Thank god we are getting a baby proofing, sick of toddlers running around the yard. Especially on large cottage living based households when they are in like, cow pens 💀
I'm honestly so happy that they added a c section scar cause I had one with my son and honestly can't wait to re create my family on the sims down to every detail
I love the word "stork bite" like it's so fitting For those that don't know. Some babies are born with pink/red/ brown mark that just fade away after some time. Super natural. But we named it stork bite because of the tale that storks deliver the baby and so the stork have accidentally grabbed the baby while flying down 🥺
sometimes it doesn’t disappear as well!! usually it ends up getting smaller, my cousin had a huge stork bite when she was born and now she has a smaller one in the same spot
I wonder if they’ll have angel kiss birthmarks. Those are birthmarks that leave a red or pink spot on a baby’s forehead. I have one, my mom told me when I was little that it was from an angel kissing me before I was born. I’d love if you could have that birthmark for any age sim. My birthmark was supposed to disappear when I was about a year old but it never did.
I love that one of the traits is sunny! I was often called a sunny child but i did not know it was so common that the sims is adding it into the game! idk wy but it makes me so happy :)
I love the portable crib! Camping trips can be more realistic now instead of just having a random bassinette!! And I also imagine (with the get together club feature) maybe parenting groups where parents and kids meet up? They can have the little play-pens and the portable cribs 😁
I'm so excited that the sims is finally giving the base game the attention that that deserves! I got the base game in October when it was free and I did have any packs, looking back now with packs, the base game is not very good. I feel like you almost need expansion packs to play and not get bored!
agreed! if i had to actually pay for all of my packs i probably wouldn't have half as many and wouldnt enjoy the game as much :( thank god for pirating lol
They do that on purpose so you spend more money. Of course the base game is crap and they know it.they give it away for free because they know people will buy packs for it
Same. Especially recycled from different purchasable packs but for infants it’s in basegame, but for toddlers these clothes you have to buy a pack to get.
@@MaureenLongoriaTheOneAndOnly honestly though, i feel like the toddlers were completely ignored in the cc. they are barely recognized in many packs as well, abd their hair options look like they got cut by something shorter than them. like its so choppy for what?
yes! I didn't see anyone talking about it till this comment, they're being lazy as usual with babies/toddler. They make very cute CAS for adults but other life stages always get the same boring stuff.
I thought the regular birthing process when you go to the hospital in base game was supposed to be a c-section so this is nice. I think the science baby should take a lil longer and maybe have a chance for the sims to get rejected in the process to make it more realistic. I also hope there are more baby-to-baby interactions like initiating pretend play or becoming besties
I actually feel like the sims team have smashed this update, I LOVE the idea of a science baby, I have PCOS and I can imagine for some people having to go through the sims pregnancy stages could be a little triggering. Not only that, the idea of same sex couples being able to have a child that is genetically connected to them is so cute. I love how inclusive the sims are becoming. Well done sims team! :)
I don't love that the science baby makes it only usable through surrogacy. I get that that would make sense for some Sims or some storylines, but I wish you could choose more whether it's through a surrogate or your sim gets pregnant. I also wish there was a bit of a waiting period even if it is surrogacy, like you get updates or can go to appointments with the Sim carrying the baby (those could be rabbit holes but they'd add depth to the story)
i read somewhere that they might've done that a small and quick way of getting a baby since its illegal in some places, so that's probably their way of including it for everywhere. (there are also mods where in depth surrogacy is possible btw, make sure to check them out!)
@@ghostin3992 ok, I can get that angle. I have mods for that but I was just hoping that people could access that in more depth even if they couldn't have mods. I hope that makes sense, but thanks for reaching out to share that bit of information
Not sure what you mean by "only usable through surrogacy". I didn't get any impression that was ever implied. It's just a possible roleplay scenario it could be used for. As the video showed and explained, you pick a genetic partner and the baby is created in a lab, and they come back with the baby without anyone being pregnant. It's more like eugenics, to be honest. Two gene donors are selected (regardless of sex or relationship) and a baby is manufactured. Personally, I feel like it robs same sex couples of the pregnancy experience. It's no different in terms of gameplay than adoption except you get to choose the biological parents. I would rather it was more like IVF where they choose a donor and come back pregnant rather than instant build-a-baby.
Can't wait for the cc creators to go crazy with this. Luckily I've uninstalled the sims 4(due to exams) and deleted all my mods so hopefully I don't need to deal with any mods breaking :D
i cant wait for the new sims 4 players to be able to expierence this without having to wait as long as we did, its truly amazing how much the sims is expanding

I wonder if you will be able to wash infants in the sink, like you can with toddlers, but with an actual animation of them sitting in the sink, that would just be straight up awesome!
This is amazing, I'm glad they added it too base game and so much too! It will definitely add more to do than just wait for the baby to age up and just feed and change it.
i absolutly love that they added that option. i feel like it adds so much more in roleplays, and it gives people a more creative way to display themselves and recreate their families and stories
I've been a bit skeptical about this, but I think I'm starting to warm up to this add-on and update (as long as it doesn't come with too many bugs). And the birthmarks are a wonderful addition. Now if only we could get a bear paw shaped birthmark on the arm. 😃
I have a feeling it will be pretty buggy. That’s why I made a test family so that if it is super buggy it won’t bother me as much. I have a mom, dad, child, toddler, dog, kitten, and just made them have a baby that I’m going to age up to infant. Kind of wish I knew about the newborn update before I made them have another baby.

No new bassinets in base game until now, no, but several have been added with various packs. Base game came with one regular bassinet and one alien bassinet, but others were added with Vampires, Werewolves, and Realm of Magic for a total of 5 (unless there are any in the few packs I haven't gotten yet. So excited!!!
I'm doing the 100 baby challenge rn and I'm literally so excited to try all this stuff this is gonna be hectic. 💀
i’m kind of sad we aren’t getting baby changing stations in base game but oh well,, this is still a good step up from sims ^^
I am so happy that a big change/update is coming to The Sims 4… for free!
I just started playing Sims 4 for free I downloaded it and I'm liking it so far I just need to learn how to do a lot of more things on there
Isn't the Sims 4 actually amazing? There's SO MUCH gameplay and so many objects to play with. Most people aren't going to be even able to play with every thing there is to play with.
I am gonna hopefully finish my alphabet challenge before this update. Seems it would be longer for aging up
One of my daughters had a storkbite birthmark on her forhead. They usually fade as they get older. Like right now she's 6 and it not noticeable anymore.
There is going to be a huge Sim baby boom on March 14h
I’m so excited about the infant update as soon as I got on sims 4 I made them have a baby but made sure they was ready 😂😂😂
