This was unheard of in USA at the time, an exposé of ”OLD” money New York, the most exclusive bunch of people to ever exist. Truman sat on a golden ticket and cashed it in but didn’t collect the reward since he didn’t publish the entire manuscript titled “Answered Prayers” before he died.

He never had a book or book-in-the-making for "Answered Prayers". All he ever wrote were the supposed chapters her sent in to magazines. Only his mega diehard fans believe that there's a manuscript laying around somewhere. Even the passages he did write of it read like a college English student who pulled an all-nighter for his homework due 1st thing in the morning.

They need to take all of these wonderful actresses and redo, "The Woman" and set it in the 30's as usual.

I read la cote Basque, it was a terrible bore. Over explained in some parts, it read like a bottom feeder writing about a society he was desperate to get into lol.

Right, he was so contented and thought he was one of those born into and decided to screw over the women who made him and were the keys for him and expected them to "understand" after he'd just ruined their lives and even killed someone with his salacious lies. His voice and mannerisms fit a man who shldnt be entertained.

I remember reading it after waiting for it to come out. Around fifty years ago. After finishing it I thought what was the big deal

Seeing the show as soon as it's available in Sydney - I need to know if it's genuine or if she's getting this from somewhere else. She's panicking more than anyone else here.

Is the Calista character's hat and hair accurate, hair down with such a hat doesn't seem right for the era or a well dressed woman as lee, i may be wrong ,but when i see a woman wear a wide brim hat with hair down it says to ..." i dont know what im doing "

no you're right on! short hair or hair up are more suitable for hats during that period.

Lee Radziwell did wear her hair like that.

The characters are based off real women, lee the real woman behind the character, always wore her hat like that. Not everyone even in those days, which isnt too far ago, the late 50 to 60s to 70s followed as rigid fashion and etiquette rules as one might think, especially someone of her standing as a fashionista with her own look.

what a sad depressing commentary on people who have money and no class, no drive to better the world, no ambition except to put on a show. sheesh. I have better things to do with my time.
