Armor and Amulet stats: Try to get Cooldown Reduction, Damage Reduction (Regular+Close+Bleeding), Total Armor, Maximum Life, Strength.
Ring stats: Life, Damage to Close+Bleeding Enemies, Physical Damage.
Weapon stats: Strength, All Stats, Damage to Close+Bleeding Enemies.
Vulnerable is better, but we apply bleed through thorns damage and I just find that interaction neat, so I'm going for Damage to Bleeding Enemies.
If you want to min-max, go for Vulnerable instead. Switch out out the Blood Rage Paragon Board to Decimate, and the Bloodfeeder Glyph for Exploit.

Pvp is pretty much rock, paper, scissor. Sometimes you kill others in a blink of an eye, other times it happens to you. Meta builds will always be better, so be prepared to get smashed in one hit by Hammer of the Ancients barbarians, and spiked to death by Bone Spear necromancers, prepare for death as you watch your life bar drain in 2 seconds from poison rogues etc.

This doesnt work except as in the video against underleveled players and glass cannon mages and rogues. If someone tries to ruin your day youre getting slam dunked with this build. As you could see this build couldnt touch an underleveled bear druid and a WW barbarian. Unfortunately both those classes have terrible pvp damage.

But it doesnt make sense for a sorc to die from attacking with magic...thorns should be a physical defene against other physical moves not some ice projectiles its just silly.

That Druid was closest to killing him, the most amount of times and he was lacking double/triple Landslide on his Trample. He wasn't even properly built as an Earth Werebear. I would have had him dead. Full Barrier, Fortify and Overpower 3 TIMES within 20 seconds, you build them on Overpower and Defense. Crowd Control is guaranteed as well, if done right.

@@AM0ERIC0AN That is not how your build a pulv bear. But he did play it wrong, he could have aoed barb near other mobs for 100% crit and 3% life steal per mob per hit and would easily win. If all mobs died, move to next area.

I mean, the whole video was good, Druid just felt like an underdog(bear).
They had a very specific Souls Invader-vibe; they know they cant win straight up, so they used the world as a weapon.

I'm mostly playing like a mindless inevitable force slowly running after them as I only have the +12% movement speed from the skill tree. 9 out of 10 fights I don't initiate, I'm just there to mess with people, not ruin their fun. If they attack me, survive and decide to run away, or not attack me after the first fight, I'm not going after them.
I get the feeling a encounter of two thorns barbarian in pvp arena would be the most peaceful.
They'd team up. Trust me

There needs to be a talent that makes the barb even slower, but in return increases the thorns by another 50%. A true turtle build.

Pvp is just silly in games like this, but it can still be fun. But every now and then some meta-build will swoop in and stomp everyone in the zone.

I love everything about this video. I was actually theory crafting this exact idea. To build heavy damage redux, thorns, barrier/fortify. Yours definitely performs so well! This is great.
its not as fun fighting mobs that hit very very slow.. or just stands there...
@@josephsaeteurn9158 it's true, the build definitely shines from hits in rapid succession. The idea for me was to create the anti pvp build. I'll leave you alone, but if you initiate, you're dead lol. Tanking raid bosses with thorns probably isn't the ideal build. Especially since there isn't a healer class to help stand in the dumb for more thorns.

Nahh, I got chased by a lvl 100 barb and I was on the horse boost and he was the same speed! He scared the hell out of me I was lvl 70 😂

@ulysses9577 it's not all you need, but it's the most important piece. I believe on barb there are some legendary aspects for thorns too, but the unique chest gives you around 15k thorns which is massive considering any other piece can roll a max of 1000 or so thorns on them

Yep. Tried to take a barbs shards the other day with my rogue. Stunned him and dropped a death trap, then dashed away only to die as soon as my trap went off... I was like "WHAT THE FU... oooooh.. thorns"
If that's true, that shouldn't work. Its not you who is hitting him, but the trap. This shouldn't be a thing against ranged attacks or AoE neither... Interesting how 99% of games understand why, except Blizzard and Diablo IV... Remember the time when Thorn mechanic was OP in PoE? It almost happened ONCE before ppl said f that and the patch never came out. This should only work against non AoE attacks that hit in close range that literally target the character, but against a trap? That just shows how early this game is.

That was the only build with any damage reduction. Thorns aren't that strong.

I found a unique chest with only thorns dmg on it (like 8k I think), I always wondered what it might be good for. now I know.
Same here. Thank god I didn't sell or dismantle it. Now I know what I'll put on when I enter PvP areas.
With enough buffs you can get your thorns to around 27000 it’s pretty memes
That chest can roll with up to 24k lol I have one with 20k thorns

When u see a barb in pvp just run and switch zones not even worth trying this class is absurdly op in pvp. Hota barb one shotting me while i had fortify up 10k armor 15k hp 40% dmg reduction from basic attacks and other dmg reductions. He just stabbed me and i was gone... so dumb. But nice thorns build if i would play barb i would only go to pvp zones with thorns build and laugh my ass off by watching people killing themselfs
Hota smashes everything to bits, one crit and you're gone. I had 17k life, overcapped on armour, tons of damage reduction too, didn't help a bit :(

I'm pretty sure there are ways around the thorns only issue is I'm pretty sure only rogue can with their stuns right now or a necromancer sacrificing their minions. That or some kind of life leech equivalent.

Agaisnt thorns, only life leech that is strong enough to sustain you. If is 1x1, of course.
@@HatakeHyeiare there skills/passives that give considerable life leech? From what I saw there's only that 1 super rare level 85+ unique that has life leech on it and I believe it's the only piece of gear that does.
This is obscene how unfair it is for non barbs but it’s hilarious as hell to watch 😂
Uh yeah, but did you just see the ending? Thorns can be worked around by DoT, i.e. Firewall.
@@andvan5171 Oh I know, I have a clip from the first week the game was out where a Barb tried to kill me while I was extracting and I killed him with shadow damage over time to get past his.
@@andvan5171 Yea, it is more a good counter to the current meta of Vuln and Crit. A Firewall Sorc, probably a sustain Minion Necro, and maybe a Poison / imbuement Rogue (I dunno much about if druid builds have any good access to dots / mass healing) could all have a good shot of either straight up farming a Thorns build from any class or at least making a fight out of it. And a sustain Barb was shown at the start to be doing really well vs the Thorns Barb, he only got taken out by the Sorc's burst.
It's a hilarious counter build that works really well vs any PvE build transferred into PvP. Thorns still will probably be canned because fun police, but eh.
