You have the most approachable distillation channel on RUclips, I watch a few others, but your humor and the "just a regular guy fucking around" energy keeps me coming back
Nice " rig". Love watching bubble plates in operation. Hypnotic. Never gets old. Did my first infusion run yesterday. Results were acceptable, but not holiday gift worthy. Back to the drawing board.....
You’re so right about the bubble plates, they’re great to watch when they’re in action, aren’t they. Getting a Run right AND being able to repeat it, is tricky at the best of times. There’s soo many variables that each contribute towards the final product. So there’s always room for some compromise. Good luck and Keep Shining 😎😎
I thought I’d stick to a simple concoction, and then see what difference I get from using a different process (that’s in next weeks video). But as you know, there’s soo many different ways to make this stuff. So I tried to keep it on my own personal level…..which is semi idiot proof 🥴
Once again you have inspired me! I've made gin before, macerated style and it was 'acceptable' but I'm in the phase of the hobby to produce only the best. I love how you set your still up with the botanicals which is the inspired part! I've got all the ingredients on hand so ya, I'm going to give it a go. I haven't done a sugar wash in forever (I use 'rummy' base), but for this, it's sugar for sure. Thx m' man!
I don’t know how I can inspire you, as I’m sure you’re far more experienced/intelligent at this game than me 😂 It’s always nice to have a go at something different, but not too different from what you know works. And this worked ok for what I was expecting to get out of it. It would be cool to see a vid of your set up running 😉😉😉😉😉
I’m starting to like Gin, but there’s soo many different ways to make it and an infinite combination of botanicals and quantities to use, it all makes for a lot of trial and error. That’s if you’re fussy……which I am not 😆
It worked very well for me through my Still. And I guess it’s really pretty similar to using a Gin basket, as the botanicals only need to be in the vapour/column.
@@highly-spirited Works is works. My assumption was/is the the location of the gin basket for london dry helps with the clarity/oils, but I'm definitely going to have to play about with this. G&T with a squeeze of lime is a personal favourite.

You’re so right. I’m not here to teach, I just show what I’m doing and try and be lighthearted about it all.
im realy looking forward to the next video my friend

Damn it, I would love to hear the result! Waiting for the next video!
Don’t get your hopes up Erwin 😂 It’s just more of the same tbh.

Thanks for your video. Roughly what percentage is the foreshot?
I've not made Gin yet, It's on the cards. I look forward to the next vid to compare.

Woo hoo, London Dry. Kind of surprised how well this worked vs using a gin basket.

Bastard, I's waiting for the look on your face. Nice vid mate
The old problem of the oils falling out of suspension once diluted!
How can you prevent this?
@@yerrysherry135 throw out the first 20mls. The first 20mls hold most of the oil’s.
@@melvynwood2824 Thank you, I'm going to try it.
Bring your abv up to 43% and it will go away.
Add alcohol to your water to dilute. Not the other way around
