- Today I tell you about my CM16 Raider 2.0 used for Airsoft (mainly CQB), I give my honest thoughts and opinion on the rifle after having it for just over 6 months. I go through the accessories I have added to the rifle.

you are 100% right about the stock mag being crap. I have the same gun but in tan and also have the same sight.

If you want you can get a black dust cover to match the color of your gun, instead of the grey one the 2.0 comes with.

Your gun looks awesome mate!! Definitely want to get this for my first gun, just trying to decide if I get two-tone now, or wait until I get my UKARA. Only issue is that the sites near me aren’t allowing rentals during this pandemic so I can’t go and play unless I buy my own gun sadly. What are your thoughts/opinion/advice on this? Similar to what you said in the video, I want mine to look cool. I wanna kit it out with sight, suppressor, grip, etc. Would it ruin the look if I got a two-tone gun? What do you think I should do? Don’t want to wait for ages until rentals are available:(

Hey thanks for the really awesome comment 🙂. My advice would be to wait on your UKARA, the reason for this is that you get a much better range of guns to choose from. I know it doesn’t sound like a good reason but if you are going for a look it helps and as far as I’m aware if you wanted to paint your two tone fully black it’s illegal. Please don’t quote me on that, it’s just what I have been told by other airsoft players to a few places I have been. All in all it is tour choice, like you said, with times the way they are it will take longer to get the gun you want. So if you are fully committed and desperate to play then why not. Thank you for the feed back and of course the sub 🙂 it all helps make us a better channel.
@@c.a.ccornishairsoftcouple2712 don't quote me but I *think* you're alright to paint a two tone black once you get your ukara defence. There is quite a bit of ambiguity in the rules but you could always check with your local site or store to make sure you can do it

i just bought my first airsoft rifle te cm16 raider 2.0 in tan with black
Had to subscribe as there is not many British people who do airsoft gun reviews, definitely gonna get this gun. Only problem is that I wont be able to play enough to get a ukara because I’m only 14 and Ik I won’t go like every month but the two tone doesn’t look that bad.
I was thinking of buying this gun I was wondering if you can put a tracer unit on this gun. Thank you for the info already on the gun
I have the xcortech xt301 mk2 on mine. 14mm ccw. Works great.
So one problem on m CM16 Raider 2.0 is that it shoots than it stops after a while. Do I have to keep winding the mag because I know some people have the same problem and I wanted to know if anyone else has this same problem where it shoots then nothing comes out and you have to wind up the mag.
The mag spring needs to be wound up a few times while using

It is ~300mm in length. The exposed barrel starting at the end of the handguard is roundabouts 60-62mm

What is the top rail system? Is it RIS 20mm, Mlok or Keymod? And what's the bottom and side rail system?

Im using a 7cell NiMH battery, which is 1.2v 2200mAh per cell. To charge it i have a intelligente auto-stop charger.

Hello it's me again! I got the gun and it preforms like a beast. With the right hop up and bb's it's surprisingly accurate too. I really liked the handstop on yours though and I was wondering if you remember the specific handstop it is? Thank you

Glad you enjoy the gun, it is a beast for sure :). The handstop i have is a ‘Trirock Hand Stop Aluminium Anodized for both keymod M-lok handgaurd system’ . Thats word for word off of amazon :) i hope you find it and find it as comfortable as i do.

Tbh nothing, im not that bad tbh and the eyepro i use seems to do me just fine. I know you can get inserts which i fine other airsofts use and i know a few which use contacts. Truly its what ever you feel makes it comfortable for you

How is it working now?
Is this a replica off of a other airsoft ?
Sometimes I see these guns with orange tips and sometimes without. I would prefer no orange tip.
Kevin and Vicky McLaughlin McLaughlin in the UK orange tips are not a requirement but places like USA I believe it is (don’t quote me on this) but I would say it has something to do with the gun laws in the different countries. The orange tip makes it easier to know it is not real.

Hey thanks for the question. It’s a Hi-cap M4 mag with a wheel/cog system on the bottom to push the BB’s up to fire.

A fellow glasses wearer! Can I ask what you use for eyepro since you have glasses?
For airsoft I don't wear my glasses. I'm short sighted and tbh only really wear them when my eyes strain to much. But I know u can get attachments for a lot of eyepro for lenses so there is a great choice out there
Purchased this gun a few days ago but it hasn't came in yet. I heard that the original orange flash hider is hard to get off of the original raider. How hard is it for the raider 2.0?
Hey thanks for ur question :). At first it can be a bit tight but after a few goes it i found that it just screws of easily. So you shouldnt have a issue with it 🙂 i hope this helps

Looking at getting this gun for my 11 year old, is it very heavy? Also you could just replace the spring if you want it to shoot further I’ve been told 🙂
gregggiddens Not very heavy at all. Obviously its gets heavier the more u put on it.
As for the spring yes I'm aware of this and its something I’m going to considered doing.

Where do I find the mag you bought
I want to start airsofting and ive been looking at a few guns now but the question is that is polymer plastic durable? What does it feel like or does it feel cheap or what?
A fair question which I can only answer with a no. It’s very durable as long as you look after it and don’t trample on it or smash it into walls. Handle it with respect and it will last. It’s usually non moving parts that are made of this plastic and it can help with the weight as all metal is definitely heavier. We have a variety or guns from rifles to shotguns to pistols etc and none feel cheap. We have trialled a fee before buying and some did feel to light and that made then feel cheap but that was on some of the pistols more than anything, again though it was maybe 1 in 5. Hope you enjoy playing!

About to purchase one of these myself mate, does it come with sling loops?
the collapsable stock has a hole that you can fit a 3 point sling in. If you want a standard sling then you could tie the other side to the grates in the barrel

Is this gun electric, co2, gas, e.t.c? If it’s electric, how long does it last and what battery should I buy?
I own this and it is electric , you should buy a butterfly crane battery (the battery that has 2 dangly things) and they last around 7 hours depending how much u shoot ... probably even more

My bbs refuse to feed, I would really like to fix this, any suggestions?
Ja Ba thank you for asking, neither of us are super technical but from general experience all we could suggest is checking there is nothing stuck in the main barrel, making sure your mag is in securely and maybe check the mag in another gun to rule out the mag being an issue. Miner tip when pulling the trigger always make sure its a full pull back, sometimes short pulls can cause BBs to only feed through partially causing them to gradually stack up and jam. Or take it to a technician who can dismantle it if you are not confident to do it and see what a professional has to say ✌️🙂

Ja Ba sorry to hear that, get a load of stan mags and rig yourself up with them instead, usually 3-4 is plenty due to game lengths. We can play an hour long game and 4 is usually enough. Hope you get it working again so you can have more Airsoft fun! 👍

@@joetatle in the UK they don’t come with orange tips. So removing something like that I would not know how to and due to legal reasons you probably shouldn’t.
@@joetatle you probably have/can unscrew the whole muzzle to reach the thread of the barrel. Cant confirm but thats how it is for most g&g guns.
Also removing the orange tip isnt illegal in the us, its only mandatory during the delivery, once its yours, you can do as you please
