FOR REAL THO these exercises on patreon are invaluable. something finally clicked doing these, i was really having trouble esp with value. my portraits have come a LONG WAY since lol. still have a lot of practice to go, but i’ll get there. Thanks coach, you’re the best ❤
I started doing this with pictures using the edit tool on my phone on things I want to paint and it helps me figure out shading ahead of time with what works and what doesn’t.

There are some great apps that give head planes too and u can control lighting

I think that picture is a bit confusing. Because there are 2 light sources. One straight on from the right, and another backlit on the left.

It seems adobe is now looking at everybody’s everything to train their Al. As of last week If you make it on photoshop, you don’t own it
For simple stuff like this I like Paint 3d, (usually comes with Windows 10, but can download for free). For more complex stuff, Gimp is swell (and free), it has many features and lot's of menu so a bit of a learning curve but has tons filters, color change options etc.
