I love this record so much. It belongs to a category of albums that I've had to stop listening for years because I literally stopped enjoying listening to, because I would abuse them so much. "Ritual de lo Habitual" by Jane's Addiction belongs there too. There comes a time when you love something so much, you start to become sick of it. And, man is "Vitalogy" one of my most listened to records of all time, without question. No weak songs. No filler. Just an absolutely marvelous experience from top to bottom. The way they still took chances at this time is just so exciting and unpredictable.
I got this album on Vinyl. My favorite PJ record. Corduroy, Not for You, STBS, Last Exit, Tremor Christ, Whipping, Immortality, Betterman, Satan's Bed and oddly enough I even like Hey Foxymophandlemama Thats me (Stupid Mop).
Thanks Man for share... Tremor Christ is a unbelive track too... Greets from Brasil (yes with S 😊😊) Love to everybody and most importantly on this days... To all planet 🙌🏼🙌🏼🍺🍺
Got this around the time it came out the first 3 Pearl Jam albums were the best kind of went slowly downhill from here, always loved that eerie intro to Betterman which when it's played on the radio has this intro ommited.
I think pearl jams first 5 records are on par or better with any other rock bands first five. They are incredible. After Yield, which is their best imo, they fell off a cliff.
This vid totally overlooked how bad abbruzese was treated. Eddie would blow up and tantrum because Dave was featured on modern drummer and got endorsed by pro Mark and sabian. Dw who weren't endorsing artists at the time gave abbruzese free equipment. Eddie tried to have Dave's name removed off the song credits, took his images off the album re-releases and mtv unplugged art work and wouldn't allow for abbruzese to be inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame. If only stone, Mike and Dave did their own thing we'd have had rock n roll perfection.
@@johnowens4334 What do you meaning by "recording it"? Bad Radio never recorded anything in an actual studio making an album. Recording songs on a 4-track or live really isn't the same thing.
I'm always asked what Pearl Jam album is my favorite. I genuinely can't pick between the first 4.... but if I had to go by which album I have listed to the most ... Vitalogy wins by a mile.
I grew up obsessing over this band , absolutely adored them , saw them a half dozen times. That continued throughout my life right up until I was listing to Eddie on a Howard Stern interview in I think 2020 , maybe 21 where I literally had to turn it off. He’s political views are for the birds and I’ve had trouble listening to them ever since. Stern’s a leftist hypocrite too who I use to be a huge fan of. Very unfortunate. All that being said , the first 5 albums were gems of their time IMO.
Same here. They were actually the first band I heard trashing a President with (Bushleauger) in 2002. Not that I cared about what they believed but you shouldn’t sacrifice the music like so many do these days.I was like wth ? It was weird and that album just wasn’t worth it. It was like that’s all they cared about. You could tell someone was whispering in their ear. Until (Into the Wild) soundtrack came out. That was an epic album by Eddie. I have to say that.
They can ( musicians) have their political views and the media to represent their beliefs and that's fine weather you have the same beliefs or not has nothing to do with how I feel about the music created. BUT politicians pushing their religious beliefs has NO FUCKIN PLACE IN AMERICAN DEMOCRACY! And yes I'm an anti racist, Trump hating MUTHA FU&$ ER! Peace and love y'all 😘

Not a great album. Stone Gossard and Mike McCready made negative comments about it years after it was released especially the first single, Spin The Black Circle. There are still some high quality tracks (Corduroy in particular) but this was the album that Ed took over the band from Stone. Ed felt he was too good to be in a rock band.

D.A. only played drums on 11 of the 14 songs. He did not play on "Bugs" So in total he didn't play on 3 songs "Bugs", "Satan's Bed", "Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me (Stupid Mop)"
Bought this on record the day it came out, I ditched school to get it. No regrets.
Came out on my 16th birthday and got it that day from my sister. Haven't stopped listening to it since!
Did the same thing. Lol
I ditched school to purchase ‘Avocado.’ Regrets.
I went to one of those midnight opening sales to get it.
"Vitalogy" is my favorite Pearl Jam album!
What a masterpiece.
As a artist this shit is motivation
By far my favourite Pearl Jam album
Most people thought the experimental stuff on this album was garbage, but I dug it.
me too i believe some of the best songs from bands come from experimenting
One of the most greatest and unique albums ever made 💫

That “Nothing Man” demo is sublime! It’s haunting and raw… gave me goosebumps!
I think Syd Barrett likes fhis
Love Vitalogy album!! 😊💓🤘✌️Tremor Christ and Nothingman and Betterman awesome songs!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video!!
Tremor is the best
I remember walking in target and see the spin the black circle single I bought it
The best PJ album! PLAY LOUD
That one came soothing and frightening all at once at the all too right time. Cobain dead, school's over, what now, bye safety, hello unknown ....

My first vinyl incredible album
I remember it having (the vice) Prolonged affect of opium in it. A masterpiece.
I've always felt bad for Dave Abbruz (however you spell his name) he got did dirty.
Felt they rushed into making this one. I really enjoyed about half of it. The book inlay was amazing though.
He’s still living off of royalties from Vs and Vitalogy. He made out pretty good.
My own best Pearl Jam best album list
#1 VITALOGY
#2 TEN
#3 VS
#4 NO CODE
#5 YIELD
#6 BACK SPACER
This album is an experience without a doubt... It's not heavy but obscure and mysterious... The mix is the least cleaned on any PJ album

Why didn't Stone take control of what was essentially his band?
We the fans missed out on a lot of good music.
@thesecondRUclips if there had been a side movement of dave with stone and mike that would have been ideal. Maybe mike inez or something on bass
After Dave left, they lost so much magic. I've been a drummer for 40 plus years and he became my biggest influence!!!
Ur kinda wrong about Betterman. He sang it with bad radio. A lot faster of a song back then though. I don’t know if they recorded it though
He wrote it before bad radio.
@@travzimmerman1340 right, he wrote when he was like 16. But I’m talking about performing and recording

Long story short no Bad Radio never recorded Betterman 😂👍
At the Grammy s when Stone thanked Dave and Mike said "ssss" ... That was disrespectful since the guy played on the track
