AHI is Aamna Haider Isani and will bring to you the life, style and soul of my life.
The word AHI may be the acronym of my name, but it independently stands for a species of Hawaiian Tuna. Ahi is an apt name for me. As a Piscean, fish is my symbol and water my element.
But this channel isn't about astronomy. l'll be tapping into my 20-year career as a fashion journalist to cover fashion as a source of self-expression and body positivity. We'll have a little bit of fun in shows like Fashion Fortnightly. I'll be connecting with fashionable creatures in Meet the Muse and reviewing fun, new products in the short FIR - First Impression Review. Aamna 101 will take you into my life while The AHI Icon will bring you an exceptional person, whose story inspires.

Amna you are using petite word incorrectly.
Petite means women under 5’3” and comes in every size. 0 to 14.
It’s not used just for skinny women.
So you mean it means short not skinny?
Just 5’3 inches or shorter
Petite means short and dainty.
In ghararas the most essential thing is the cut. Traditionally it is cut on bias (auraib) and that’s a lot more slimming. I don’t see the proper gharara cut these days. Traditionally women of all body types wore it with a short shirt but it was the cut of the gharara that created the fall.
Traditionally the gharara was also an everyday garment for the elite. And yes, no one cuts it like it used to be.

Auraib or bias cut means that you lay the fabric grain diagonally at a 45 degrees angle to cut it as opposed to laying it on a 90 degrees angle either lengthwise or widthwise. The 45 degrees is where a woven fabric is most stretchy. The fall of the gharara will be less bulky and more flattering. It is the same method used to make the tung pajama. Hope that helps.

I am not sure if you are familiar with a long running program in the US - and indeed globally - called ‘ Say Yes to the Dress ‘. The premise of the show is that a bride to be comes to a bridal shop to purchase her wedding dress. There is a NYC version and an Atlanta version. These shows are hugely popular and have spawned many copies in other countries.
I am confident that both of you can be the hosts of the Pakistani version of this show. I strongly urge both of you to check out the ‘ Say Yes to the Dress ‘ episodes on RUclips. You should see both the NYC and Atlanta programs.
You can become the desi version of the show. I think you will be a roaring success.

In Istanbul and middle eastern countries they always serve water in little glasses with coffee and tea Pakistani should adapt this custom, great ideas comes from every where !
My family is from Lucknow. A few things to note. None of the Ghararas being sold are real ghararas. These are hybrid tighter painchas and the ghair is very frilly! the shirts should actually be shorter! It does not matter what your weight is. Ghararas are timeless and meant (like saris) for all body types. But they are usually worn with simta howa bun (joora). Hair is never let flying in the air (see tabish I rhymed too). Komal has done a terrible job with that gharara. Part of the problem is that the shirt is longer than it should be
I bought the gharara naimal is wearing from Haseens. And it was AMAZING. Heavy work, great stitching in such an affordable price.

Kinza has always done monotonous type of roles and her dialogue delivery makes her roles look of the same type. She needs to pick a variety of roles to prove her versatility. This is the reason she has not been given any extraordinary role by any super director so far.

I shopped from them and I knew what I'm shopping, so I suggest you amina to buy dresses from them or visiti shop to see the fabric they used, and the quality of work on dresses. The fabric is of very low quality and so does the the embroidery and embalishment. But stiching is good. Overall in this price range it is ok. It is not like we are getting someting tooo good in this price range. I understand u collaborated with the brand so u have to tell audience their positives more but I think that should be realistic. Agr mene dress khareeda na hota and sirf pictures daikhi hoti to me kehti wow yar.

Just to add we do have some western influence as we were a British colony. Like the saree blouse is heavily influenced by the Victorians.

Young thin girls have the world open to them, they can wear anything- who cares. But bring in saba Faisal, savera Nadeem, this the age group that is so completely under-represented even though ironically we have the spending power. So why are they not selling to us?
