Pretty sure he doesn't use triggers. His bass drum does have a bit of an unusual tone to it, but all of his drums have a real tight sound to them. He's obviously extremely talented and he always does a great job, but I do wish he'd use a tom to vary up the sounds a bit.
Maybe it has something to do with a potential injury that he sometimes has to compensate for on occasion? It's just a theory of mine based on his previous videos where he talks about injuring his hands.
wouldn't even matter anyway because there isn't any problem using triggers. The problem is when people set them to make the same volume sound regardless of how soft/hard you hit. They don't have to be set up like that at all
What's everyones problem with triggers? You can set them so they have 127 levels of velocity sensitivity, more than enough for any humans nuances. The only time triggers are wak is when they're set to normalize your velocity. They don't quantise your hits on the fly either. Lot's of misinformation and fallacies out there

Regarding his finger placement on his sticks, varying his grip might relieve stress on on his hands, skin, whatever. Just a thought.
Finally someone who didnt pause every 10 seconds
I thought he would switch his grip up to do stick tricks, but I didn't see any during this performance.
@@Codycreek not this one surprisingly
