find your self esteem sweety, its just as intriguing to hear what you have to say, listen to the music, make the music, but never ever live by the music, its only music
Eddie seems to be the kind of guy that we will always care for and enjoy listening to. I am proud to be a fan of his and so enjoy watching him perform and love listening to him talk. One day I would be thrilled to meet him. What a guy for all of us fans. He is amazing!
I've been a Cubs fan my whole life, 30 plus years when 2016 arrived. All the time imagining all the different scenarios of what or how i'd finally celebrate it.... Big party at home , Bar, etc...The day it happened ( rain delay aided ) I saw it alone at home lol, only scenario i never saw growing up LOL I LOVE THE CUBS !!! Lets get another one
Really a fantastic interview guys! Joe you are great my friend! My favorite rock band of all time...thanks Ed for sharing your passion and gift of song brother!!
I’ve been to downtown Chi-Town near the Wrigley Field entrance. It is so cool to see a stadium 🏟 right there in the downtown area and all the fun bars and pubs around there. Great atmosphere! And this was even when they weren’t winning. It didn’t matter. Chicago people love their Cubbies. They are loyal and true fans. Not bandwagon jumpers. Same with Bears fans. They stay loyal even when the teams losing. I respect and admire that! Downtown Chicago is a lot of fun and that deep dish pizza 🍕 is the best. I love downtown Chicago! Good times! 👏🏻🎸😎
Simplicidade,.. Humildade.. Realista... Amoroso. Pai.. Familia.. Vc é um ser humano. Maravilhoso.. Te amo. Eddie Vedder❤❤❤❤varginha..MG. Brasil. 😀😀😀😀😀❤❤💋💋
We have lost Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington. . .to say a few, to drugs and suicide. But I'm pretty sure we won't lose our Eddie. He's a sweet, humble and straight edge man. He is such an incredible talent and I'm pretty sure he is a happy person. Love you Eddie Vedder, so much 💜💙
es el conciertom mezclado con ensayos, historias de eddie vedder relacionadas con chicago, entrevistas de los integrantes estuvo chido la verdad duro 2 horas.
A gente idealiza a quem gosta. Eu gosto de você Eddie, do seu jeito simples sempre com blusões soltos, sorriso tímido e olhos brilhantes de azul! Talvez não seja nada disso, também não quero saber, se posso idealizar, quero acreditar q você é maravilhoso! Beijos daqui do Brasil !
I remember Pearl Jam did a show around 1999-2000 that I went to in St. Louis. Eddie would give us the box scores of the MLB playoff games in between songs and he made some playful remark about the Cubs beating our beloved Cardinals. The crowd, the same crowd he had in the palm of his hand all night, started booing and jeering. It was all in good fun though. It was no Gun’s N Roses riot but it was memorable.
One of the Best male singers of all time.Top 3 easy. U might agree or disagree, doesn't really matter cuz at the end of the day this is a fact. Some might say, including myself.Eddie has a voice of an angel. As gay as that sounds, its true.A real God given talent
I have seen Pearl Jam 4 or 5 times in Missoula, Seattle and Spokane. They are better live than they are on their records. Eddie has always been very nice, and connected to the audience a lot. It is so horrible what happened at Roskilde (several people got trampled in the crowd), because they really care about their fans. I have seen Eddie several times in Seattle when R.E.M. were there. Both PJ and R.E.M. were at a charity show with a lot of other artists. A couple of days later R.E.M. did a small show at The Crocodile, a club Peter Buck's wife owned. Buck (no relations to Joe) lived in Seattle for years. Eddie came up on stage several times with a tray of drinks to give to all the guys. Once he came out with a tray and stood right in front of me. The person next to me got one but just as I reached for one, he pulled it away and gave what was left to one of the guys. He came out later in the show and did a couple of songs with R.E.M., including ones they had done together at the big charity concert a couple of days before. I don't like sports much, but I think I might get this. I like baseball and basketball more than football, which seems long and boring and brutal to me.
I went to both shows and I've see PJ a bunch of times all over the country. There was something different that weekend that i can't explain. Those two show were like no others I've seen. It was something special that i think about daily.
Other than Eddie being a huge Cubs fan and the Cubs winning it all that year I don't know. I've got the soundtrack and it's just more live PJ, to which you can never go wrong deciding to listen to. I don't see that as being historical. As much as I love the band this is just a money grab. And they've gotten my money for the vinyl. I'm sure I'll purchase the DVD as well. If I can find a theater showing it still I'll probably get a couple tickets. If you've never been to a Pearl Jam show then you just don't understand and you should get to one as soon as possible.
First would be that no band has ever played more than one show at Wrigley within the same tour, and PJ did two that week. Also because the Cubs hadn't won the World Series for about a hundred years but they did win in 2016, a month after the PJ concerts.
Eddie knows hes the man so its easy to play humble , I love pearl jam and I love eddie, but lets not idolize this man , cause you and I are just as real, trust me , he doesn't need his ego jacked off by us everyday people, you can look in awe , but I choose to look and think ya man, you fooled em all go eddie
I wish Eddie would go back to the 'anti-establishment' person he was in the 90s. Back then he used to obsess over playing cool music nobody ever heard before. He would promote new albums with his Monkeywrench Radio broadcasts and feature underground artists that weren't getting any airplay. His 1994-1995 post concert pirate radio broadcasts were the coolest thing ever. After PJ finished a concert, Eddie would retreat to a van and tell stories and spin records on 89.1 FM that most people had never heard before. I have collected many of these broadcasts and each one is worth listening to. I'm sure Eddie has always been a Cubs fan, but this over the top cult-like obsession with this team is really ridiculous.
your opinion is fine, but Im guessing you're not a sports fan...which is also fine...but as a starving artist & huge sports fan I can say that u have NO idea what you're talking about...
As a huge Pearl Jam fan and a huge Indians fan this sucks but is also awesome lol. My first show was 2018 in Wrigley and they brought out the trophy and I loved that the Cubs won it but it still sucked. Fuckin 3-1.
Eddie Vedder looks like a mix of Gerard Butler, Tom Hardy, Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Clive Owen, Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe and John C. Reilly
He still had one of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen
He sure does!! 😍
I love Eddie, but he looks like a neanderthal lol
@@gabrisk9 no one knows what a Neanderthal looks like so I find it hard to believe that's what he looks like...
@@mattysee24 what?
@@gabrisk9 Yes... everyone looks like a neanderthal?
You know hes a good singer when his natural talking voice sounds good. Naturally gifted voice for sure.
Always seems so humble. I am super proud to be a fan of one of the greatest bands still "Alive" ;)

Like ya 1902. But 1948.. 1995 1997, the Indians have been so close so many times without Chicago money. We were just happy to be there lol
Went 2 Wrigley in early 90s and my buddy and I were let inn 2and had the whole thing 2 ourselves!...Wow!...

My belief, eddy vedder knows , speaks the definition , becoming of words , the fact is so cool !! Not so miseptive.
Eddie has a great reading voice

2019
Eddie seems to be a nice guy. Anybody knows him personally?
Hi, can somebody give some context on why this is a historic concert? (It's a honest question, by the way)
I went to both shows and I've see PJ a bunch of times all over the country. There was something different that weekend that i can't explain. Those two show were like no others I've seen. It was something special that i think about daily.

"historic" is a bit of a reach, yer right...other than the fact that EVERY time u see them yer seeing the best in the world?! :)
Johnny Khomlately Phish first played 2 nights in June 2016.
Good to see Eddie Vedder drop the weird grunge garbage and be a normal guy who loves a sports team.
I wish he was as passionate for the Mariners :(
WE BELONG 2 GUEEEDER
Babe....my love for you keeps untouched...
Joe Rogan needs to do a dual interview with Maynard and ol' Eddie
👌
Eddie Vedder looks just like Charlie Chaplin.
Eddies from San Diego right? Cubs fan? Alrighty then.
ayr1225 he's actually from Chicago
That's not Joe Buck! The Joe Buck I know played with Hank III...& that sure ain't him!
I wish Eddie would go back to the 'anti-establishment' person he was in the 90s. Back then he used to obsess over playing cool music nobody ever heard before. Jason Kavetis do you have recordings of the broadcasts?
your opinion is fine, but Im guessing you're not a sports fan...which is also fine...but as a starving artist & huge sports fan I can say that u have NO idea what you're talking about...
Yeah, many are already online for download. I'll post links here soon.
www.gremmie.net/shows/self-pollution-radio
dowload the zip that says 'full broadcast'
used to be a site www.monkeywrenchradio.org that had almost all of them. But appears it has been shut down.
As a huge Pearl Jam fan and a huge Indians fan this sucks but is also awesome lol. My first show was 2018 in Wrigley and they brought out the trophy and I loved that the Cubs won it but it still sucked. Fuckin 3-1.
how could someone from s'd to seattle washington be a cubs fan ?
Eddie is from Chicago.
Bumgarner....Bumgarner.....
I thought Eddie was a White Sox fan.
Eddie Vedder looks like a mix of Gerard Butler, Tom Hardy, Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Clive Owen, Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe and John C. Reilly
Diego Pisfil or they all look like him
I thought Ed was a vegetarian?
Has he ever claimed to be a vegetarian?
*Let stone sing*
Lol.
I don’t get this die hard obsession with a fucking baseball team?
))))
God Buck is such a stiff
To bad he doesn't let himself go silver. He'd be a silver fox for sure
This guy is not real, I mean true. He is playing with the people from the beginning.
