Suzuki GS500F K7 Starting problem April 2017

When I came to start my bike I got a clicking noise and the motor wouldn't spin. I checked the relay/solenoid which was good so I next shorted the relay terminals. Nothing only a lot of sparks which told me there was a short somewhere so I checked the motor direct to the battery. Still a lot of sparking Hmmm! Definitely a short. I took off the motor cover and bingo! I'd left off the terminal rubber cover and the starter motor cover was touching the terminal creating a short. Found the cover and fitted.
