This footage was shot back in July, 2004 at Gopal Godse's residence in Pune, India. Behind the scenes footage including an Interview with his wife and some questions from people in present at that time.
This family's service and dedication to the cause of nation is beyond any words
Is this interviewer misinformed ? How can he ask such a silly question to Sindhu Godse that why didn't you asked your daughters to join army? Indian Army opened its doors for women in 1992 only. There were no recorded instances of women joining the army prior to 1992.
Gopal Godse has served in British Indian Army (Indian Army Ordnance Corps) , he was deployed at Iraq during WW II in 1944. His daughters Asilata (aka Himani Savarkar) and Viddyulata were indeed soldier's daughter and they were raised like one.
Exactly..also it is their decision if they have to join army or no..if u r a freedom fighter's family , doesn't mean you have to join army for proving something..y is the interviewer so disrespectful and it's like he is not interviewing but interrogating!

Firstly salute to Mr. Gopal Godse sir for revealing the real secrets, plannings, visions behind d Gandhi-vadh....n i am quite influenced by them.
Secondly the interviewer should have kept his senses alive while debating with a lady who had sacrifised her happy life n chose the hardships of bringing their daughters all alone....these are noble ppl and deserve all respect
I am sure 90 crore Hindus have immensely respect these patriots. The interviewer belongs to communists or jihadists mindset... not sure he has any respect for these legends. I think he is not educated and therefore he has committed grave mistakes in interview innocently? He is a very local chap. The thought and ideology is now understood by every Indian. They will definitely get their due. The time is coming close...

I saw all three parts of this interview. interviewer used the word about Mrs. Gopal Godse " heroine" how he dare to call such word against this patriotic women .
I think interviewer father & mother has not teach him any manners in his childhood. in the last part he told to take a footage of godse's bathroom, is he coming to take a interview or doing just fun of Gopal godse.

The interviewer is taking Attenborough's movie as reference for his knowledge. That shows his knowledge is abysmal. Anyways, Gopal ji's unedited statements have been shared shows the Interviewer's intention of being fair.
Not to excused myself but to make clear to everyone interested on the life of Gandhiji, I can say that my intention was really to search for all side and the truth behind Indian Independence and Mahatma Gandhi life. Unfortunately Dr. Rebello hijacked the interview and didn’t let the old man to talk by interfering all the time...
Any way ,it is fact that Dr Ambedkar was happy to listen about killing of Gandhiji and was eager to fight case of godse ,simply great

This interviewer seems to be an Gandhi fan then why the hell he is interviewing Godhse family.......He seems to be an idiot. If he like Gandhi then he should go and interview the people related to Gandhi...........Godhse family have already gone through lot from 1948 till today. They should not be treated as this black fellow is doing. An interviewer should always be neutral and not partial while interviewing.

Salute to the Legend... take a bow... All this years we are taught about Gandhi in our syllabus.. No question Gandhi was a great leader.... but his few decisions are a matter of introspection... We were told who killed Gandhi but we were not told why he killed Gandhi, becoz it was not in their favor at that point, everything about Nathuram Godse was classified for 30 years. I am glad the facts are coming out, we know who are our real hero`s and bout their scarifies.
The Godse brothers were true patriots who sacrificed their lives for safeguarding the future of the Hindu rashtra. Nehru was a traitor who cooperated with the British government when they carried out the gruesome vivisection of our motherland which resulted in a million murders and rapes and perpetual enimity between Hindus and Muslims who had lived together for a thousand years. Muslims served in the armies of the Vijayanagar empire, as well as the Maratha and Sikh armies, as Hindus served in senior positions under Muslim rulers. Shivaji's father was a senior commander of the Bijapur Sultanat, while Hemu was the commander and prime minister of the Afghan rulers who fought the Mughals. Raja Todar mall as well as Birbal and Sawai Man Singh were employed by the mughals in the highest positions. The British on the other hand looked down on Indians and refused to accept them as social equals.
@cooldude6712 Thank you for your comment. This is exactly why I uploaded the entire interview in the first place. My only attention was to show the people what Mr. Godse answered to the man who believed he was ready to interview the old man on my expense. I become only a witness behind the camera. Nevertheless Dr. Rebello welcome me to his home for which I'm tankful but it doesn't changes the fact that he ruined the interview.

Taking somebody life is a crime, on that I agreed, regardless if was a Gandhiji or anybody else life. But it is only “normal “ in Indian society to assassinated their Prime Ministers...otherwise they can’t become a saints, can they?..I do agree that the Partition was inevitable but so the Independence of India with or without Mahatma Gandhi, who become a perfect puppet behind the British plot to separate and weakened India.

How shameful of these interviewers to use the word "Cheap" to describe Nathuram Godse ji's act. They should really educate themselves of the reasons that lead to Gandhi's assassination. I highly doubt that they had even little bit decency of hearing Nathuram Godse Ji's last words in the court.

This person is not asking the questions seriously. Why should the soldier's daughter be soldiers??? what about children of soldiers today ?? Are they all in the Army?? Ha!Ha! the interview was Good idea but messed it. And we respect this family jocking like that with Sindhutai?? They are too decent to throw him out.
In my modest opinion in the end of his life he probably regretted to some point about all damage he have had done, but it was already too late. The Godse’s Brothers and company did not believed so as Gandhi was going for his next hungry strike in order to gave those 800,000 000 rupees to Pakistani Government. Politicians are politicians , they are never elected to serve the common people, but the people of interest and Gandhiji was not exception to the rule.

Killing Gandhi Jee was definitely a cheap act. Partition was inevitable at the time of Independence and Mahatma did a lot to save this partition. These Godse brothers were mentally obsessed and they were mentally ill with extreme Hinduism. He is talking about Ambedkar in this video and challenging his individual integrity as he always respected Gandhi jee.

@MrThepawan I would respect both Gandhi jee and Godse jee! Much has been written about Gandhijee's greatness, so I need not elaborate more on that. But I suggest you also read up "sacrifice of 55 crores" with an unbiased, unprejudiced mind, I am sure you will appreciate why killing took place. I cannot say act was justified, neither that nathuram jee was too happy to do it, but as said, you will see why he thought it was something that was need of those times. Please research, you will see!

Thanks Ivan for bringing us the interview. It certainly highlights cogent thought behind the Gandhi assassination to those who haven't read enough about it. Unfortunately the interviewer lacked knowledge, common courtesy and respect and based his questions on movies and gossip, rather than evidence.
They are however some interested comments and facts that I’ve let in the interview because that was the only way to make it public, especially after the dead of the Gopal Godse. My only intention at that point was to let Indian people and everyone else interested on the topic to have his opinion. It is the second ever interview with the old man and from historical point of view fulfills its purpose.
