Good one u really adapted well to the vietnamese lifestyle and eating and drinking better than most westerners do in se-asia.
I prefer local food here in bangkok after 15 years living and working here and its not about the money.
Heck i can live a 5 star luxury lifestyle if i WANT.. i have a western salary working here..
Its about the high quality and feeling supporting the local foodstalls streetsellers and small "hole in the wall restaurants" and people watch meeting people different flavors and feeling the pulse in the place/city

@@newplacenewfood101 just avoid the usual central tourist streets and areas with expensive crappy food and scams and live near a bts or mrt station 15-20 minutes from the absolute citycenter and Bangkok will treat u very good .
I rent a condo 3 min walk from Sutthisan mrt station ..not many westerners live here most working middleclass thaifamilys and the local night market is gold..as the morning market 10 min away ..
