    It would be a huge disservice if there isn't an artbook of this at some point. All of the costumes have been gorgeous and the care and detail in them has been obvious from the first episode. Love these behind the scenes from the different departments. I hope we eventually get into hair and makeup as well as the sound crew.

    The costumes have been a highlight of season 1 for me as a long time book fan. Keep up the great work! I love all the attention to detail. For example, the sunbursts worked into Valda's leather belt.

    When I watched this series I just had to draw their clothes, especially Moiraine's, because it looked so powerful and beautiful! It's nice to know that there were a lot of research and inspiration going on, and I'm excited for the next seasons when see more of the other worlds/cultures.

    Amount of work and some of the costumes and ideas behind them are astonishing. Yet people from two rivers seemed to me a little bizarre and out of place if it is about costumes. I think they look like modern versions of something from ages ago. Rands sweater or blu shirt look like that. On the other hand, that may be the point since it's world "reincarnated".

    The books give a VAST amount of detail of the clothing people wear and honestly, nothing from the show feels true to what was described. Seems like the designers were just told "okay Sheinar = Japan" and they just go from there... Were they not given passages from the books describing the clothing? It doesn't seem like it

  • @Gr4v3l0rd
    @Gr4v3l0rd 2 года назад +9

    Unpopular opinion. I think the costumes are one of the many weak spots of the show.
    They might be nice designed, but everything looks brand new, even in the village in episode one.
    Also way to many and strong colours, which no one could make, or if, afford in a medieval world.
    Except you are very rich, which doesn't apply on anybody in the village.
    Combined with the toy katanas and axes, the show has the typical cheap look of tv shows like the even worse Shannara Chronicles or Shadow Hunters.
    If you compare it with the looks of shows like Game of Thrones, The Last Kingdom, Kingdom or even The Witcher, it just don't looks good.

    • @Emily-mv4cx
      @Emily-mv4cx 2 года назад +6

      I agree it doesn't look realistic at all, seems more like costumes in a broadway play than clothes people would actually wear

    Episode 8 was a flop. I totally understand changing green man but it was lazy writing and the Trollocs looked like a ps2 game graphics. Wish you would have took another year to figure it out. Rand did nothing. He channeled some nobody and what ewgene bringing nynaeve back from the dead. Why? If nobody stays dead there is no point. They aren’t special. And where’s nynaeve block. So many complaints about episode 8. You broke the wheel….

    Ask any one who know this books, What Amazon done to WoT will forever be remember as the worst butchery done to a masterpiece series ,that originally promote friendship ,bravery, duty , selfless sacrifice for others and hope for better tomorrow. Turning in to pile of sheet. That what you get if casting depends on ideology and how much you hate Trump .It is good that this travesty ends with the first season. I wonder how many other people refuse to sponsor such twisted undertaking and cancel their Amazon subscription . Likely every one who read those books
