Loved this video! ... I liked some of the extra touches: woodsplitting, and parking in garage. -and lack of a boring monologue. ... I enjoyed this at 4a.m. in New England in Feb. :)
In a high snow situation like this, you should consider hitting it first with the snow blower in the rise up position, then backing up and finishing on the lower position.
Considering the buddy heater for my john Deere 310a backhoe with a vented plexiglass cab..does the pilot light go out easily with vibration? I would build be bracket for it to keep it in place.
Just starting my 455 was enough to put the heaters pilot light out. There is an anti tip switch in the heater that can be disabled easily. It's not very safe with that switch disabled though, so beware you've been warned. Works good just so long as your not using it an an air tight cab, and you have it rigged do that it can't tip over.
Thanks for the concern, If it was a hard side cab I wouldn't try it, but the soft side cab isn't sealed up very tight. The radiator, and fan assembly on that tractor sucks air thru the cab like crazy also, even tho I've got 3/4 of it blocked off with cardboard.
small SEALED cab it might be in issue, but those style cab have alot of wind blowing throw them, its mainly for keeping blow back snow out of your face. Just look at the bottom of it when he climbs out, snow covered an its not from his feet.
Great honest video. Seems like the blower was maxed out with that deep snow on the first pass. How deep can it handle before you have issues? and have to

+madogblue The two stage blowers don't really have limitations other than going too fast and killing the machine. After the first pass I only use half of the blower because it doesn't work the machine as hard, and it doesn't drool out the side as much. In the spring my driveway likes to drain through my shop so I will blow the slush that has accumulated next to my shop to divert the water. It even blows slushy wet snow okay, but you do need to slow down a bit for that or it will plug if you push it too hard.
Hey where did you get the cab portion for the 455
The mouse didn't go thru the snowblower did it? That would have been one wake up call...
Beast of a garden tractor.

Nice video. Just be careful with that heater you are running. In that small of a cab it wont take long for CO to become a issue.
What do you mean?
Carbon monoxide poisoning. That heater off gasses co. Ice fishermen use those heaters in their shanties and if not vented enough it will poison you.

How does a log splitter throw snow🤔. The splitter isn’t even a Deere 👎
That's an awesome machine you got there. .. ford the work of a 100 men. Imagine doing that by hand lol impossible!
Why did you fast forward, I would have watched the whole thing! Great job though!
