i did the research and looked at studies from other skeptical people, he's not actually bsing. coffee grounds can actually power 2/3rds of an entire city. realistically getting all the grounds is not possible so 1/5th seems like a safe bet. englands actually pretty small so if they put all their effort into it im sure they can manage. if america did the coffee thing they could probably power several cities. We already have so many coffee chains.
As he had shown, it would probably require some chemistry to separate the oils from the solid material itself to create a dry object to burn. But basically it is just coffee grind without water or liquids in it.
@hassanbeydoun2460 nah it's really not complicated chemistry. It's basically just pyrolysis, which is heating up an object in the absence of oxygen. That will naturally separate the water vapor, butane, methane and bio diesel until you are left with a carbonized product. It's actually very similar to how charcoal is made.
Ingenious. Of course, coffee is a threatened crop, climate change looking to decimate its numbers, so it may not be of much use in the future. Good to know nonetheless, as this technology may have applications beyond just coffee grounds
A CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU! Driving around with coffee biodiesel smell will drip UP coffee demand and get them MORE used grounds! Talk about cornering the used coffee grounds market! LOL
Coffee cups, coffee furniture, coffee shoes, coffee clothes, now coffee fire logs.
We can do amazing if we rethink waste in re-purposing applications.

so how come they are still not doing it?
This is pretty cool!
Brilliant! 😊
A diesel engine that smells like coffee when it runs? Shut up and take my money. LOL
Anything that provides energy for a low price is good but It's organic waste so it doesn't matter if it goes to landfill.
Can you list the recipe of the coffee grounds logs?

Proof of Coffee grain Diesel being a viable fuel is required. It sounds like B.S. to me.
