The Reflections series truly is the greatest one on one interview series in my opinion. I always tune in and enjoy listening to the stories and insight that these things give. Thorin is a top of the class interviewer whom has mastered his craft; something almost no one can say that they've done, or have even come close to.
Never heard an interviewer that can host a show with a lot of shitalk, banter and all that stuff and make another show with another angle like this, more personal and reflective. Don't know how he pulls this stuff but it's amazing
I love the point around 4:35. I'm a basketball referee and there a lot of (older) refs that grow animosity towards these young basketball players because the players complained about calls or something. When kids make mistakes, first of all, it's an opportunity for them to learn from their mistakes and second of all, we have to be the adults here and not harbour that animosity.

I feel like honestly that wouldn’t even be the most surprising one, lol. What would blow my mind the most would be if at some point we were to get Reflections with Rekkles.
You never forget your past struggles, they are ingrained into you. Homelessness is something that few people actually realize what it does to you mentally. I can fully see why LS is how he is and wouldn't hold it against him one bit, he knows himself better than anyone he knows what he need to do to avoid the past repeating. He learned from his struggles, that's why he is successful today. I don't particularly agree with LS's takes on a lot of stuff, but i can admire his resolve and perseverance nonetheless.
Adding to that if someone with as much challenges as LS had in his life then pursues a career where he has to deal with so many attacks, people hate commenting, trying to call him out etc. all while public opinion is one of the main influences on his success you can fully understand why he comes off as very difficult, sometimes condescending, unstable etc. Sometimes he is really hard to watch bc he gets heated over nothing, malds like crazy etc. but people hating on him wouldve thrown themselves off a bridge long ago if they had his past and mental struggles
Damn, I remember hating LS for the cheating shit. Honestly one of the worst things you can do alongside matchfixing. As he said, not being able to understand how fucking young he was and how he understood his mistake and became better is truly something to laugh at people for. Hats to LS.
It's sad that League, a game with so many champions, items and abilities, is paradoxically suffering from no one wanting to experiment limits of the game because some vague pro-player authority that says something's not possible. It could be a syndrome of having a game with frequent patches, but just imagine if you'd actually have pros spending time perfecting the nitty gritty stuff, I'm sure it'd lead to some meta-breaking discoveries. Like ffs, StarCraft Broodwar had one of the most game-breaking PvT strategies (cluster recall) discovered in 2018, TWENTY years after the release of the game and 6 years after the KeSpa scene was already gone. Let's hope things can change for the better in the LoL scene.

You'd think that players are like headcoach are the one to talk over the matters like team being at the same page when it comes to decision making in draft AND in game while the rest of coaching staff in big team is supposed to... you know, inovate. Pros have to practice 'the meta', they can't play 20 games of every single champion in the game every patch... should THIS be an actual role on the team for people to inovate shit like this? Finding counters so pros get 'rough ideas to test out' ready to go.. they can't do it themselves mostly. Shouldnt optimal jg clearing or spotting patterns that are possible to abuse on enemy teams be a job like that?
That’s what you call actual professional team sports, or at least not league. From what I have heard, read, and first hand saw is that there is no helping league system and outlook on infrastructure as a team sport. Possibly because of solo queue influence, the league community IQ at least in NA regarding professional play seems to be very low, which doesn’t help grow great talent. Not saying im some amazing challenger but, been playing or watching since season 2 and it honestly feels like game and strategy has changed but quality of players/coach and their mentality hasn’t grown. Not to say there aren’t people like LS, but it seems the whole lcs system feels like it’s dragging it’s feet to grow.

His objective track record as a member of organizations is failure after failure due to his unprofessionalism and psychological fragility. Hard to watch any professional of any field indulge in this sort of coping.
