Giro and tour, what a duo
I love these guys so much. They are so polite and answer questions that we wonder. I cheer for them because they are a TEAM and work like a TEAM. It's hard to beat Jumbo Visma because it's a wall of strength. Athletes who work together are unstoppable!

Jorgenson will be locked in for a domestique role. He will drown in this, the best team in the world. Too bad he didn´t choose another team. Such a waste of talent. Will not get his own chance on a GT as long as Jumbo has both Jonas and Primoz. And if Primoz leaves, they probaly will go with Sepp in the Giro.
@@218nexion Sepp is lousy in the TT. I don't believe he'd be a podium contender. He's a dom all the way. However, Matteo is fairly good in TT, tho he's not consistent... from what I've seen.
@@218nexion Jørgensen is not a GT rider, dude ... sure, he can climb, but he won't ever win a GT no matter what team he has to back him up. He will get his chances though for Jumbo Visma, like everyone else.

I'm a big fan of Team Jumba Visma - including both Primoz and Jonas but certainly Primoz looked slightly on the back foot during the interview, whereas Jonas looked very calm, confident and assured. I guess when you've won the last two Tour de France's against one of the best rider's in the world - you have the confidence and it showed in the interview. Best of luck to both Primoz and Jonas, and the rest of the team over the next three weeks!
Roglic is not a fan of doing media stuff and almost always looks annoyed because they ask stupid questions.

I want Jonas a week from now on with the same confidence he had during the 2nd rest day, saying the race will be decided by gaps of minutes, not seconds (in his favor, obviously).

Have you ever watched Primoz in races? They're both great in the mountains but unless Jonas comes in at 100% on form this will be a bit of a challenge. Not saying he won't do well but he just came off the TdF. Time will tell.

Pogi is the best cyclist in the world currently, but he had two bad days on the Tour, it happens. Like Pogi, Roglic has been racing a lot. Pogi even more so - winning all the classics. Vingengaard on the other hand was preparing the whole year specifically for the tour. It will be interesting to see how he fares on Vuelta. I like Vingengaard but stop acting like he's unbeatable lol.
@@lencekk In what way was Pogi remotely close? You don't even believe that yourself. There was never any doubt that Jonas was stronger apart from one stage, his one bad day. Otherwise he completely dominated Pogi all tour long. You saying Pogi is the best rider is ridiculous at this point. Certainly not the best GC rider, which is the winner of a Grand Tour. If you want to see Pogi win, don't want a Grand Tour, go watch some monument instead.
As a Dane, I would be happy to see any of Primoz, Sepp or Jonas. I am not sure if Wout will be riding, but I like him a lot as a rider.
I've always thought that Roglič was to be the leader, and they brought in Jonas for extra help, because this year is JV's best chance to win all three Grand tours. I just hope there will be no rivalries and tension inside the bus, because both are the best riders in the pro peloton right now! Jumbo-Visma FTW!

Ah, this aged as well as I hoped it would when I first watched it three weeks ago! The way Primož mentioned Sepp reminded me of how he said Jonas was the leader back in Tivoli last year. And everyone just thought he was joking in an attempt to please the locals. Which, tbf, maybe he was, but still.
It's been amazing to watch how you pulled off this fascinating experiment, and a little depressing how the vast majority of people commenting (professional and otherwise) have such a hard time understanding and accepting #samenwinnen

I was surprised when i heard Vingegaard say he was coming to the Vuelta, and i am still surprised to hear him seeing himself as a top contender. History tells us the winner of the Tour struggles in la Vuelta (mostly when there are top contenders), and it was a hard Tour for Jonas. Maybe it is just part of their strategy, so that rivals pay too much attention to Jonas. Anyway, my favourite this year is Primoz, although i would probably like to see Remco on the top of the podium. Good luck anyway to both Roglic and Vingeggard, and also to Kuss, they seem to be nice guys and are extraordinary riders.

primoz definitely deserves to be the leader whenever he attends a grand tour in whatever team he is. he should take the lead this month and also in the next tdf. he should move to another team if jumbo won't let him lead this month and especially in tdf 2024. he is a legend and cycling needs to pay respect imo. and kuss deserves a chance as a leader too in the near future

Primoz can be leader on a different team, hopefully Jonas crushes this Vuelta as well and finally puts to bed arguments like yours. I'm utterly fed up with how little respect there is for Jonas after what he is accomplished. People expecting him to play second fiddle to his own team-mate after he singlehandedly crushed better GC riders to win his second TdF. Please.
oh... it seems I need to clarify what I meant. primoz has a unique personal story that should end with a great success. surely he could have won 2 to 3 gc wins in the last 4-5 tdfs, right? however, his story continued just like as it used to be. I feel a big sympathy for him, that's it. he deserves at least one more vuelta and one tdf.
I admit that jonas achieved great success and he will surely have more. I support him also and have sympathy for his personal story too. still I would love to see primoz achieving what he already deserves. he has the strength both physically and mentally

Risky.. when Contador and froome tried they were both defeated in the tour.
never won the tour again.. now Froome had his crash so that makes sense but Contador came back after his half year suspension in 2012 and won GTs.. just never the tour.

The difference with Movistar is that TJV actually does work as a team and the Movistar guys don’t. Remember Superman Lopez abandoned in 2020 rather than work for Mas.

It's a complete disgrace that team JV is trying to control the Vuelta by telling other teams and riders how to race, STOP IT immediately!
It's fine if you have comments before during and after the race about the race conditions, but when the race is on: Do your own race and let the other teams do the same!!

Doubtful. Tour + Vuelta double is very hard to achieve. If Roglic doesn't crash out, he will win the Vuelta. He will be fresher and more rested. Sept Kuss for GC this year. Absolutely no way. Maybe top 10, but not possible in the modern era to ride Giro, Tour and then win the Vuelta in the same year.

To me, Roglic looks a little uncomfortable and solemn around Jonas. I don't think he's thrilled that Jonas is there. It's tough to come to grips with the truth. His former domestique and climbing lieutenant is the new sheriff on the team. Not saying that Primoz isn't elite still and can't win this if Jonas' form hasn't recovered sufficiently from the tour.
This is such a strange narrative not rooted in reality. Primoz was among the first to realize Jonas could win the Tour. Jonas looks up to Primoz as a mentor and they have a personal relationship outside of just being colleagues. They have known about this joint vuelta for almost a year
