & grim simplistic atmosphere. F2nd has too much Oversaturated colors with details that are too sharp which creeps me out a lot and gives me nightmares. Overall, Dreamy Theater is the Winner imo and I really love how Rin’s Reactor Module looks in DT.

The graphics for Dreamy Theater are very similar to Future Tone or Arcade.
From the camera angle in PSP and Dreamy Theater I always thought Rin kneeled at the end and F2ND proved me wrong

I just wish they saved these beautiful models for Dreamy Theatre but keep the physics.
I prefer Dreamy Theater and F2nd because Dreamy Theater has the best effect and F2nd the best steps and the charakters look way better than the PSP version
I think they tried too hard with the facial expressions in DT. The lip syncing is awful in DT as well. F 2nd is better
I really think Dreamy theater looks the best. PDF 2nd just looks more cartoony to me. I don't get how people usually think PDF 2nd looks the best.
It's not exactly aiming to be the most realistic but in terms of shading and stuff like that, I agree with you.

I really like F2nd because it does look more cartoony, but the cartoony makes it more anime like. I mean, some people consider VOCALOID as "anime", right? The graphics are simply beautiful to me. I understand if people like Dreamy Theater because of the realism (I loved Dreamy Theater before I found out about F and F2nd). Everyone has opinions! ^^
Really it is all up to your opinion. I think both Dreamy Theater and PDF2nd have their own perks. DT is more realistic and the hair and clothes are just soooo pretty, well F2nd has brighter colors and in my opinion better backgrounds. Honestly I think if they can fuse the great hair and clothes animations from DT and the colors and animations from F2nd it would be perfect. But all in all everyone has their own opinions, right ^^
It'll be awesome if they combine the graphics and realistic of dreamy thether plus the vibrancy and detailed stage of F 2nd and the new chance time ending, It'll be amazing! Bet they will add that on the Project diva arcade future tone. Plus, this song on extreme, has gone a bit easier.
They might add this in future tone but there's a good chance they won't because for one its taking them a long time to port all the songs from F they still haven't completed half and all the songs in F besides world's end dancehall although I believe this is world's end dancehall's first time being in a home console! So because this game has returning songs if they port any songs at all (they first have to finish F) they may not port old songs

Here's how I see it, PSP, then Dreamy Theater and then PDF2nd. BUT Future tone is better then all of them. Though that would be obvious, since it takes the improvments from PDF2nd's videos and adds dreamy theater into the mix. Though...some things in PDF2nd are just better.

Despite it being clunky (yikes at the sudden change at 1:48) , PSP one made Rin's body & face less mature, and imo cuter.
Love F2nd the best. Can't say it perfect, but I really enjoy the expression change and the more mature face.
I still dislike DT despite the smoother texture, lightning and movement. They made the models way too doll-like.

I like Dreamy Theater...
Dreamy theater is the best one because the models look satisfying like realistic anime dolls and the water looks very realistically clean and crisp.
PSP is too dark, blurry, and distorted with a very dull & grim simplistic atmosphere.
F2nd has too much Oversaturated colors with details that are too sharp which creeps me out a lot and gives me nightmares.
Overall, Dreamy Theater is the Winner imo and I really love how Rin’s Reactor Module looks in DT.
