Just a quick question, is this a review or more of an ad? Because you're putting this in your shop, I'm pretty sure this is why you're not mentioning anything negative, even tho you're thorough on the positive points. Would be nice to hear this bias explicitely stated at the beginning
Hey, thanks for watching. You're absolutely right, we sell this machine, through out online shop. This allows us to make these videos advertising and reviewing the products we sell and often coffee gear that we don't sell. That being said I still speak freely about all the products in our videos and there was nothing implied for us to only speak only positively about the Fellow Aiden. I genuinely am in love with this machine and it's hard to fault. I understand how this can come across as salesy but that's not our intention. The reason why we have a RUclips channel in the first place is to educate and teach people how to use their equipment and feature new products. This stretches into one of our core beliefs at Basic Barista, to make complex and often confusing topics 'Basic' and simple to understand. On a personal note I hate selling and sales, again another reason why we make these videos. I want to give as much information about a product so that customers can make an educated decision on the equipment they are interested in. I want to finish on this note: Some cons of the Fellow Aiden would only be a mix match of the consumer to this products offerings, if you're brewing 1 cup of coffee a day and NOT occasionally brewing larger batches you aren't going to be using the Aiden to its fullest potential. As I also mentioned in the video, it can be clunky to pre wet the filter and from what I can tell Fellow haven't got a solution for this in the current firmware. It would be great to see a solution to this, possibly a pre wet cycle before adding the grounds allowing you to utilise the hot water from the Fellow Aiden and not have to run and then cancel a brewing cycle. Besides that I am genuinely impressed with the Fellow Aiden's capabilities and it's features. Throughout my time using this machine I haven't been able to find any other flaws. I hope this helps answer your question and if you have any other questions about the Aiden just reply to this comment, more than happy to help where I can :)
LOVE IT!
Thanks for watching!
Such a great machine :) What's your favourite thing about the Aiden?
