Colin literally knows nothing about the UFC just the names of Rousey, Jones, and McGregor
You can’t expect sports analysts to know everything about an emerging sport. UFC was still doing only a million buys at MAX at this point. That’s less than 1/3rd of what big boxing matches do.
Give it 5-10 years, and guys like Halloway, Khabib, Whitaker, and Woodley will be household names. Then the analysts will have to take notice.

Colin is in general is still new to the UFC and MMA and is really just starting to embrace the two as a whole. I hope he continues to have on UFC and MMA fighters, broadcasters, and analysts so that the coverage gets more fleshed out over time. Just the latest and greatest take on Mcgregor is so surface level when there is a whole sport to dive into.
The Rockhold fight, and then this GSP fight, that’s what made me a huge Bisping fan. Then I found his podcast, and it’s full of insight into MMA, and just life, from a guy who grew up the normal life.
I feel pity for these UFC folks... they don’t unionise and help each other out. The small amount of money they make doesn’t come close to compensate the brain trauma they suffer. Slowly but surely slurred speech comes and then one day they can’t find their way home.
Bisping has fought more fights than pretty much anyone. He's filthy rich. And he is doing just fine.

no athletic commission would not clear a fighter to fight with sub par vision. His retina has been repaired after several surgeries.. . If you look closely their is a droop on his right side but he is cleared and he is a beast.

Circumstances worked for him. I myself did not like his character, but I can't hate on the guy. I saw how he really acts last summer and know he is respectful and well spoken. Very big contrast to his character portrayed when in front of a camera. It sells tickets though.
