The most valuable contribution you make to my life as a "fledgling" artist, Thomas, is your fine eye for detail. Many free YT watercolour presentations, are slap-dash and nigh on useless to someone who is trying to finess the art of watercolour. I also appreciate the real time drawings and understandable explanations of how and why. Thank you kindly 😊
I understand that there are countless ways to paint - Some are more time-tested - some are fashionable or popular. But I try to make my videos - more than anything else - useful
Visual creativity;requires not what we see, how we see it! Interpretation, drawing or painting are just a tool to reflects that! I said before, every episode gives me something to think about. In this episode I start to think about Vincent van Gogh;how he see it, how he draw and how he painted. Thank you! You're truly a treasure!
I believe ART is the most beautiful element in our evolution! Love to be witness when I see or hear it! Wishing you long creativity life to learn more from you! Thanks as always!
Thomas, a question! I notice that you are using Blackwing pencils, but different ones for the value study, and the Blackwing Pearl for the final drawing. I can only think it’s the different leads. Which one did you use for the value study, and what is the difference? 🤓
You articulate so well with such eloquence and precision, it is like poetry in motion watching you and listening to you. Thank you so kindly.
You are so welcome

Thank you so much - Oh Van Gogh! Perhaps no better teacher for learning the difference between "looking" and "seeing"

@@mehmetsbirlik4112 Bless You
It's very educating how you find balance between tight and loose painting. I tend to draw tight and then struggle to find that balance
Thank you Thomas
You are very welcome

I hope seeing you here today doesn’t bode terrible heat! Better rain….
Not at all - Just felt like recording a video today

Yes, I used a Blackwing 602 for the quicker value sketch. It is slightly more soft - and so a bit easier to get very dark darks
